I’ll ask that to you on your deathbed when you will be struggling for your life and all the science students aka doctors would be saving you
lol nice one, dont worry you ll get the paper
I like physics, I am okay-ish with math. I'm not into healthcare at all. I'm sure that I don't wanna be studying chemistry much at uni. However, I'm not sure if wanna be in the science field or engineering field. Moreover, I don't want to be too dependent on an industry for my job in my future. So idk what course to take at uni. Any suggestions? Please ping me and let me know! Thanks a lot guys.
I'm also not into human resources. Though I'm sort of into business and finance, I feel like that's not my main plate, and would rather learn it for my personal needs and plans
I think you should go for engineering
hmm, but why do you feel that science(more towards research) isn't apt for me..Any specific reasons?
If u go to science side
U will need constant grasp of concepts
If you think you want to constantly revise concepts and keep learning then yes u should go for science
that is exactly what I'm not sure about, - if I wanna be more academic, or apply it to the practical aspects of life, I feel that I can cope in both, but I'm not able to see where my interest lies...
Lemme take a quick test
What did u get in olevel/igcse
not rlly sure where to ask this but how do you decide what you want to be
like i cant figure out or decide what i want to be lol
Yeea helps aalot
??
You can do industry R&D btw, it isn't only academia
If it helps, I'm in second year of maths and physics and I still don't know whether I wanna do industry or academia
Academia does have a slightly higher barrier to entry though, simply because of how long it takes. You only get a stipend during your PhD so your earning capacity is quite delayed
If that's important to you
But degrees like physics / chemistry / math are very versatile
thoughts on aviation?
I got grade 9 in - math, biology, physics. I got a grade 8 in chemistry and grade 7 in English
Oh okay
Oh, I'm writing my exams now for As Level ,in a month I'll be in A level
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out where my interest lies more than salary. But that's quite important as well
Yo, is a bachelor's degree in Psychology worth it? like can we start working after completing it and earn enough??
what work do psychologist even do
like tell people everything will be ok
or you could be more in to not working so then just try getting into business
Do you really need a degree for IT or computer science to land a coding job?
i mean isnt that all based off of yout experience and skill unlike other degree?
im great at python and c++ but not enough for a professional job but i assume im projected to reach that level within years before i complete second year in college
^ talking about university
a lil confused cause learning computer shit does not require a teacher or someshit
keep in mind. im talking about the states
bro once i start to earn at the end of the year i swear ima hire a lawyer and education advisor😂 you guys should do the same
Bruh!! they repair ppl dude!! And besides there are other fields than just being a therapist!
I have completed IGCSE and now I don't know what to do, I don't know what I need to become in future, so anyone can give me advice what to do?
what do you like to do
besides games and stuff
Do A-levels
Do A-levels
A levels with the right subjects you desire to get a degree in
A levels is definitely the right choice in my opinion. It can really prepare you for college because I've seen the textbooks - they're advanced. But if you don't know what to major in, you might want to ask yourself,"What do you like to do and what's a subject you would love to carry forward".
It's not easy to decide but take your time. Everyone's been there so talk to some people. Maybe explore a little and see what really interests you.
i m one that loves science subjects, likes maths, does well in english. Hates bio deeply. I wanna take architecture
i seee, thanks @unreal canopy @sharp turtle @plucky nexus
Gave +1 rep to Katnix#1021, EYW Gaming#4688, Khwa's Biggest Simp#0551
okk thx, lol how do i explore tho
Gave +1 rep to EYW Gaming#4688
like search online and stuff?
Yeah i also study without a teacher
Wait you already in uni or in as
Cause my friend keep saying cs in a level is not needed to get into uni for computer science
But to get a job practice a lot and dooo ton of projects like make website with python using python frameworks and stuff and add them to your resume and boom u can apply for a coding job
Cause you can be a freelance coder with no degree btw
You need maths a level but not CS
Yeah i took all my school has to offer so every path is open
Lmao
But also freelance is rough because you have to constantly keep looking for projects
True but its like a side job like a hobby
And it also dont pay as much
For AS I do:
Math
Phy
Chem
CS
Business
The plan was engineering.. but now I just feel lost.
