In my industry we have super gnarly extremely stressful tests. Constantly non-stop and it is rough and determines whether we keep that job or not. It may or may not apply to what you're doing but the pressure is always the breaking point. during weld tests I am expected to make perfection every single time. And it sucks so bad.

I spent whole nights in the welding shop welding the same joint configurations dozens of hundreds of times not only in practice but on actual jobs on top of studying material science, metallurgy, how to erect structures etc memorised all my charts on how much parts per million of oxygen would cause discolouration on a purged titanium weldment.

....annnnnnd theeeennnnn on the day it's like I never even picked up a welding torch before, Nerves are a killer.

Exams, tests whatever you do the actual day itself will ruin the most rock solid knowledgeable people just from stress. Trust me.

But what helped me the most was when I stopped caring lmao.

Obviously take things seriously. But take the opportunity to relax yourself.
