Hey guys
In your opinion what's the best science related fields with the best income and lifestyle
Chemical engineering is the best income
But I don’t like chem so 😂
Wdym by lifestyle?
Computer engineering is hardware related
It pays well but not as great as chemical engineering
Electricial engineering is better than computer one but that’s personal preference ig
Ohh I see
Like a surgeon would-be have the most ideal lifestyle and freedom available as they would get like emergency calls randomly at anytime in their day to rush to the hospital
So their lifestyle wouldn't the most ideal you get me
I get u thx
Gave +1 rep to KINGSLAYER-1#7588
Do i have to study a major before getting into the Law program in uni if im an international student?
Yes but the most stressful job is also for the surgeon as well
So it is like a balance of less but really stressful work
Sorry I have zero idea about law
I know about commerce engineering and computer fields
True true
Hey guys
Anyone has idea regarding University in Canada for masters in public health ?
Can I get an overview on what is bio tech
If anyone knows pls dm me
I am trying to apply for a part time job for the holidays. What are the main needs that retail suppliers look for?
Depends where u are from
Hi does anyone have advice to have work experience for being a GP?
What's a GP?
You mean as in the topic or the subject?
subject
At face value, I would say it has biology and physics integrated into it.
But obviously, it's way more than that
So I'd say that it's a subject based on analysis of organisms on a cellular level in order to find and develop solutions for human and the earth's improvement?
It's basically another branch of sciences in general
A GP is a general practitioner ( a doctor)
Ohhh okay cool
what do they mean by minor in a UNI website?
im really confused on what to enter in college, Medical or dental school, can someone tell me what to really choose? (outside US)
Medical school is a MUCH longer investment
With dentistry you probably wanna have nimble fingers since you'll be dealing with delicate things in hard to reach places
With medicine you can get to do things like ortho where it's more strength
ortho?
Orthopaedics
Think about it this way
Do you wanna have a chance at doing things like neurosurgery, gynaecology, dermatology, ophthalmology
Or solely work with dentistry and you can do orthodontics, root canals, prosthodontics etc
And after you do a BDS you can also study more to be able to do oral surgery
So you can be a surgeon
thats the thing, i was thinking of cardiology but im seeing that dentists have advantages where if they open there own dental place they can work whenever they want and they can get high salaries and all that with less pain, i really dont care too much about the salary but its the quality of life, they can have a life. where in med i dont really know if they have a life or not
Med doesn't really leave you with a life sadly
Not for the first 5-7 years
after med school
Well the thing about opening your own practice is that it's also a fuckton of work because hey now you have on your hands a business with salaries, expenses, equipment etc
It's a HUGE investment
My mum had her own private practice with microscope dentistry and while she was incredibly good at it, I also know they weren't making much after all the bills etc
i see
But definitely fixed hours
Altho if you work at private hospitals you can forget about that I think
In Saudi the private hospital dentists had the craziest long ass shifts
really??
damn i didnt know that lol
Long shifts but still sitting in a chair in your office and usually not life threatening so that's that
It's not 9-5 but it's fixed hours
Then again Saudi isn't known for... The best humanitarian practices shall we say
And then the next day probably

My friend in third year med had some 12h shifts
Or fourth year idk
wow i thought these where after uni
But basically the first time you get clinical exposure
like residency what the US calls it
You get exposure during the degree as well, otherwise they can't really give you the degree
Since that'd make you eligible to practice
Which you won't be
ah i see
This is combined with classes
That's full on hospital
and exams?
Probably
sad
Do you think I should study computer science or software engineering at this point of time? I am aware that a lot of people nowadays are taking these two courses. Will the supply of workers exceed the demand?
after as level, is there any ways to go aboard like Germany (business student)
There are no helper roles set for this channel! | Please ask a moderator to set one!
Unfortunately very few unis allow after as level
The method you can use to check if a Uni allows is to check for foundation year
Btw do let me know if any uni allows
yo people,
i wanna know if i'm goin to enter comp science facility in uni what are the requirements (igcse) for egyptian uni and for american or british uni (cambridge, oxford, harvard etc....)
and thanks a bunch
so that means even diploma isnt available in Germany ?
IGs are barely looked at in the UK
Hey can anyone help i want to do something in computer science but idk what to do
My subjects for AS levels are economics, computer-science, maths, physics and english general paper
And my scores in 10 th grade were
See a foundation year is basically a A2 from the alevels
sure just keep taking maths
for cs
you just need to be good in maths
that's all
nothing else needed
sometimes is specific niches you might need physics
but thats only in electrical part
Oh thanks
Apparently it’s AS stuff here 🤔 mostly
what do yall think about bioinformatics?
Yoo guys
I wanted to ask that i am doing IGCSE rn and have to choose between as and al or ib for further studies.. i want to go to North America or Canada for uni so what should I prefer??