Suggestions?
Do you know why you feel lost?
And fm
If you're trying to get into a top uni
In UK at least
Nope not all of them
Hence why I said
If you're trying to get into top uni
It would give a much better chance
.
I'm not entirely confident with my path..
I'm just not as passionate
you'll develop it over time, trust me until like second year of uni none of us know what its like
you got unnecessary subjects. you only need up to 3. or in rare cases 4. why do business when others are science orientated
I've got 5A's
then dont lose that grade in a2 and your set for any university
How you sure huh
I also take 5 btw
5 AS gang
@uneven oar that ain't a problem
@wicked drift so engineering yeah?
do you guys think a policing & criminal justice degree is worth it? i want to join the police after uni but i feel like the degree is very vocational and wont give me many other options
Hey is it possible to apply to uni in january if i retake a subject in october november?
i think u could, but when the uni ask for the marks ull give them the predicted marks
i had a similar question but what if im a private candidate? how would i send predicted grades
last year they came out on Jan 18
that means it goes beyond commonapp deadline and might even go beyond ucas this year
last year was covid tho
Hi 🙂
Wut do u guys think about Human Resources :/
Cant think that deep
i want to be a cowboy
first are u a boy? if yes; good; become/adopt a cow
if no; good; change ur gender; become/adopt a cowboy; tho cowgirl better cz changing gender is nt 100% successful
yes i also prefer cowgirl
:D.
Hello
Im looking to major in a field related to mathematics and currently my eye is on a double major in statistics and another subject or engineering and another subject though I am really conflicted. I have no preference and i would enjoy doing both but my main concern is the demand. I am currently in Asia and the viable countries in my eyes are Singapore, Canada and Germany. My question is, which major and country is more feasible?
how much does mcdonalds fry cook pay
2 mcchickens and a cheese burger
😂 😂 😂 nice pay tbh
Why you aiming for so low
You can do better
People who work in McDonald’s are normally students normally and it’s not a ideal career path
Cause the pay is too low
thats a good amount
Engineers don't really do math tbh. They just get calculators to do it for them. But that's also me being condescending as a physics person 😂
LMFAO
unless you dont put it in and approximate to 1 or 10 depending on whether you wanna underestimate or overestimate
50123012341201234122341 yeah bro just round down to to 500000000000000
Well point being they aren't the ones doing the math
So liking math is not a very good reason by itself to do engineering
However dont do engineering if you don't like math
^^
well im not very concerned about me enjoying the courses im just scared abt the career opportunities and demand
im leaning towards majoring in statistics and majoring/minoring in finance/computer science or smth but im afraid of not being able to land a job
you're majoring in physics?
Yeah
Stats and CS will get you somewhere dw
Should be in demand enough
ight tysm

No worries
Hey guys, I'm conflicted between two choices. One is aerospace engineering and the other is astrophysics.
I want to do something closely related to physics so if somebody is studying astrophysics, physics or engineering, could you shed some light on this? What do I choose?
I'm planning on doing aerospace engineering as well......
Hey guys, do any of you know if A level math is necessary for US unis
wat course
you probably wouldn't survive some courses without math
and i don't think US has any strict entry requirements
so ig yeah it isn't necessarily required
but without it
you might not get into some courses
and even if you do
it's unlikely you'll make it through
I'm not sure what to do first, like do I get a degree in computing first and then do law or the other way around -.__-.
