any plans on what you want to go for?
Medicineeee
Following in the footsteps of my parents lmao
But honestly they dont want me to do it I just developed an interest and now Im in love
So doctorrr inshallahhhhhh
good that you have a personal interest in it, i do too but its just too stressful for me
hence why im kinda bordering medical
inshallah
It can be so stressful yes but I feel like if you're dedicated to do something you're down to sacrifice everything for it lmao
fair
How does failing a specific paper affect your overall class grade
like if i get a U on pure math 1 but got a C on prob/stats 1 does my entire grade for AS maths turn into a U
Well pure has a higher weightage soooo i think you have a chance like a small chance at a D
Hi! Are any of you taking Law in A levels?
What three subjects are reccomended to be taken in A levels if one wants to become a lawyer?
English as a second language
English Literature
i am planning on taking eng lit
Maths
maths for law?
Or History
Yeah
why literature?
A lot of universities like taken “ traditional A-levels “
Helps with your grammar and essay techniques
maths is needed for law?💀
Helps you develop a critical thinking
makes sense
@slow widget what kind of lawyer?
Someone does sociology , business and art and design
And someone else does History , English literature and Maths
You can take law, english as a second language and english literature or accounting
I wouldn’t recommend taking accounting for A-levels if you are planning on studying a Law degree
Universities prefer students who take more traditional A-levels subjects
yeah but if one wishes to be attorney lawyer then accounting is needed as well
Than students who take “ soft “ A-level subjects
What
Not really
Maths is better A-level to have than accounting
taxes, properties, etc
Eh
Im just giving recommends
Alright
u dont know about accounting?
I know what accounting is
It’s basically like book keeping
that is basic
If one wishes to be attorney lawyer
then he or she needs to study accounting for it
such as
You don’t even know what type of lawyer they want to be 💀
tax, property, inheritance, etc
i already ask them what type of lawyer they wish to be
Alright
if they dont want to be attorney lawyer then accounting is not needed
I think they should study English literature , Economics , Maths or History
Those are good A-levels to have
they can
as long as if they dont want to be attorney lawyer
this is better choice
@unreal canopy
what happened to your P3 and P4?
And most websites
cancelled?
Recommended to study
For which subject
Business
My business exams start on the 23rd May
Yeah
ah
is cie harder than aqa?
Give me your specification
man
if only my dad allows me to study psychology
And I can compare with ours
cuz psychology isnt important for business
but ik i will study it by myself
not for exam but future
Maths is important
ikr
Don’t study economics and business
but no time
Cause there are a lot of overlaps
I have given AS Business and Economics
Summer 23
😭
then A Business and Economics in Winter 23
Are you sure you wanna do business at university
Like you know you don’t need a degree in business to start a business right
cuz I love taking hard exams
I only need degree
not just for business but for travelling
Like if you don’t have university degree
Then you won’t be able to move to Japan
Unless you have degree in Bachelor or Master degree
Oh okay
Same I have heard the same thing
And I believe CIE is harder than AQA cause more students take the subject
So more opportunities are better for uni yeah?
If I got an A* in AQA A-level Business and you got an A* in CIE A-level Business it doesn’t give any advantage that you did a harder exam board than me cause in the end the qualification and grades are the same so we would both get equal opportunities
Equal? Fr?
Employees and Universities aren’t like “ oh he or she did a harder exam board but got a lower grade while this person did a much easier exam board and got a higher grades let’s give the guy that did the harder exam board the job or place instead of the person who did the easier one “ it doesn’t work like that universities and employees view it the same
nope
My A-levels despite them being from a different exam board aren’t going to be viewed any differently than your A-levels if we both get the same grade in A-levels
It doesn’t matter if your exam board is harder or easier
The qualification you receive would be the same as someone who did the same A-level but did it in a different exam board
So basically if I get A* in CIE and you get A* in AQA
we would join same best uni yeah?
The only time they would be viewed differently
If we got different grades
Not the same
It’s doesn’t only depend on A-level grades as well
Universities look at a range of factors when considering who to give a offer to
btw we will talk later as i have to teach student
Alright cya
i do
hihi.
basically, rn im in igcse (o3) and i start a levels next year, i am giving 3 papers now and 2 in oct/nov.
should i consider moving to ib instead of doing a levels as i’m planning on going to uni in canada?
second how do ik what subjects i should take next year? im not sure what i want to do anymore, life is hard. i’ve always wanted to be a lawyer, i like business as well but business in a levels has no credits in canada. and idk if i should take law as my english is trash.
lastly i want to join the un youth program, i want to work in the un it’s actually like a side kinda drama yk, having the light blue passport typa thing 😭
how do i join the youth program?
and should i look into and join it? im guessing from school which will be happening next year but is there also an online thing for it?
im j confused so that’s why i’m here….
adding to the uni thing, if i want to take law i don’t want to do uni in canada, i would rather go to the US or Uk, canada is j there cuz im an canadian citizen so it’s an easy access 💀
it can b actually in A2 psychology theres a whole specif chapter for psychology and organizations
ofc it is
Anyone know any majors that involves research with the human mind like understanding autism better?