Oh alright thanks
I heard that IB is wayy difficult and tiring that's the reason am confused
While on the other hand I read that IB is preferred more in NA and Canada as Cambridge is a curriculum of uk
True
Ib is harder for no reason
And it isn’t as detailed and more focused as compared to a levels
So go with a levels
What kind of career can I do if go with bio chem and English?
For a levels
Is not going with math, going to be a problem?
Hi, is economics vital if you take business as a major?
Wdym less focused
Alrightt thankss
same here... i have biology, chemistry and english on AS level....😕
Like ib is more of a more expansive course what that means is that you need to focus on things that are not really academic related for some time
For example in IB you need to do community services in the course
Or physical activities
I forgot which exact course had that but it was a requirement and you couldn’t avoid it
While a levels cares non about that and instead it focuses entirely on the academics
That is what I mean by more focus
CAS is extra curricular stuff afaik
Idk how u can complain about that
Two birds one stone
Finish IB and get ECAs
If ur aiming for top places theres merit there
In short:
Ib has a lot of extracurricular stuff which is included as part of the syllabus while in a levels you could just instead focus on studies
ECA??
true as well, my friends who did it absoultely hate it at the moment.
No I’m not saying it is bad
IB curriculum goes beyond the scope of A levels
Not really
The syllabuses are almost exactly the same
Ya sure that applies to maths lol
The only difference is that extracurriculars and the dreadful Essays that IB students have to write
Except for that you might as well just choose any
Youre gonna be writing essays in uni anyways
In KSA there are no IB schools as far as I’m aware and even if they are I’m pretty sure most people would just pick the air levels for the convenience it offers coz over here we don’t have a focus towards extra curriculars for some reason
Where did KSA come from
Yeah but if you start writing essays from where earlier that is just extra work which yea as you said can help
No just saying that in the place I live extracurriculars don’t matter coz they are almost non existent 😂
It jus kinda depends on the type of student u are
If ur lazy as fuck a levels is p fun
Also depends on the local culture from where you are brought up
Bruh
Being lazy isnt a bad trait from my pov
See that guy just wanted to ask what are the difference between the two syllabuses
Well I just tried to explain that
I thought the explanation didnt give the whole story ;((
So
Tldr - ib is similar to a levels in syllabus. The only difference comes down to the long essays you need to write for each subject in ib and the extra curriculars which are mandatory in ib and not dependent on the school like in a-levels (in a levels a school could basically not even have extracurriculars and it wouldn’t matter while in ib it contributes towards grades)
Rest is same so there it is
Also In a levels you can take less subjects as most top end universities require only 3 a level subs
Don’t know How about the requirements for ib so I won’t comment
What r u planning with these 3?
Idk fr coz do I have career options open if I choose bio chem eng
Coz math igcse wasn’t the best thing for me
at this moment ive got none... i just took them cuase im goo at them i guess...
what do you have in mind
if you want you could do medicine
cause bio and chem are one of the primary subjects for medicine🤔
Same I’m fr clueless
Oh math isn’t compulsory
Like fr if I take 2 sciences, it’s great to have a break between these hectic ones and have English yk
yep but not all med schools require math... there ar some though which require maths... it all depends to which uni your applying to as well
most of them do require maths, but if you have a good gcse math gradde them you should be good
Idk my igcse math results yet but i don’t think it’s good tbh
I’m contemplating if I should go with bio chem English
Or something with computer science
Yea
oh well you'll still do great!
even if u don't do math, a good ucat/bmat score is good enough as well
it may help if you do a course on math or smth?
future learn is a great free one
Thxx
Gave +1 rep to yokiko#1477
I’ll try to check it out, I’m just confused coz maybe cs wil be more useful in the future and etc
So Idk if i should go with sciences like bio or CS
i mean ai will not be replacing docs anytime soon cause i was speaking to a surgeon and he was saying its not fully developed etc and i would rather have a person doing it than a robot
cs will imo be useful in the future tho
honestly, just take subjects that you like! no point doing a subject that u hate yk?
even if they don't really link to a uni course, if you have a lot of extra stuff on the side then unis will still be inclined to take u up
Trueee Idk I’m so indecisive 😭, like I find robotics and stuff interesting and fun, but I also feel like bio +chem is nice 🎭
What r u going to take
then do bio chem and cs!! legit just do what you think makes u happy
im doing bio chem math and epq 😭
Yahh tru but idk if bio chem CS is a good combo aha
Oh bio chem math and epqqqq
R u surviving
no i am barely alive 🙂
but its good, i enjoy the subs
and my epq is a lot of fun
and i really wanna do med so makes me more motivated and stuff
It must be so hard omg, how’s bio chem, bcoz i only did igcse , and Imma do AS so idk how diff bio and chem r
From the igcse ones
Is there a lot of memorization 🥲
Niceee
they don't tell u how big the jump between gcse and alevels, its absolutely massive. like forget everything you learnt in igcse chem cause its all wrong 💀
LOADS OMG
but its okay
:)
yea tbh
Omggg yahhh
Aw man☠️😭 yah hopefully it’ll be alright, how’s physics if anyone heard about it and etc
Idk how I did physics in igcse it was like a gamble
ive heard physics is not too bad compared to math, but like all the sciences it is still hard
its ummmm interesting
Fr physics was like a whole imagination subject, some stuff r so hard to wrap around ur mind idk
some hard stuff but solve pp and ur mostly good
Ooo i see, so it’s like math ?