Why do you want degrees for both
do a computing law degree
idk i made it up
Hi does anybody know what does a major mean like major in English
I swear they is only like Law with foreign languages or Law with Business I don’t think I came across a course that offered a joint honors in Law + Computing
Nah there is i've seen it before
Which country lol
UK
I have E in As physics Do i need to retake guyz or give A2 exam directly for CS degree
Nah i've seen it offered before
Depends whether AS counts towards your final A2 grade if it doesn’t just move on to A2 exams and work your butt off to get an A*/A in that and then move on to a good university for computer at a reputable university
Google it
No because I know there is no such course in England and I am not the one needing to proof anything you are the one claiming it
Maybe at a USA university not a UK university though
Show proof then
I am not believing this until you show me actual proof if you are right I will stop doubting you
Thanks but It counts thats why i am asking bruh
How much though
50% As and 50% A2 it is cambridge board
If you get an A* in A2 what would your average overall grade be
Do you know what you need for university
C mayb but there is not A* in A2 ig there is only A
Avg B
Retake AS then
Okay so retake AS Physics wbu your other 2 subjects
Math comp they fine tho
Bro I told you google it you'll see
Probably not as a major+minor but certain cs courses do let u have freedom with electives so u can tinker with that
Actually wait nvm i think u should try looking it up a few unis offer a similar course
Ain’t googling shit
Either you prove it or I don’t believe it
Ok still not googling shit
Its fucking 2022 and people are too stingy to type a few letters on this keyboard
Truly privileged
Who says I am being stingy now I just know they don’t offer it
It’s called not wasting your time not being privileged
The amount of time youve spent typing here
U couldve alr done the google search
And confirmed everything
Confirmed what confirmed what I already know damn bruh I need to confirm what I already know
Why don’t you google search it
And then prove me wrong
Urban legend
It's more of a law degree focused around computing laws than learning CS itself
is it better to do cs degree standalone then do mba? or is it better to do cs with business/economics minor?
i want to study cs but i dont want to do like programming all my life, i wanna somehow move to management positions instead so what should i do
Bruh what am i reading
Why do yall wanna do cs degrees then not do cs and then move onto business
Like everyone jus wants cs even tho they could care less for cs
i would rather do entrepreneurship with like cs background
Saying everyone very generally here
But don't want to code for my entire life either lol
same
i was thinking of business minor but some1 told me to just do an mba which is better
Data analyst sounds down ur lane
Not that I don't want to code
Or doing CS in a way that benefits business
ya sth like that
It's that I don't want to work
like at some point i want to have my own business
related to cs i do like coding ps
Why dont u find a major + minor then
You'll still gonna need to programme then lol
Even if you don't actually write lines of code
You're gonna have to design the system
are minors worth it?
cause apparently minors are useless idk doe
Dont go for minors man
🤣🤣🤣
lollzz
If you're in the industry for long enough and are good at your job you will eventually move to more managerial leadership positions through your career anyway
Doing a business minor is for people who wanna have their own business imo
Please dont say it like that
Nani alr sounds disappointed in me
She didnt even point it out
Thats how bad it is
I didn't wanna make you feel bad :(
Today feels too weird with nani not pulling out the chappal on me its gonna be even weirder
nani dying internally until thursday
Exams?
🥺 thank
this is truly an us moment
I wanna enjoy life and go explore
but that means some of that sweet money 🤑
This is why I'm trying to go into a field with remote work possibilities, allows foreign pay and I can enjoy life and not a boring 9-5 repetitive dull world
If someone wants a mind, have it like him
what
to be what?
they don't turn out to be weird
glue sniffers seems weird
exactly
i thibk i shall go bacj to aleep
Btw bachelors in comp sci has some other fields too i need to research wnd see if they're wortg it or no
any good source other then uni pages themselves? they can be vauge at times
ex Data Analyst
What are the minimum a level grades you need to get if you want to become a GP?