A lot of candidates chose A levels over IB as A levels has no mandatory subject requirements but IB does. A levels is like a specialisation. You chose 3 to 4 subjects and study them on depth.
If you want to pursue Law there are plethora of options for you in A levels. You can take a number of subject combinations based on your passions. You could possibly chose from the following subjects in your combination: Law, psychology, Sociology, English Language. You could also incorporate Philosophy or Politics if they are offered by your desired board. My advice to you is to research wisely and then chose your board and subjects. As for business, you can check the recognition of other fields related to it. Like a combination of you Economics, Math and one more subject might get you in business school but you’ll have to check the requirements. You have long time till A Levels. Research on What do your desired programs at universities require in A levels. Honestly, imo you should consider Canada as Its cheaper for its citizens. UK/US just cares about money, if you have that then you are good to go. It’s IGCSE chill out, focus on ECA’s.
Abnormal Psychology majors, psychiatrists, neurologists, speech therapists might also work and specialise to help the autistic children help in their communication skills.
what the mandatory subjects for IB?
You must do 3 standard level subjects and 3 high levels
They have IG grade requirements
Standard levels require you to pass the IG subject I guess
HL each subject has a different requirement
Like HL chemistry Im pretty sure they expect you to have over a B in IG chemistry
So you must have a total of 6 subjects
Out of the 6 you need to do math
You need to do english
And you need to do a second language
And for the second language you have the option of picking it in AB which is the most basic form of the language like you start with alphabets type thing
5-6 years of medical school if you are from Germany, UK,Pakistan, India. Then +4 years of specialisation.
You could try getting majoring into neuroscience at Undergraduate level if you are interested in this field and dont want to go to med school but there might be limited employment opportunities for you. In Neuroscience, you’ll be studying about Brain structures, nervous system, neurobiology with a lot of references to Psychology. You’ll probably require strong postgraduate studies to secure a good job and work in your desired speciality.
Ooo nvm then lol thanks
Gave +1 rep to ismæ3l#5592
IB is another option instead of A levels for a course after IG
Pre-uni course just like A levels is
It depends on you where you wanna go to uni etc etc
Theres alot of factors
ivy league
Where though
Would recommend IB personally but if youre already familiar with a levels I suggest you research about IB if your interested
Its def alot different course wise
Same difficult in the end of the day tbh
i think u have to do undergrad on psychology
nawhhh
r u saying u dont have to? or like u r expressing u dont wanna cus i dont get 😭
I don't want to do psychology
all I heard is:
- too many ppl r taking it
- a lot of research papers to do (if it's about behaviour I'll get bored over time)
Neurology 😭
but like autism is abnormality. and thats part of psychology
hm
is it only focused on behaviour
neurology is not a undergrad subject as far as i know.
or also on the anatomy
hmm
hol on lemme look into courses 😭
@hushed kernel theres neuroscience
in bachelor of science in psychology
this is a course what my university offers, idk about others
these are 2 courses actually
and bsc psych is more of the science side, it has a lot of courses of psychology, biology, chemistry, physics
bachelor of arts in psych is more of the behavioural side, and has courses like bio, philosophy, socio
so
a levels are equivalent to AP classes?
what are regular classes then
do I have to take IB course as well
ap is like extra classes you take ig you dont need to take them
a levels is like the actual course you do for after IG with regular classes
same for IB
ap is just an add on
unless you go to an american school where you take regular subjects and some ap classes
A level and AP is equivalents
oh so for cambridge
ur doing the advanced program by default?
wdym by that
ap
like
after you finish ib your gonna either choose between a levels or ib and that'll be your regular ending course for highschool
now ontop of that if your willing to go an extra mile to better your application for uni and stuff
is it like ib or AS level?
you can take AP subjects and give the exams and that'll be your add on
yeah thats what i wanna do
IB is the whole course equivalent to AS and A2
oh alr
gotchu
mm
says university has no preferance
yeah lol
if you feel like you can deal with it and just want to then you can have add ons yk
like sats
ap's
etc etc
so u usually take AP classes during ur a level course right?
im taking 6 a level subjects
I guess so and its more suitable to since your better equipped to give the exam
yeah im going to do sat
when do u recommend doing sat
g11 summer?
after ig like i think @flint meteor is doing so right?