yea
no math killed me
Math kills me idk , even in igcse it killed me, so idk ALEVEL math sounds torture
it is torture, especially if you arent the best at it but its fun whe yk what you are doing
I used to be alright in math then idk what happened
SAME
Is it way diff than the igcse
im chilling there with an 8 in gcse math and now im barely scrapping a b
i went to the exam knowing and got out shaking
i fr forgot everything once i saw the paper
Omg pls ☠️🎭 I’m not even tht good in math, and considering ALEVEL math sounds very scary
Like my friend dropped it
Hah
yk you could consdier doing an epq? if you base it on the course you wanna study at uni
its not the best but it counts for half an alevel
Wait I heard about epq but what it is really
and its easy to get an A*
if u gonna take math take edexcel
you do a prokect of your choisng, everything you do is really up too you
cie sucks
i can show you mine if you are consdiering it to get an idea
Ah Im doing all CIE, i can’t do edexcel 🥲
thats true
Yeee thxxx
Gave +1 rep to yokiko#1477
im doing edexcel 😎
we gonna see
Thxxx
welcome :)
Ohh so it’s like a projecttt
How do uni view it, is there any advantage tht comes with it
LMAO
Oh delete what u send real quick then haha, tbh I’ll just look at the idea DW I’m not gnna come to ur house or sum💃
i mean, you can say public speaking skills, presentation skills, counts for half an alevel , easy to get an A* (apprently
sounds really fun
nah it was just my name and school 💀
Ohh Lolll
Thxxx
no worries :)
Ohhhh
Wait so is it a subject u pay for and submit as an exam
Or it’s like a project, and ull give it out as extra in uni applications
i think its like a research project
idk my school makes us do it, but you submit a final project and then you get graded on ur skills
yeap
Oh thxx
Gave +1 rep to yokiko#1477
Ohhhh so like u work on it all round year
Waw
yeap but don't leave it till the last minute like me 😭
sounds really fun, and u get to show ur work to unis after too
Yahh waw maybe I’ll consider it, but my school doesn’t offer it , so how do I do
Aha
exactly! and it can help differ you from other candiates yk
gl!!
Gll bye bye thx u too for answering
any recommendations for business administration diploma in Germany
i'll ask around
for those who'll read this chat
What A-Level subjects do i need for computer science?
Maths
computer science i would pressume
Not necessarily
nah maths is enough
oh damn never knew that
Well now you know 😂
thank you for this life changing information 😌
Yeah in general all you need is Math and some English qualifications
And something to supplement the Math
Like Physics, CompSci or maybe Business
Just take maths and then take subs which you like
Ez 😂
hey guys
i’m in grade 10
giving my gcses next year
i wanna do cinematography
and i’ve taken science
what should i do after 10th
i’m planning on doing as levels and then bachelor of arts for an undergrad
and then going to film school
can anyone give me any advice
I seriously don’t know which subs to take for film schools
I have an idea
Just go to some unis and film schools and see their entrance requirements
That should give you some idea about what subs to take
I'm a year 12/grade 11 student and I'm looking for universities right now. I've found out 2 which I found interesting Baku State University and Istanbul Bahçeşehir University. To all students who graduated from those universities mentioned, may I know your honest feedback and the qualifications do they require from a Cambridge curriculum student? (np if you ping me)
Heh alot more people about start messaging here
Including me
Is it possible to join a medical school with just as?
what are the advantages of taking a levels for master's
Y'all do u recommend getting a cybersecurity degree online after A -Level??
Are their any disadvantages of getting private in o levels like when u apply to uni do they prefer private Candida or the school one if they both have same grade
Doesn't matter i think
Which uni ??
advantages and disadvantages over joining private in a levels over school
Lol go to school
Don’t become a private candidate
why is that so?
- You have dedicated teachers who will support you in your education
- You have teachers and tutors who can help you with scholarships, university applications and entrance exams
- You almost certainly would need a recommendation letter from somebody who has taught you your A-level subjects like for example school reference or teacher reference
- You will miss out on the social aspects of going to school like making new friends
for no.3 my private teachers are teachers of my school too so if they give recommendation wont that work?
Look if your able to get a teacher who has taught you for A-levels to give you a recommendation letter than that also works
ok and for no.2 what i do otherwise to get help in uni application and entrance exams?