You mean a general practitioner so a doctor
yh
Ummm I guess you need Biology + Chemistry plus another A-level subject of your chosen however biology + chemistry essential if you want to get into med school and I would say they would be looking for AAA or above in A-levels to get accepted into medical school and you also need a high grade in your UKCAT/BMAT university admission tests for medical school to get in you also would need A/A* in all your IGCSEs as well
@rough field
Disclaimer : these are the entry requirements for most universities in England for medical school and I am generally speaking about UK medical schools and they normal entry requirements to get. If you are thinking of applying to universities outside of England then I suggest you don’t take this advice I have given since it’s tailored to UK entry requirements for medical schools and to look at your university course page for individual entry requirements for there medical school if you aren’t planning on studying in the UK
@rough field
Thanks
Umm I have a Doubt
I am thinking to applying to a UK uni
Wdym
so basically what if we did not chose Bio for AS& AL the admissiom will be given in UK?
Then you couldn’t do medicine at nearly virtually all medical schools in England what’s so hard to understand about that
Okay then that’s good to hear my advice is helpful to somebody
okay so if we study Bio instead of math
Is there any chance that we can join enginerring college
without math ?
Probably not
@lucid kelp foundation year
Besides youd suffer so hard in an eng course without maths
Oki
You would have to enter a foundation year but essentially no you would need maths A-level for an engineering course
Unless you are studying a foundation year
Also how many UCAS points do you need as a minimum to enter uni?
There is no minimum UCAS points you need depends on the entry requirements of that individual university
However for medicine ideally you will be aiming for AAA in your A-levels and above
Thank you so much for your help
How we can prepare for 2 exams in same day guyz
Its kind of a personal thing but yeah I want both of them
dont
u cant
do it 1 day in advace
Wat
i mean like study for 1 subject on one day then the other subject the other day
or mayb u are very disciplined but i can never study 2 subject in same day
Thanks for the info

hello so I been wondering
does anyone have any experience working with children
and also what the job role was and what it entitled
Sus
Bruhs tryna work with little kiddies
yeah @quiet plank worked as a professional child groomer for a while
No I asked this question because I recently considering accepting a job offer as a teacher assistant for SEN children a company contacted me asking me whether I want to work or not there on Indeed saying my cv is excellent
It wasn’t for anything sus related
Just a general knowledge whether this job will be hard or not or difficulty
Any reasons why I don’t know if I can balance this job with my school work
But probably will accept
Yeah it does seem fun
you have to decide
look at the hours and stuff
They given me two roles
and see if you have enough time left for school
Residential support worker and Teacher Assistant for SEN children
I go to school 4 days a week currently
However next year that will increase to 5 days a week
and is the job daily
Wait I am confused if you got 2 roles do you get paid for each role combined
Cause they offered me a dual role or something
Alright
But thank you @wise eagle for advising me
Gave +1 rep to Ramen#6996
np honestly I have no idea about the difficulty or anything so try to see if it's manageable
I just think you can learn a lot from it
Your contract will be formed
And you'll be paid based on the workload and how they decide to pay you
It's not a X+Y
Have you talked to people at the company? Let them know you're concerned and that you're a student. There's always a probationary period, ask about that and if the HR is nice then they'll help you around
That’s what weirdo me out they saw my CV so should know already I am currently a student I made it quite obvious I was a student. Hopefully the HR are nice people
Also question @shadow tree what sort of DBS check do they do on you if your working with children
Dunno it'd depend on the organisation but I wouldn't be worried unless... You have reasons to be??😂
Sometimes students are good, I mean it's not weird to get a job as a student
But talk to a person if you can, it's easier to connect than on emails
Not I am not worried if they performs a Standard or basic DBS check on me more worried if it’s enhanced because then the police can provide them information with anything that may be relevant to the role
Well that's the point of a DBS check
I thought a DBS check just proves you aren’t a criminal and that I am not since I haven’t gotten any convictions , arrests or cautions
However I run away from home when I was 14
And the police detained me and brought me back home
Idt that would go on your record?
So worried they might mention that and don’t want that brought in
Usually it doesnt yeah
But if you're working with special needs kids then they might want to be more careful anyway?