i mean AS level summer
do it after ig ends give one attempt if it doesnt go so well you'll have time to do it again and be familiar with what the sat is like too
yeah ofc you can re-attempt
also will it show that u took retake of sat in ur application
most people do the sats once then do another attempt for higher score
hmm idk some say its like 8th grade math and its hella easy other find it hard like it really depends how good you are in math
i recommend buying one of the sat preparation textbooks it helps though
r u going to do sat?
some people find the english portion hrder than math too
i was going to i kinda prepared for it too but im not sure right now im keeping my focus on IGs i guess
but if I do it'll be at the end of this year prob
oh aight
yeah
People I need help, I dont know where to start, I just finished my A levels today and I would love to study medicine in canada, but anywhere would do fine honestly, how do I start applying? I am lost honestly
I thinkk and not that I know much about this but you should start off by researching basic requirements required by canadian unis for example for medicine what they want from you as an a levels student and also look for unis that'll be of suitable prices and accomodation etc for you
see if you can add on any extracurriculars too to your application and just start applying right after you do your research
Have you talked about this with your school
I'm in a tough spot and need some help deciding whether or not I should take Further Maths in A levels. I really want to take it, but no good teachers are in my school or nearby. Plus, last year, my country's highest grade for Further Maths was only 91%, which is good(I mean congrats to that lad who got 91%) but doesn't it seem meagre? I'm worried about this because I need to get an A star. If I don't take Further Maths, how can I show universities that I know more than just regular A level Maths? Would doing well in the National Mathematics Olympiad help me?
depends
Are you able to find really good tutors maybe?
If you know you're able to tolerate further maths as you have more knowledge than normal a level maths
If you find a good tutor you'll be able to take it and be successful in it aswell
The one I did tutoring to for o levels, he used to teach but the students didn't do really great, so, he stopped teaching it 😢
What did you think of him personally? Have you tried looking for another tutor through friends, family, etc
A good tutor can make a huge difference
look, some unis in canada doesnt have the option where u can send ur ECA, so u might not be able to showcase any of ur ECA skills.
however if you are aiming for USA, they look more into ECA. so u have a better chance with that.
what type of ECAs will help?
Are you telling plogha that? 😭
no
im talking to satwato
there is one but he's minimum 2 hrs from my home, plus, I reside in a very densely populated city and intense traffic congestions are quite the norm here
i thought u said national maths olympiad 💀
Ooh alright
What about online classes?
Through zoom?
let's be real
who can focus well in online classes?
yea I did but I am also looking forward for ECAs
idk much abt medical so 😭
ok so anything that shows ur leadership skills
If you're dedicated for it you can
anywhere u volunteered
you can i agree but its really hard
I take physics out of school and I have a really amazing tutor he really helps me stay focused and learn everything
Im motivated to actually study physics and give it time because of him and I'd feel guilty for wasting my parents money by not focusing ykwim
ECA is better when its diverse.
i personally prefer home tutoring over online since its direct communication and its really easier for me to focus
Its really just all on you
you can show your multi-talented
yeah i get u
is journalism a good ECA?
Its okay 😭
yeah it is!
I mean school's newspaper
So kindof you to help though thank you @stable geyser
Gave +1 rep to thatgirlduh#7243
Yes really depends person to person, some people thrived with online school during ecas and others flopped
i have like done every research myself. for my own major. so im just happy to share my research which is useless to me now
😭
I wanted to look for research interships but guess what, haha, bangladesh doesn't have high school research programs and online research programs are just too expensive
🔪 🔪
oof
Thats so adorable genuinely, you give amazing advice Im surprised by how much research youve done in depth
you are very helpful
u should consider studying out of bangladesh then
UR FROM BD
IM FROMBD
ur my new bestie
damm
dam
😭
2 year gap
💀
i have a very good talking capability
i shared a train ride of 8 hrs with a grade 5 student
damm
grade 5 is as far as i wanna go
did you put that as an ECA as well
😭
grade 6s and above are cringe
stops at the grade 9s
like they really are sth else fr
anyone my age and older
im cool
I WISH, I WENT AND DID SO MUCH ACTIVITIES. THEN TURNS OUT CANADA DIDNT EVEN ASK ME FOR ANY ECA
IT WAS SO USELESS
did you give ICT or cs?
both
thank you 🥰

im egyptian bro
so?
mandatory?
anyway which school are you from
yeah
sounds fancy
nah not that fancy school
i see
sorry id rather not tell that in a server 😭
if u want to know, u can dm me. but anyway i suppose its not important
by leadership skills, u can try being any clubs president
or just part of executive board member
oh thanks
you could do MUN, getting an award like outstanding delegate or best delegate would also be good if you can. or participation works too
as far as i remember, ur school hosts mun too. so you could try being in the secretariat board as well
yes I am becoming the EB of the MUN club
yes ik
MaaShaAllah
scholastica?
schomun?
yes
i was there
great
yeppp
yoo can someone help me find resources for A2 psychology
u needa look at the a2 psych channel for that 😭
i can j view the notes
i know this is late but i generally feel like MUN is really common
i reckon go for something like public debatings or try an initiative in your school
Most ivy league Uni's care about extra curricular, they wanna see who you are.