Just go to school is there any reason why you need to become a private candidate
You teachers don’t know much about international scholarships and uni applications other than a select few countries which are not that helpful
But still the education is good so I did from school
True
It is
guys
are there any disadvantages if we have a gap year :/
after A2
cuz there are soo many things to look after
MDCAT, IELTS etc
depends
for what the gap year is
and applying where
for IELTS gap year would just be a waste of time
if you can speak english
and read
and write
which i'd assume you do
idk what MDCAT is so wait for someone else
For IELTS you honestly just need a week or two of prep
I'm sure you can get at least a 9 (/9) on the IELTS with just a few days of preparation as well, even a single day if you're feeling confident.
You don't need to relearn how to read or listen to words, and
you don't rehearse conversations with people before you've had them, do you?
they say the speaking exam is supposed to be pretty close to a real life regular conversation
but it's not really like that.. it's completely synthetic and you'll be talking to someone who will inquire you about the vaguest things every now and then, taking 5 seconds to ask something and waiting very long for a response each time (a very one-sided conversation, this doesn't happen in real life). disclaimer: I haven't given the IETLS but I know about the structure and how it's conducted.
Yes you can, I'm just saying a week if they really feel the need to prep
Besides everyone has different levels of comfort with the language
And with test taking as well
IELTS is a scam and we're forced to take it because most universities will require either this or some other assessment to measure our "proficiency" in the English language, IELTS has a lot of what they call "partners" aka people who get a commission every time someone provides the score to the institute they're applying to
It absolutely is
Isn’t igcse First level English enough.
Coz tbh
IELTS and FLE have the same structure
Very similar tbh
They are basically the same
So if you've prepped for one then you'll be fine for the other
So guys
Y’all saying one or two days or max a week or two for IELTS
Can someone tell me abt MDCAT pls
How much time required for a rlly good good preparation
Maybe try the mdcat channel, you might get better responses there
Bs ??
talk shit
you must be able to go and on
like talk a lot
and in that case you might have to make some stuff up
in mine i said i mastered knuckleball💀
Lying is one thing
But don’t just start inventing shiz
Like stuff which doesn’t even exist
eh it's prob fine
Looks like your topic was near to football or sports
Then
Ahh
that came to mind for some reason
Makes sense
yeah you either spew out garbage at a shockingly fast pace or just stay shut and later wallow in the misery of your 1 band
because you know, people don't stop when speaking IRL and disfluencies are not real right?
how does one know which subjects to give when they arent sure which career they want to pursue?
a-level subjects
Just pick 2 science subjects and 1 humanities and 1 creative subject
However that requires you to do 4 A-levels though 😬
I would say pick Biology , Maths , Economics/Psychology and Art/Design
u said 2 sciences, wud that be bio and psychology?
SAT is done for USA what is done for UK??
STAND
Wat a joke
What can we do to get in uk uni for scholarship if we have decent grades
UK Universities barely do scholarships
And even if they do it’s not that much even for international students
i remember getting blue balled by Warwick
they sent an email titled "International Student Scholarship"
Whats other option any idea
Guys I need help
Yo guys I think I want to get into desighn and take making
like what type subjects required
I wanna be an interior desighner or smthing
Hi everyone
So I'll be giving igcse in mj 2023
But I have a question
If I move to another country in jan or March 2023 how do I give my exams there privately
What's the process and how do I register
Is it even possible
if i'm not wrong you should be able to register to sit for the exams in any registered centre
like if they have a centre number
ok thank you
Do u guys have any question are that can help u with what course u should do in college
yes
I just have physics and chemistry in my a levels
Which programs can I get into with these
Most engineering programs
I would also suggest you take maths coz some unis require maths alongside physics and chem for engineering programs
I don't really have time to take up another subject and I also registered. Chemistry and physics is the only subjects I'll have to work with.
I know math is pretty essential but unfortunately I can't
So I was wondering which science programs I can get into with just these two
and if not, then I would probably be left with choosing BBA or other programs I'm not interested in
Most unis need 3 subjects at a level
You have to take something else too
In my country, the requirement in every university is two
I’m already two years behind, I don’t want to study another subject and still be stuck in A levels
Bro I think you need to risk one more of your year
Coz getting into any course will be hard
Most courses need one specific subject
And then two other subs
So you will get stuck in the two other sub parts as you only have two
I’m actually not willing to do that so I think I’ll probably go for a course that both these subjects fit into then
View the universities you wanna apply to
Or look for them before u make this decision atleast
Theres no reason to commit without all the info
Okay, thanks for helping out guys
Yea
what a vague question
what are you more interested in? do you have any preferences? what do you want us to answer you based off of?
Both have great job opportunities
And good pay
So choose what you find easier and what you like
And if these two things are also equal then pick that which is cheaper to study
Although it depends more on your personal preference
What subjects should I choose and focus on if I'm interested in psychology?? And what do u study in uni for it
Is it worth it to get a high school diploma, will A levels be a sufficient subordinate?
I have just 1 more year remaining of school but I feel the school does me more harm than good
I agree
Are turkish universities good & Internationally recognized??