Also the worst that could happen is that you don't get it
And considering you're still debating whether you wanna do it or not, it's not bad
That’s why am asking ... cause if they perform an enhanced DBS check then police can give them information on the character and nature of the person that’s they are employing
I will do it
It’s. A new experience and I believe this will help me
guys i want to be a youtube gamer
give me some advice
should i continue my work
?
like i already have like 900k subs on my channel
There are no helper roles set for this channel! | Please ask a moderator to set one!
thats a good attitude to it!
honestly idk, you'll probably just have to try and see?
also you'll know when you send them the docs what kind of check they do
like they cant do it without your knowledge
Can i do engineering without bio?
Yes...totally....
Apart from genetic engineering or engineering in biotechnology that is....
So only this engineering courses need biology?
As far as ik yes ...
Almost all engineering courses only require math and physics......
ok tq @hushed inlet
Nah even those, you can probably do like a foundation course instead
Hmm....fair enough....
If it still comes under an engineering faculty
If you're doing something under a pure science faculty you might need bio tho
Is passport id valid for registering cie exam ???
Yep
U 100%
I used my passport for all my CIE exams
Thanks for info

@fresh hornet i want to apply to university of sydney as a medical student. What should i do?
Bruh
I am smort
@glossy quest are you sure you want to ask him though. He kinda of doesn’t like you and finds you extremely annoying
He also doesn’t even do medicine
At university
Ya but he is in uts
He does computer science /data
Man did you just ask to apply to the university of Sydney because you want to meet him
Omg this is true love ❤️
Boys meet boys
Boys talks to boys
No by the time i get in he will be gone
Its best medicine university in australia
😢 you could have been best friends at university as long as he doesn’t realize who you are
Thats why i wanna get in
Oh makes sense now
I thought you wanted to get in just to constantly annoy him at university
Good luck finding him make sure to look in the computer department if you see him around and he’s still there and also to ask for anyone who has discord you would find him easily
Nah I just had the role because I wanted to see the IG Chemistry chat
Or thats someone else
Ah
Do u have any tips
How i can get into uts
Well lemme check entry requirements but make sure to do Biology + Chemistry at A-levels and to get overall good performance at IGCSE levels
Bro UTS and USyd are different universities
I go to USyd which is University of Sydney
UTS is University of Technology Sydney
Which one do you wanna go to😂
Thanks bro

Bruh idk I'm not a med student 😂
My process was sooo much easier
@dull spoke @vestal vapor i wanna become a hentai actor any thoughts
support
full support
valid
😬
u dont support?
what subjects do i need to study in igcse to do this course ?
you should do really well in math
You can pick 5-6 IGCSE subjects including maths and English language ideally and then for A-level make sure to pick Maths A-levels
and if your school has add maths i'd recommend taking it
same for further math at a levels
do i have to do A levels?
wdym
can i do a diploma instead?
Not really
maybe there are ones where you don't but idk any

Anyone from UK?
Canadian engineering BSc
Do you guys have any ideas about careers for BS Entrepreneurship?
Yessir
@solemn sand Wide range of careers
you can be data analyst and other sorts of stuff
but its best to do your own business if your taking part in that pattern
Oooh thank youu
UMM I hava doubt
so which subject did U provided the notes @quiet plank
A level gender studies @dense lake
guys do you think psychology course is cool
Yes
do you think it's cool
people have different interests
Try researching about stuff you like, and stuff that you can do
Oh hey Ramen long time no see
hello

Hey
Anyone know which jobs in the aviation field which involve the usage of computer Science?
aeronautical or aerospace engineering
Avionics and Simulation would be cs heavy
Also you don’t have to do an AE degree to work in that industry, you can still do a CS or EE and make your way into the industry
Hello all
I just finished my igcse's and will do my AS exams in january and may/june sessions. I have taken Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Hopefully, ill finish them as full A levels. My question is what'ss the best major/career path to take if Canada is in question? Im leaning towards one of either paths: A statistics major and a major/minor in computer science/business related topic, or an engineering
major. I personally would enjoy doing both equally so the decider here is really just the
demand for careers concering these majors and was hoping someone could help. I cant
really find some statistics about job demands in canada other than glassdoor and these
websites.