They want to see signs of leadership and something unique compared to others
whatever is in that brain of yours i always say give it a shot!
mhm ofc those are possible, MUN is a kind of debate as well. and it is internationally recognised hence i have suggested this.
Uhhhh they arent in many places dude
in my place theres like 1 every 2 weeks
and then theres THIMUN
One here happens every year
And they started last year
Waiting for one this year
damn
ive done like 12 MUN's and got 5 best delegates
im SG next year for one of it
and PGA for another one
its so normal here
Did the very first and yeah got best delegate
I see
considering politics tbf
How much do I make working at retirement homes?
i got 5 bd;s in 10 muns
no wait 6 i think let me che1
cheq
You mean Thai MUN?
yo do you guys know about uni entry requirements. Im looking at courses for uni just out of curiosity and for GCE A and AS Level they give this number 14.5 or some shit like that, what does that mean. They give each grade a number like A* = 6, A = 5, and so on. So do i have to get to a total of 14.5 at least to be eligible for a certain course??
at the very least a 60% marks required in ur AS A2
that's all you need to know for minimum entrance requirements
but if you go to higher ranked unis, the minimum entrance will be higher. like 70% or even 80%
so my average after doing A2, should be above 60%?
you should be applying to unis with ur AS grades after ur AS exams
💀 thats not good
if you do, then ur minimum 60% is required in AS
i think i can get pretty good in computer science and physics will be pretty mid but i did terrible in maths
snd then it depends on your uni, say you didn't really meet their requirements or you're just below it. then they might give you conditional offer. where they grant you admission on the basis that you fulfil their condition
and their condition could be any grade they want you to achieve during your A2
hmm i see
in that case, you might get conditional admission
unconditional means, they won't want to see your A2 grades
so u can fuck up
is that common
doesnt sound like it
depends on the uni really
and ur grades ofc
if it's a lower ranked uni, they take any students. that means they give out more unconditional offers than conditional
higher ranked unis give out more conditional offers
or direct rejections 💀
so are you saying this doesnt matter, im looking a a website for a course i want to take for a university in australia and it says this.
lmao
u might want to email them
Abt their uni requirements for that certain course
okay thanks for the help
Gave +1 rep to thatgirlduh#7243
i need a help
i dont know what to choose
its between computer science and medicine field
take a career test
what are they?
im not sure what to become a doctor or a teacher so ummmmmm
yea
probably gonna go doctor if i dont make up my mind but umm any advice would help ig
so remember that CS has a lot of competition, so you need an excellent profile for the unis
idk much abt medical
medical is all about academics, youd need to be among the top to get in a med school
hello
wait, we can apply with AS marks???
I have had my fair share of these
and unconditional offers too
Hate them so much
I still gotta work hard
lmao
same
anyone here studying Business in uni?
Would like to get a feel about it since it's something i love and if i'm going to university, that is what i would like to study
either business or Real estate or something along the lines of these 2
Hello
hello
heyloo
How do I apply to saudi public colleges while being not saudi
Yo does anyone know some good program i can make in my free time to show unis for my uni applications soon
like what will impress them?
What major you going for?

nice job clown
Atleast I am trying to be funny on purpose, you were practically born as a joke
Hello does anyone know how to increase uni credit fastest way in a 3rd world country as mine since there arent many opportunities to do proper volunteer work or a internship
if i dont take maths in a levels will i face problems applying for uni?
Depends on what degree you are gonna do
Probably finance/bba or marketing
finance you defo need math 100000% but marketing, although you dont need it per se, our cambridge officer told us she had students coming to her and telling them how useful even as math wouldve been bcuz college
I need help choosing a mahor/ career path
Like l don't even know what to do at all
I have to passion
I honestly don't know what career I can go into with psychology and theatre arts except teaching, having a therapist kind of business or acting (those are basically the only things I like)
Set up fake charity and get some photos of giving money to the poor and make a website about it
No honestly, i am applying to universities and have been accepted to many and I don’t have any maths in a levels
Here are some details for your guidance. Tho i applied for bba but i chose finance as my major
But honestly, you should check every university requirement separately so that you know everything
Hello can someone please give me some guidance, feeling very depressed and lost right now
So I've been stuck giving my A levels for nearly 5 years now, almost failed, gap year, postponed, changed subject, almost failed, retake, finally forced myself to move to A2 and now here I am
I've got 2 As and 7Bs in O levels and 1 D in A level math and 2 D's in AS CS and business
I'm in Pakistan right now btw
Literally wasted 5 years of my life and I have no idea what to do or which uni to go to if any will even accept me..
have you checked check admission criteria of unis like iqra and szabist?