One of my friend studies over there and he says that the unis are really good
As for internationally recognized I think Turkish unis should be fine
As long as you don’t choose a uni which no one outside of Turkey knows about
Like it should be slightly famous
Or know in that aspect
Other than that you are fine
Mine uni is ONDOKUZ MAYIS UNIVERSITY, and I have heard it's really prestigious in Turkey!!
But thank you!!
Nice then no problem at all
Can someone explain the difference between Computer Science and Computer Engineering
long things short, computer science deals w things to do w software
computer engineering deals w hardware
Simple bro engineering means to build and maintain
So computer engineering is about building and maintaining computers and related tech
So computer science is mostly software with a little bit of hardware knowledge sprinkled in
Both are good tbh as you can’t go wrong with either
Guys I am doing 3 subjects in my school. I want to take history additionally but my school does not offer it. What should I do?
Take it privately
nope, how can a person do both school and homeschooling?
You can take certain subjects privately
Certain?
Can’t you take all privately
You can but she meant that you can do some subjects privately while still doing normal subs at school
Yep
school not offering that subjects.
Can I go to an American school even if I completed my as or....
Like is it recommended to go
Cuz 2 of classmates failed and are trying to switch to American
And my mom not confident in me after my as wants to send me as well
you want to go to University in America after AS-levels right
But foundation if that's a thing otherwise Imma redo in oct
what you got in AS
Cde 😮💨🔫
Guys
Everyone
Tomorrow I have a career counseling session in my school
Can anyone tell me any question I should ask to what no one in this channel has an answer to
Question must be regarding Pre Med (Pure Sciences) completion after A2
Like questions regarding medical entry exam, unis and stuff
Also won’t it be a bit off topic if I ask counselor any advices regarding preparation of MDCAT? Since counselors are more suitable for advising u on unis nd stuff?
In terms of salaries It's quite good
I'm not sure about the workload of the major tho
Also have you actually read books or some econ related articles?
In other words are you sure you'll enjoy studying it In uni?
any ideas on what extra curricular activities to join or other things to improve application/cv
im currently in student council and am planning to join duke of Edinburgh extra curricular...
community Outreach
if you are into enginiering then you can try and build something
like a trike
???????????????
You will get either opinionated answers or answers from public information on Google. Why not search it up and save yourself some time?
What does “good” mean? Good as in high paying? Good as in easy?
Good as in Good.
high paying
High paying - depends
High amount and difficult work - yes
High paying depends on the region
And scope of field is very bright and good too as of rn
Only time will tell
yo is a chartered accountant a high paid job
what about a chief medical officer which is higher from both?
lit job
study
ok thank u

Study what ??
I think he means study first 💀
study for what man
Like study before looking for stuff
Studies are the most important
damn

Is there any high paying job for aerospace engineers that are easy to get?(i mean not very competitive jobs)
idk much about
aerospace engineering
but you'd think that if a job is high paying
it will obvs be competitive to get
No no that’s not what i meant… forexample we all know that most dentists are paid more than pharmacists(average) or surgeons more that optometrists… that’s how I want a comparison btn jobs in aerospace field
that im not sure about
all that ik about smthn similar to that is
ig aeronautical engineering
i have been told by a significant figure in this field
significant at least in my country
it's not really a great job
pay-wise and prob exit opportunity wise
nope
india
bruh
1 gulf country
well if it helps it isn't ksa
fair enough
dont wanna narrow it too down
??
Riyadh
i am
ahh local gulf
yeah
okay makes sense
heyyy!! Does anyone know how to find uni online research work??
You think very hard in ur head
What do i want to major in
Then u find university based on that
Rank them based on their course curriculum
And tuition fee
And where its located
Then apply
how to find uni online research
you use the internet to find out how (just like I did right now to answer you). You can use Google Scholar and specify the library through library links. You may need to have access to the resource you're trying to access first:
Bro just call it persian gulf
he meant local as in native to that area lmao
ohhh this is sick, thank u mate really helpful

If I get a medicine degree outside of Europe and the USA, will there be any additional things I have to undergo to work as a doctor in Europe or the US and A?
For the USA you'll need to write the USMLE that's for sure
There are probs similar exams for Europe
Although I don't know the details so you'll have to check
And thats it?
Which country
Are you planning to do your medical from
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little proprietry bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the FSF, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Apple patents, and I have over 300 confirmed bug fixes. I am trained in Free Software Evangelizing and I'm the top code contributer for the entire GNU HURD. You are nothing to me but just another compile time error. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am building a GUI using GTK+ and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can decompile you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my Model M. Not only am I extensively trained in EMACS, but I have access to the entire arsenal of LISP functions and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit Freedom all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking debugged, kiddo. @unreal canopy @coral thicket
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Android, is in fact, Google/GNU/Linux/Android, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, Google plus GNU plus Linux plus Android. Android is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU/Linux system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX and licensed by the FSF. Many Android users run a modified version of the Google/GNU/Linux/Android system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Google/GNU/Linux/Android which is widely used today is often called "TouchWiz", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Google/GNU/Linux/Android system, developed by the Google/GNU/Linux/Android Project. There really is an Android, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Google is the all-knowing corporation backing the project. GNU is the slave to socialism and Stallman himself. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. Android is the OS Layer running the entire scene. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Google/GNU/Linux/Android is normally used in combination with Proprietary operating systems: the whole system is basically Google/GNU/Linux/Android with Manufacturer-added Bloatware, or Google/GNU/Linux/Android/Samsung/TouchWiz. All the so-called “Android” distributions are really distributions of Google/GNU/Linux/Android.