Thanks in advance : )
Is A levels in Chem necessary for engineering (not chemical engineering)
What is an AE degree and what is EE?
Haven't heard of that, gotta do some research
AE is Aerospace engineering
yes
you could look at actuarial sciences as a career its very well paid; you could major in actuarial sciences, maths or stats for it.
or any other maths or finance-related degree
hmm ive been looking into it but from what i can see the demand isnt really high and taking actuarial science really constricts your opportunities unlike stats and another one
You aren't wrong about that.
I'm looking forward to actual science as a subject, but I'll be taking maths for my bachelors
Due to the opportunities available
hmm im really leaning towards a statistics major with a computer science/finance/... instead of engineering but engineering seems like the safest choice
tysm btw
Gave +1 rep to A.K.A_5#0169
You aren't wrong but if U are doing everything in terms of practicality the best choice is the one you get most money from and that is not engineering if you don't go into a more a very specialised field like marine, aerospace, software or computer engineering
No worries
I have been through the crisis of deciding my career so I can understand how overwhelming the options can be
do u need law in a levels to do forensics psychiatry in the future?
You want to be a forensic psychiatrist then?
To become a doctor you need to have gone to medicine school
So you might need to do a 5 yr medical degree before going on to do specializing training to become a psychiatrist
Is it advisable to pursue a career in Cybersecurity after a Computer Science degree?
yes i do know about the process of becoming a psychiartrist
i m just not sure if i need law in alevel for it or not
depends on uni but prolly not
if you have an interest ig
why not
now who is i heckin' love maths letset or indigo
What I can do with Maths, Physics, Biology and Computer Science at A Level? Can I get a job in the medicine sector?
I believe most of the med unis require chem along with bio, u can check w/ the uni requirements otherwise
About the jobs, i feel like biomedical engineering might be of ur interest if u took those subjects
So, it's a must for me to do Chemistry 😭
well, research is key, there must be some unis which may not require
but generally speaking, most of them do
Ahhh, I see 😞
important alevel subjects if one is majoring in Environmental science ?
get rid of cs and take chem for medicine
yes sadly for most countries it is a must
Bio is useless since Math Phy Chem are Universal Language
Bio is like only about earth habitats & human sytem something etc...
I haate Bio more than you
the thing is... I love Computer Science 😭
do cs then
get rid of Bio & take Chem
are there countries you know of that don't consider it a must?
bio arguably most important science
then CS is useless
But you see...
if u wanna do Medicine u don't need Math & CS
if you like cs
I'm using a computer right now and-
You need Math, babe 🤣
if you go to engineering U need Math & CS
check My roles Babe 😏
YES! Which engineeering tho?
Okay, and?
A.I. & Robotics or Civil or etc...
I am a Engineer student 💀
Hm...
Alright, can I do Biomedical Engineering with these?
Nice, and how's that?
u can do Bio engineering
welp easy for now
Nope
started ?
Ahh i see
Yea hate bio and then die without a treatment coz no one knows shiz in bio
Bruh man CS is useless for bio
So is maths
I said take math coz math has more benefit than CS
No CS isn’t required in anything
Fun fact: even CS uni courses don’t need CS in a levels instead they need maths
Robotics needs physics and math btw
For this you need all three sciences and maths
One of my classmates is going after this field and he checked a few unis so yea…
@prisma mauve ik that ppl really have this weirdo mentality of CS being the next big thing but tbh it is just like any other field but there is one catch
It is way harder and boring then ppl seem to think 😂
Although as level CS isn’t that hard, just remember that teachers for CS aren’t that good in general. I have seen multiple instances of students saying that they know more than their teacher. This just means that students have to do a lot of self study which isn’t fun at all.