Yeah actually those are the only two I've looked at so far because they aren't too far from where I live, I just barely fit the admission criteria..
Idk what I should do
maybe try to give an easy subject for a level? like urdu. I wish you the best of luck man hope things get easy for you
instead of giving a levels repeatedly you shouldve gone for foundation course, which im sure you still can do. whichever university you choose, you can do a foundation course under that uni and you'd need to get some required gpa and boom guaranteed admission to university
you may face limitations in uni, cuz a lot of unis do require maths. but if its not absolutely mandatory in ur uni, they would ask you to do a course in math first alongside ur major.
for example, i dont maths in a lvls. i chose ba psych. which didnt require any subjects. but since i didnt maths in alvls specifically, they are telling me to do a course on math in their uni first.
Everyone keeps suggesting this to me, I'm going to apply to some nearby unis first and if that doesn't work out I guess I'll reconsider an IFP like TMUC
idk what ifp or tmuc is 😭 . but yeah see if you can get in any uni without the foundation course first.
IFP is international foundation program, tmuc is a college in Pak which offers foundation courses
ohhh
okay so I'm in India rn, writing as boards, and my parents want me to do medicine and stay in India so now I'm having to prepare for neet too and it's a mess rn cuz idk anything and I also just dont want to do medicine 😭👍 honestly, I'm interested more in the forensics side and from what I've heard, there isnt much scope for that in india(and ig I'll have to stay in India for the next couple years) so idk what to do. I have literally no motivation rn either cuz it's not like im working towards anything that I want to do.
for pakistani people: since a lot of people are looking for opportunities, especially summer ones, visit (& follow) @theuraaninitiative on Instagram for opportunites & more which will be posted soon insha Allah!

Wait! Can you let me know your fields of interests first?
Computers I guess, I'm good at math too
Have any interests in the field of accounting?
Not really, my subjects for A level are Math, business and CS
I took all sciences and add maths in o level
Switched subjects quite a few times in a level
Going for bba?
But acca also seems like a good option
What u can do is do bba from nust or like bahria uni and the go for mba from lums.
I honestly havent decided yet but I wanted to do a course in cyber security later
Ill never get into lums bruh
My total grades probably come out to like 50-60% equivalency rn
Fast university or comsats?
Why? Its a really good uni tho
I know it is im saying ill never get in with my grades
I'm thinking of applying to szabist and iqra
if that doesnt work out, maybe ill go with foundation
Mushkil hai, requirements man...
See, if u go for CA or ACCA, that is a very decent option
That is why i asked for accounting
What can I do with 2 As and 7 Bs in O level and 3 Ds in A level
So much, so much that you can not even think of
Even if u do acca, it will be extremely beneficial for you
And, what is the problem? Either the understanding for subjects or interests or that you don’t like studying? And your grades are not bad. They are pretty good
No I dont have a problem understanding, I've got a severe procrastination problem, like legit 5 years I spent studying the last day before the exam and getting Es and I brought them up to a D now...
its complicated but I know I'm my biggest problem
Khair I just wanna move on now
A level is a thorn in my foot, literally been eating me alive and I've gone through hell the last 5 years
I have been in the same situation and i can understand you better
Had a gap year and switched between subjects
I was in cedar college, got all Es, started out very good was at the top of all my classes the first month then began declining
withdrew, took gap year, corona came, got postponed, gave retakes, split subjects between sessions, switchd from chem and phys to easier subjects but still
See, CA only requires 40-50% for entry. You can enter with these much marks or percentage. Plus, they will teach you from scratch ig. So if u dig deep into this profession, its rewarding and promising. Also, you don’t need any accounting background for it. Students join from various fields yet master it! But if u want to go to cs or cyber security, i would highly suggest you to go for nust entrance test (NET) which is going to be after 21 june in isb.