So I've caught quite an interest in business and economics and I'm thinking of pursuing MBA for this. But for the entrance exam it would require math....and I've studied only 9th and 10th math so do I need to take it more on 11th?
I hate math
have u done a bba
Heyy y'all,
Anyone who completed their a levels this year may June 2022. Did Ur uni asked for a certificate named provisional certificate for admission procedure??
Me who didn’t even shortlist a uni yet
And half of the previous year’s g12 not finding a uni yet to apply to 😂
Me who got in full ride but can't go because the embassy is asking for this certificate and I have no idea on how to solve this!🫠🫠
Have you asked your school?
My school printed off the results from their system and signed and stamped it
Yeah, they said they can issue a letter similar to it but embassy needs that document itself!
I submitted that and they still need provisional certificate!
Have you found anyone going to the same country?
Yeah but they are either from different board or are from other country!!
I am clueless on how to solve it!!
Which country are you going to?
not sure if they give provisional certificate but i had to some government work
and for that
Turkey not sure if I'll be able to got tho!!
@vast bramble you're Turkish no?
I submitted my electronic SOR verified from college, British council and Moe, mofa of my country but they also need provisional certificate as a different criteria!
wtf is provisional certificate lol
i mean i just know that they give a certificate
but that comes out in october
Exactly my question, I talked to so many ppl noone from a level have this certificate!!
are you doing CIE?
Yeah!
lemme see smthn real quick then
their website doesnt mention about their being any provisional certificate either
this is rather odd
have you tried contacting the university?
Yeah, they said u need to submit any documents requested by embassy at any cost no matter how much I explain to them!
Exactly, this is literally the stupidity of embassy for which I'll have to pay by losing this scholarship!
have you tried talking to the embassy?
Embassy official are the real villains in this, they say they needed this document and just walk away without listening what I have to say. So it's really odd🫠🫠
this is a tough situation
what I would do if I was you is
I would explain to whichever entity that's providing your scholarship the whole situation, they might be nice with you, and perhaps even help
and I would try talking to the embassy again and again until i get smthn back from them lol
and ig Naf might be able to help considering he's turkish
so wait for Naf
Ight, I am waiting! I have no other options lol
yeah lol
just keep trying w the embassy
you'll have to be patient
and prob explain it to whoever is offering you the scholarship i would suggest
The embassy officials in Delhi Turkish embassy are the rudest person I have ever met in my life, lol. They just don't care if Ur scholarship gets declined or anything they just keep being themselves!
@umbral summit the embassy wants an A level certificate that is so called "provisional" right?
Is this for residency related things?
yeah wassup
How can i help
Idk about this provisional thing ur talking abt bec even tho i count as a foreign student bec i have dual nationalities i came to turkey loooong time ago so i never had to deal with immigration
so i never heard of this document u speak or , maybe tell me uni name and i see its requirements myself or maybe i know the uni
what are u required to do to get this document? Bec i never heard of it so it may be immigration related and not that much educational
This is for scholarship agreement signing for my scholarship application!
So the story is like this, I got accepted into this scholarship called turkey burslari scholarship and we need to get a agreement signed from embassy for scholarship acceptance and for that we need to provide original documents to embassy for verification, and I submitted all my a levels certs and then they asked me for provisional certificate which I couldn't get!
They showed me this certificate as an example from my country national board!
So that's the main issue I need help with!
That's a Nepali board tho
Not CIE
So you don't need a cie provisional certificate but rather a provisional certificate from your local board
Contact your local board to check on how to get that
No, ofc I studied from cie, this is a example they showed me, for the certificate I need. Not this exact certificate!
They won't issue it cause I didn't studied from my national board!
Here is the deal
Cie won't issue a provisional certificate so what they probably mean is a statement of results
So get yours and get it attested and all and give it to them
Because otherwise the person who is processing your application is not sending you to Turkey intentionally
For no proper reason
That's what I'd say is going on here
Also get a letter from your ministry of education if possible stating you completed 12 years of education
Already submitted that as well, lol
Yeah this isnt related to turkey idk anything abt this
Idk but I feel the same, embassy is trying smth out on me!!
And it's just outrageous, 🫠🫠
Looking current situation it's gonna get declined automatically soon!!
Well everything has its own first time, lol
Btw, where u from??
It's just me from Nepal from a level who got this government scholarship as far as ik so it's just extra hard!!