I don’t want to discourage you or some shiz but just keep this in mind.
Just see what your preferences are and on that note
You can easily just take all three sciences and math
And then after the a levels
Take CS in uni if you really want to
This way you will avoid boredom for two years 😂
Coz CS courses actually start from scratch as they know that literally everyone just takes maths in a levels and then two sciences
So you should be fine if you take all sciences and math
This subject selection would set you up for CS, doctor, bio mechanical engineer, any other engineer, etc
Hey guys, I was thinking to change from engineering subjects to business subjects for A Levels, does anyone have any recommendations for the subjects I should take related to business and what sort of jobs I get from business bcz I am in a confusing state so if anyone can help me it’ll be a pleasure:))

GUYS can i study AI or CS degree with maths and bio a level
yes
thx

Business has endless fields tbh
I take business CS and maths
So ik how large of a scope business has
Just as an example you can get jobs as a marketing manager, operations manager, new product development manager, product launch manager, logistics manager, sales manager etc
Basically you can have a shot at getting into any firm
Be it tech companies or large hospital chains
That’s what I love about business 😂
What do you all think about MBiols and a comparision of it to a traditional way of taking an undergrad then a post grad
What is mbiols
Depends if you want a research heavy masters tbh, integrated in the UK doesn't have much research because it's short
Unless you specifically do an MRes separately
Other masters are all taught postgrads
Today my school released the results for our scholarship offers, and i got non 💀, my A level results didn't come out yet obviously BUT when they do and I get a lower grade should I retake the whole A level next year?
I'm just very anxious i would have to STUDY AT MY COUNTY
What were the results of your scholarship offer
he said he didnt get any lol
what were your predicted grades btw (If you dont mind me asking ofc)
Yea :(
I'm a private candidate so idk yet, i did badly cause I had like 5 months to get ready or sth, tho I do have my first semester results (not a level, it's the GED of my country, its basically all of A level lessons just one or two chapters less, and ofc easier) I got 92%
Well it doesn't have creative questions like A levels 💀, there is a pattern and a fixed number of questions that are repeated, if you paid attention to the questions a bit it would be very easy, unlike A levels which YOU need to read the question multiple times and MAKE sure u didn't miss a variable
Also 3 hours for no reason
Had all the time to contemplate all my life decisions
And redo a question that was originally right and lose 6 marks
🤣
I really wanna become a pilot but idk what degree to do? Should I go for something social sciences related? Should I go for an aviation school in Pakistan or abroad? I really wanna go abroad for my undergraduate but I do not come from a very rich family and hence my finances are limited. Are there any scholarships for aviation schools? Will my degree of aviation school be worthed less of I do it from Pakistan.
your degree wont be worthless if you do it from pakistan but the opportunities for your job application will be limited
there are scholarship abroad you need to consult with x school to find out
also degree if im right is undergraduate in aviation
tho you can be a pilot without a degree its better to have one for more chances
The air force is probably your best option for flying
Also for GDP they accept guys after their bachelors too!
So what you CAN do, is go for aeronautical in NUST as a civilian and then apply for the air force as a GDP, the plus points include
: 1)higher chances of selection cuz CAE there is mainly taught by the military
2) knowledge is always good before hand and will be a helping hand
3)If, God Forbid, you get grounded, there is a thing where'd they'd transfer you yo Engineering, and not Logistics or Administration
You just have to be less than 24 on the date of commission
(I'll get the 3rd point confirmed by a guy I know, but from what I've heard it's true and logical)
Oh and after serving for a specific time you can just resign and start flying for airlines
The Air force? I am not really interested in Army.
Would it be like possible to go for Aviation school and bachelors simultaneously
Hmmmmm in not so sure about that
I think no
But maybe
Very decisive answer
Man I ain’t so sure about aviation
international business law or business major in smth else?
whats better and has a bigger future?