That test counts like 70% in ur admission process
Bahria university and fast university are also good options for cs and cyber security
I see, wait ill have to go to isb for that though right, im in karachi
Tests for isb are scheduled to be 21 June onwards and for quetta karachi it will be in July
And for that, you have to contact their admission department and they will guide you
Also don’t miss this test. It is their last test series for this year
Prepare for it thoroughly and you will ace it
I honestly don’t know much about fast. You can check it out on their website
Admission requirements and stuff like this
ok, what do you think I should do, try apply to all these places, szabist, iqra, nust and fast and wait for their responses
cus tomorrows my last exam after which ill be free for a couple months
so i can get started
Ohg definitely
Apply to each one of them
This will keep your options open to choose from
Okay well thank you very much man, means a lot to me, I'm literally a noob when it comes to these things gonna have to do a fair bit of research
No worries brother. Feel free to reach me out anytime you need help in this regard! 🙂
What's the best university for average student in pk?
most of my friends from private school got into lums, habib, iba or iobm, I guess iobm is the most average, most friends went there
oh also lyceum
Man getting into Fast is petty easy but then surviving is hard
Fast kay liyay merit chahyay
@maiden pivot but then man what do u exactly wanna do? cuz ur interested in Cyber Security and wanna do CA at the same time. Which sounds quite impossible. CA is not easy but starting few ppr u can deal with it, compared to ACCA seriously u dont need specific requirements, literally anyone can apply but after coping with foundation ppr its v hard. and here this worse disadvantage about ACCA is that u study so much and the result u will get after 3 to 4 yrs after working which consumes a lot. (technically become ACCA member).
im really bad with Urdu XD
Do you need a merit for fast 😭
ohhh yes unis like Fast and tops required merit ofc
yes i got that😅
Where are you currently studying
Middle east
im not in uni yet
Alevels done
doing 😭
A2
waynnnnnnn
i still got 5 exams left
No no it's an either or situation, it's just a secondary option, I wanna do something CS related mainly
What exactly counts as merit
Whatever it is I don't think I have it xd
Maybe up till like o levels
But after that definitely not
Matlab 3As for admission in alevels
oh phir to out of the question hogaya
Precisely
Look idek know if my grades qualify for average, probably below, I'm from a middle class family from karachi with no one for support and i wanna just move on
Alevels karrahay ho
4 saal baad mai ne kaha fuck it, D le kar AS se aagay barho
ab A2 kal khatam hojae ka
iss karnaamay ka anjaam november mein
sorry august
Kal konsa paper hay

Bhai last year mera bhi yehi haal tha qasam say
Teacher nay programming ki basics bhi nahi parhai thi
Allah allah karkay paas howa tha
Exactly aese hi hota hai, mai 4 mahine tution gaya, uss mein se sirf 2,3 classes p4 par thay or sirf code copy karne ko kaha baaqi sab Allah Allah
jinx
lol
Cs teachers humare sab kaafi shit hain bohut few exceptions ke ilawa
Ohhh I thought u wanna do 2 major at once
Yar bro honestly at this point if you can develop the discipline for it, its a hundred times better if you just learn it yourself from youtube and other resource materials available online, mere aas pass to koi ache teachers nahi
nah man
and go with python only, theres a shit ton of resources for that
Would you recommend some of them
there is zafar ali khan who is the only good teacher ive heard of wo gulshan mein parhate hain
but all of his lectures and notes are available online
Aik papersdock ka bhi suna tha
Join the As and A2 computer science channels on z notes only, youll find all the resources youll ever need
On youtube theres even a guy who has a video teaching you all of python in 3 hours
Damn tum yaha bhee
Anyone have any advice for CLAT law exam
Bro ( stop shitting random things in this chat ) plz talk about something like ả business or even how to maintain it
yes kids today mrs. waseem will show us how to start a business and even how to maintain it
ILETS: UK
SAT: USA
Gave +1 rep to Angell#2019
The SAT is only for the US
If you're applying there
Lol
Then if you're applying to the UK and stuff its best to give ILETS
And well you already will have your igcse and a levels/ib scores too
Wdym
You'll probably be good to go depending on what uni you apply to, their requirements and how good your application is
People usually give those extra tests to better their application
But Im not completely sure of the UK they may require you to give ielts if you're good at english it wont be hard for you to do
Focus on a levels for now though
Pick subjects based off what you want to pursue
And if thats something you have no clue on, keep options within your subjects to be able to pursue diff careers
And pick what you're good at
Like in IGCSE whatever you score good on and had a good time learning
Because you'll only be adding on info to what you've learnt
Gave +1 rep to Angell#2019
Noo keep your focus on getting good scores in IG obviously if youre giving it now then keep all your focus on getting good grades in A levels and stuff too
Because it requires alot of effort and time dont think about the future beforehand because you dont know how things will end up yk
And one grade can change things
Just sortof have an idea of what you wanna pursue
And go off that
sats are optional girl
and only needed for usa
if u dont go there, then no need to bother
but ielts is a must
for us
i mean me and u, our country
Not necessarily even ielts
Sometimes
If you went to english medium school
It’s fine
we come from non english country
and i am from english medium school
Uk ones especially
they ask for ielts for 1. english proficiency test
if, i dont take english in a levels then only
and even if i did take english,
i would need ielts for visa
Middle East
For Canada?
nah bruv
Interesting lol
not if u dont go to usa
If you wanna go USA it’s a good idea
its all grade 8 english mew
pi, mentors ur wish
oh
i did from pi
oh u r so wrong
everyone has to do ielts
in here
anyone studying quantity surveyor ?