You have idea of ondokuz mayis uni??
ohh
one in izmir
yee ik about it
its been on my radar
oh wait
is that the one in istanbul
No one in samsun, lol
huh
Ondokuz mayis uni in samsun!
ohh what
ahh
one im talking about is dokuz eylul
different
i heard about ondokuzmayis
Good or bad??
i think its a good uni
yee i heard good things
unless im mixing up again
what field?
For psychology!
hmmm
i dont know that much about that uni
but the city
is not a popular or big city
Okay now that doesn't help, I was hoping to hear bad thing!!🥲
let me put it this way
its not the best out there
it seems decent
i just dunno if u'd like the city its in
like samsun is a nice city and its in the karadeniz province i believe which is surrounded by greenery and nature
but if ur into big cities and all , not the place i think
Okay thanks that helps! Since I am losing this full ride anyways now!!
Gave +1 rep to Kyoshi#2711
no problem man anytime , but honestly its a good opportunity if u have no other options and like u wanna go out of nepal like dont stop fighting until u cant anymore if u got a scholarship too thats great dont let it go to waste
all im sayin is , if u make it to samsun and that uni etc , theres waaaaay more to turkey that u'll need to see :)
Tmr afternoon is the deadline, lol
I literally did everything I could, called Cambridge, scholarship committee, embassy official. Tried bribing at the end as well, lol! Nth worked out. So it's just the end💀
ahh so unlucky man , i hope u get an even better opportunity soon
thats a good milestone , goodluck bro
let me know if u need to ask smth or some help about turkey , i dont know everything but i will try my best to help
Yeah sure, I have tried smth really rough. Let's hope it works out till tmr afternoon then, I might be able to get extension to think more ways!
Sure!!! : )
best of luck 👍
I need honest opinions on Data Science?
Is it just stats or something else?
a lot of it is stats
I don't think you will be concerned with the statistics part that much at a junior level though
you just need to
import pandas as pd
import numpy as np
at least from what I've seen people from that field tell me
good for you
It's a good mix of stats and compsci
And in my degree you have a few dedicated data sci subs as well
You learn data analysis and report making with R and ML with Python
And you can do hardcore programming units as electives
Algorithm units and stats units as selectives
There's a lot of options
They finally declined my scholarship, lol. And not a single thing was my fault, embassy and turkey burslari committee, messed up😂
Broooooo
So unlucky
I feel bad for you
Does having retakes affect your application?
My bad i did not specify what about just the as level?
As its not compulsory to add as level results on ucas
Are you retaking an AS for the sake of forwarding the marks?
Or are you retaking it just because you want to do better at it?
Just so I understand properly, you will now do a full A level this upcoming series because you messed up AS in your previous series?
Yes
In that case, unless your course is really competitive, idt unis will have an issue
Although check with urs before applying
Alright thanks
It is compulsory to add all your AS results in UCAS including retakes
Failure to do so may prevent you from securing a university place in England
Universities would like to see an applicants whole education background
And also if you don’t include your AS results there might still be able to tell you retook your A-levels still based on the gaps between your education
Idk but I know some universities have resit policies for A-levels for example the Law course at King college London requires you to have finished your A-levels within a 2 yr period and also this being your first attempt at studying A-levels
Modules are optional
Mine is early lol
However the actual AS grade
Wdym
I am supposed to give a levels next year i am giving one subject this year
How long have you been doing A-levels for
I am in my 2nd year
Yeah but make sure to tell ucas all your AS grades and A-level grades including retakes
If you lie then rip they will definitely find out
Okayy
Which UK universities you applying for and for which course
Edinburgh,UCL not so sure about others till now
Cs with physics for edin and cs for ucl
Hi guys, Today in my school they just informed that Mock igcse exam will be count on our school grade. It sounds ridiculous so I am asking if any of you had experience like this. Is it actual thing??? To grade your mock result to your school grade??
Yea they do that over here
Our second term exams are basically caie examination
But they are counted in our reports
So if i had an A and then i got D as mock exam then my school year grade might fall??
I was talking if it counted on my school Year grades
Not on report
yea ofcrs same thing
What I think you mean is that you are asking whether mocks will affect your end of year report cards right
If you're asking that then in our school yes they do impact our end of year report cards from the school
😩
Idk what’s wrong with New principal but he’s doing that from this year
And i am Y1-
11*
well we faced this since forever so i dont mind
well its an exam conducted by the school so it'd make sense for it to be a part of your school grade
exactly
guys are o-levels enough to get into a college in europe?
Guys I need ans for this too
I'm not very knowledgeable on this but I think it would be helpful for you and @red verge to state ur majors so that people could actually give u a proper response
CS
And ik for a fact uni in Europe need full A levels and as level won’t cut it
But yea would love to know about colleges
CS aswell
yes but u might do 1 or 2 year foundation
Just finish al
Hi, anyone here has any idea of what is asked in IIT exams in India?
Is it grade 10 + 11 + 12 syllabus? Or is there something more advanced than that?
how many years of past papers are considered good?