For someone who did 9709 AS pure 1 and stats 1
Is it better to pick Pure 3 and mechanics
Or Pure 3 and stats 2
Note: pursuing computer engineering
(And I would prefer mechanics by the way)
Stats 2 is dogshit
Do mechanics + pure 3
fuck mechanics
No fuck you
Mechanics was easy cmon what
Which of mechanics and stats 2 would you guys recommend taking for next year
||I am bad at both mechanics and stats||
@fresh hornet how much different was stats 2 compared to stats 1
Lot of new topics tbh
But some of it is an extension
Especially of stuff like binomial and normal
oh ok
Yee
did u do physics a level
Yepp
Very little new stuff in Pure 3, just a lot of calculus
oh ok I thought u guys had differentiation and integration of trig graphs and also logarithms , complex numbers etc.
that is all new
Yeah we have that
New stuff is like vectors and complex numbers
Anything else that is new is either more calculus or something that will be used for calculus in the future
matricies aswell I guess
Also, I have do an extra AS level next year if I pass AS English literature
if you take phsyics then take mech
if you take any other combo
like cs, math, business then take stats
@red verge @fresh hornet Which one do u recommend/think would be a useful one to choose for a CS/Math major other than Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science
i would swap out chem for business
^^
Yeah I mean I have done IGCSE Chemistry but don't wanna do AS chemistry
Then you can go the data sci side if you want
business on its own is an entirety of a subjevt
damn what do u learn in business
have no clue about it
I have met the requirements for it though
I can literally pick any AS level that my school offers except AS Biology
see for cs you need maths only
i can even go ahead and say you can f cs
and take chem
this way
you would have 4 fields going through
cs
engineering
business
btw engineering and business alone are massive fields [like I can't even mention the potential jobs out there in these fields]
so you will be chill then
yeah ik but don't really want to chem because of what people are telling me about chem + chem teachers for A levels are not that good at my school
yeah I think so
I never had interest in engineering that's why I did not take physics or chemistry
@red verge did u do accounting
was thinking of doing that
basically I do not ever want to write an essay again
I guess that only really leaves me with accounting
@red verge @boreal pecan
Thanks
Gave +1 rep to KINGSLAYER-1#7588, leblanc#0005

😶
If I do Maths, Physics, Computer Science and Biology at A-level what can I become?
Literally anything
yup
Sorry to sound pushy, but could you specify 💀
You could go in Engineering fields Medical, Computer science or IT realeated or even law
But I'd suggest take 3
Take three subjects?
engineering could be limited because you dont take chem
I suggest take 4, max 5
Yeah
Not really unis require maths and physics as requirements for engineering...
I see, some are a real pushover with AL chem
Hmm
damn bio and CS
Yes
Yeah, I'm trying to run away from Chemistry completely 😅
thats what I did, and then found out I needed it mid AS
Why? What's the reason behind your suggestion?
Oof, what are you studying?

idk ig 3 just seems less to me
Most students in my class who enjoyed studying took 4 subs
5 if you have no social life
And yourself?
Did you take 4?
5 in AS, 4 in A2
Don't be like that 💀

Noice, I see you're smart
Comp Sci lol
Nice gl
for some reason the uni asked for Chem
Aug 11 A2 results 😢
Don't worry you passed bruv
concordia uni in Canada
Hmm got accepted?
Sheeesh I hope you get in btw
Hmm don't worry I bet you'll pull off A's
Dw im not expecting it either
What’re you expecting >.>
Nothing...
best idea for anyone who wanna take cs / engineering combo
take chem math phy
math alone gonna get you in a cs degree easily
you dont need a level cs
i do these with cs and egp
general paper
english general paper
its compulsory for us
its an as subject
lol
yesh
yes
already started
tyu
Sure why not just saying
I never wanted to go into engineering so I took business math CS
If I wanted engineering and CS
Then I would take
Math phy chem
I am saying sure go on with that combo
As you wish I was just suggestion some combos for ppl
Ohh okay
Search English general paper
Alright, cool