Gave +1 rep to thatgirlduh#7243
tbh some unis exempt u from the need to do ielts if you can prove that your main method of communication was in English
however they all went to USA :/
bc usa doesnt need ielts
so for other countries maybe ielts are needed
no they didn't even give SATs, they went with their IB scores
oh ib
ye rich folks
IB students has english
bruv
my friend also gave IB
and like i said
if u have english in A levels
in IB diploma year as well?
u dont need ielts
u mean ib HL SL?
Btw the SAT wasnt a requirement by the us because of covid for like
The previous years
But starting next year it'll be a requirement again
Or this year I forgot
next year
Yeah
yeah ibdp
thats where my friend is from
she has math
english
mandatory
nice
ye
Yup
anyways did you apply to waterloo?
or do you know anything about waterloo?
admission process for engineering department?
my friend applied
she had
AAB in AS
got rejected
lmao
another board of exam
like cie
its completely different
yes, I recently checked their website and people in their engineering department has average score of more than 94%
extremely competetive
I did
It’s all same i think, you apply through ouac then get access to their portal
There you write
And put reference etc etc
oh thanks
tuition fee is not expensive comparatively . and its not located in vancouver, its in a different island so living cost way lesss
well best of luck
thanks
Gave +1 rep to 𝚂𝙰𝚃𝚆𝙰𝚃𝙾#7548
thanks and can u also tell me whether applying with 3 A-level subjects is worth it or not? MATHS, PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY
Gave +1 rep to (Standard Deviation) Male#2029
Im ngl
I did get in
But
I have no idea how they do it or wtv
I just applied and got in
what were your grades?
A*s and 1 A
waterloo
And for my country’s national curriculum
I got As in everything
Highest one
I got like 4 or something idk
how many subjects did u take
ohk thnx
But
I would recommend you take 4
If possible
CS or further maths
Further maths
but the problem is no teacher is teaching it in my area 🙃
yeah mate and thanks a lot
But further math if possible
Definitely better
And
Also I recommend you try doing
Their math competitions
Waterloo’s
Euclid
And also the cs ones if you’re interested in that
Yeah if you wanna get a scholarship
You need it lol
I am noob in Competetive programming
Practice
yes sure after June 8th 🙂 and thanks a lot
Gave +1 rep to (Standard Deviation) Male#2029
sadly yes but the worst thing is that my affection for biology ended after I paid my registration fees
in MMU, 80% of the students dropped accounting
only 10 students gave acc exam
haha, campus holders, burn through hell 😉
we had an influencer as our admin but sadly she left 😭
no lies
the whole batch went nuts
naina
don't care, naina is milfier than runama
something related to maths and physics and cs
yes 😤
i have 8 subjects
I studied till 6 am in the morning, only 3 hrs of sleep before CS p1 exam
yes ofc, smashed the paper
p2's last question was a bit challenging and lengthy, it was a 15 mark question and the day before my grandpa sadly passed away, so u know it was a bit tough for me but still I think I will get above 65 in p2 and in overall aiming for around 94% in CS
anyways best of luck for add maths p2 🙂 practice relative velocity and the topics that didn't come 🙂
thanks
Gave +1 rep to mewshew_#5967
why? are u a victim of maths anxiety?
try to read and comprehend questions and mark important infos in the question, then think about the possible solutions using all of those infos
thanks bro 🙂
Gave +1 rep to mewshew_#5967
moreover, don't just blindly do past papers, first learn theory and then do some problems from book and then finally do past papers
Tbh I guess I hardly did any past paper before add math p1 exam
also I am lazy so, i don't do that much past papers
rather do redspot topical ones and practice indian variant papers
indian variant problems are sexy, they literally force you to think
A levels pure maths p3
idk, no one is tensed about mm clubs, also I might leave MMU and join another school
imagine me going to our arch rivals, Scholastica :))))))))))
yes its sublime but aga khan's campus is even superior
aga khan literally copied the entire US embassy and made it look 10 times better
oh sorry, i don't use tiktok
i don't like chinese apps
personal problem
Beijing pollution nearly destroyed my hair and the airport idk why smelled like animal waste
back in 2019
i had to brainwash my teachers to allow me to use another scanning app other than camscanner
its career advice tho??
Apologies from that person you're all good lmao
Yesss dont plan ahead in advance you dont know what can happen, you can decide you wanna be a doctor now then change your mind to a psychologist lets say and take subjects in A levels according to that and your A levels results can vary which can also cause changes, planning so far ahead can stress you out and take your focus away from whats going on right now
I have friends in A2 who still have no clue what they wanna do they're just applying to random unis and random courses and going with the best option though theyy have amazing grades and everything 😭
Some people genuinely have no clue and thats fineeeee its hard to decide stufffff
It'lll all go well dont worryyyyy but I wish you the best of luck
Gave +1 rep to Angell#2019
ikr
that's so nice of you thank you
Gave +1 rep to Angell#2019
Oh shush, you're very welcome, I would've answered your question if I knew about it but I dont so Im sorry 😭😭
Yep that's me and I still don't know what to do, completed alevels and now I'm completely blanked
Omg thats perfectly fine thank you for being so kind:)
Gave +1 rep to Angell#2019
Hehe dont worry you're not alone 😭
should i take s2 or m1 in A2
S2
M1 is very easy
However if you're good at s1 than go for s2
s2 is taken more of by those who are interested in Business/commerce or studying Data science while M1 is taken by those who want to pursue a career in engineering
What about the one persuading genetics? Which one, S2 or M1 is more helpful?
i guess s2 cuz M1 is more liike physics and bio has some stats stuff
My subject combination are, bio, physics, chem maths and egp
So will S2 work?
it depends on your future courses
and physics may help u understand m1 better
so it would be easier for you
but its your cal
It’s a dilemma honestly! Cause both are equally important in their own uses
yes they are
But thank you for briefing
M1 isn't gonna help with fuckall
If you're decent at physics then you should be able to apply it to equations of motion which is basically what M1 is
S2 will at least be useful
That said, M1 is easier I'm pretty sure (I didn't do S2 though)
S2 is way easier than s1 imo
Anyone got any motivational story?
OMG, i thought i was the only one who think about this.
That's facts bro
S1 has too much
S2 is like 2-3 topics
For people who applied to medical universities this period, how is it going?
for fall 23 right?
yea
Anyone doing a computer science degree in new zealand?
S2 is harder than M1
But M1 is pointless
Especially if you're already doing physics
90%of alevel math is pointless but we still study though 🫠
Honestly
I did S2
And it was the easiest thing i ever done
could you pls elaborate on that? i wanna do physics (+bio & chem) and i hate maths!! but alot of ppl keep telling me that maths is essential, that mechanics goes rly well with physics and so on...
If you're going into medicals maths isn't necessary
yep i get that, but i'm pretty sure taking on maths as a fourth subject will mess up my grades
yeah i'm not sure yet but i might decide to do medicine, depends
Here's a tip that might help
As maths is easy it's a followup of olevels
However a2 maths is very difficult
u can get very good grades in maths
i wouldnt say A2 is VERY difficult
its obv tougher than AS
but not by long
Depends,
Like this year's exam was very difficult
A2 is just advanced AS
jan 2023?
oh i see..i struggled a lot with igcse maths tho so 😂
Mj23
You're talking about Cie?
thats weird
ohhok
nah i do edexcel but its almost the same
oh i see
Yeah I was talking about Cie
It's energy draining
Then just go with PHY chem bio
i did caie for my igs and full a levels CS
only maths and physics were edxcel
for some reason lol
what was worth it?
doing maths?
👌 thank you
Gave +1 rep to Hbm#8994
No issues
All the best in alevels
Math has applications basically everywhere
:))
particularly if you are doing any kind of research
BA of cs or BCS in cs
whats the difference
is there a career opportunity cost or what
for differences you can see the modules and requirements for each
career opportunity is same
wait wats that?
I only know abt BSCS
Bachelor of arts in computer science
Ahh Ok Ok
I love that field but unfortunately I won't enroll in that
this is unrelated but anyone here who gave GED (General Educational Development)?
Astrophysics 👀 close ig
OMGGGGG🤝🏻
also on a sidenote, if youre doing any sort of physics then do some further math when you have time
i cant tell what subs you do because you have every role under the sun
Yeah i take
Physics biology chemistry maths and cs
Oh alright
Hi just quick question. If the school that I am going to, does not offer subjects like business studies or accounting, but if I would like to pursue a degree in finance, which would be a better option, taking chemistry or ICT in A levels?
whichever one you'd do better in
Oooo
Pure physics?
ict
why chemistry??\
doesnt make sense with finance and also, chem in A levels is really hard
Wdym pure Physics?
like solely physics
research in physics
or do you mean it like anything that involves an element of physics in it, for example Electrical Engineering
Doesn't matter, being good at maths is always helpful
okay nice then
is studying in georgia a bad idea
I heard many bad stuff online
Especially for medicine
but isn't IT in a levels harder
based on results statistics from cambridge
ive gennerally heard its more tedious compared to ICT in igcse
like June 2019 results statistics, only 2% of students got A in IT
holy shit, no A*s?
0.3%
yeah i think its ICT in igcse not IT