Is this something youre writing on your cv?
What is the answer for the last one?
Wrong channel bro!
As konsept said this is the wrong channel but ill tell you that you take your (e) value and divide it by the volume of liquid in the beaker/whatever the question is using(keep in mind to convert cm3 to dm3)

has anyone gotten the cambridge trust scholarship(undergrad)? if so, how much do they offer?
hi, just wanted to ask, if we consider taking architecture as a major in univeristy, is physics at gcse required?
Not that I have anything to do with architecture but it looks like the portfolio is more important than the grades
This is for Manchester
They don't seem to be too specific about subjecys
Hi, I wanted to know if I get 4 A*s in A Level can I secure scholarship?
Guys would taking high school math in AS level be a bad idea???
U can, but there are a lot of other factors as well, u wanna shine on!
As Konsept mentioned, there are many factors:
Which University are you applying to?
Do they offer scholarships?
What kind of scholarships do they provide and how much?
Some are generally application-based; others you could be considered for automatically when you are applied and admitted should your grades be over a certain threshold.
Another way to secure a scholarship is to apply to slightly lower ranked universities than your "safe choices" or your "mid-level to high chance of being accepted" range.
I would recommend to not take 4 subjects unless you really want to get into a top school as most universities simply require 3 AL Subjects and usually just counts your best 3. 3 A*s will be much, much easier to get than 4.
A benefit of keeping 4 AL will be that you can pick many more programs to major in while you're applying. (i.e. Taking CS and Chem in addition to Phy and Maths may keep both engineering and compsci paths open, but again criteria varies from university to university and I highly recommend you to do your research on your choice of universities before you pick your AL's, to not go overboard and take unnecessary load that could be avoided)
As someone currently doing 4 AL's, I would discourage anyone to take more than 3 because it really is and can be difficult to manage your schedule and workload effectively, not to mention your extracurriculars, should you have any in Grade 11 and 12. This is my take on the matter. Hope it helps!
Oh and by the way, depending on what university you apply to academics aren't everything, therefore to a certain degree, you cannot get a scholarship in some places even if you have 4 A*s. So, you should also develop a good personal profile while you're at it for the best results
Thank you very much for the information
On a sidenote and I don't mean to nitpick, this is a really good guide.
Compsci paths only require maths, CS is an additional subject that would be useful. This is because a lot of schools don't offer CS and so unis don't require it, although it will help
But I took bio chem Phys maths and that kept medicine open
Even though I didn't want to but oh well
Oh yeah you're 100% right. For most subjects as long as you have Maths, Physics and one of the other sciences (Chem, CS, Bio), it's more than good enough. I told this to one of my juniors that they should say f off to CS because it's one of those subjects you can always learn at university. If it's more important to you to keep more pathways open, Chem>>CS
I can't drop CS because I did better in it than Chem (raw mark wise) and I wanna keep Chem (even tho I did absolute dog in it) so I can keep Engineering as an option I can fall back on
(Thing about raw mark is like I have a higher chance of getting an A* in CS compared to Chem to make my grade avg A☆, if I even manage to get an A☆ in Physics)
Ah the suffering because of being a lazy fuck in AS level
is bca in Ai & coding worth doing
yes
yes
sidenote: if you're not willing to put in the effort in your questions, people who answer you aren't required to either
Hello!
I wanted to know what are the job opportunities and courses available for those taking economics, maths and business
Just to clarify am I allowed to use the grades from the same subject, for e.g AS Math grade "A" and A Level math grade "B" towards my UCAS points, because if I don't get A's in my math and physics this year I was thinking of doing my AS maths and physics again next year as well as my A levels.
Year 2023
AS - Maths (A) - 60 + Physics (A) - 60
A Level - Maths (B) - 100 + Physics (B) - 100
In Total that would give me 320 which is sufficient to enter a bachelor of engineering.
That's not the case
If you have A level in a subject
The AS level won't be counted
Go liberal studies bro!!
Hi guys
Just wanted to find out Weathers its possible to apply for medicine with AS level marks cause currently country doesnt offers A level
( im hanging on a thread)
You might be able to join a foundation year / pre uni program that allows it
Could u enlighten me abit more please 👀
theyre a 1-2 year course that prepare u for uni and have lower entry reqs
theyre not as specific as uni in the subjects u study so theres a bit of a few subjects but it'll be like biomed or physics n chem for example
Do universities offer such courses 🥲
yep!
There's hope after all thank you 😭
there are, because I took foundation and now studying my degree
What do y'all think, is India good country to study btech and mtrch combined Aerospace engineering??
What procedures did you take to get there
IGCSE -> Foundation -> Degree
🫡👍
if youre doing aerospace then do it in a country where you're a national or where you can get security clearance
bec trying to get internships/ experience is impossible if you're in a diff country that has high requirements for security clearances since almost all aerospace companies are defence related
Yeah, my country doesn't have strong aerospace background, infact it doesn't even have it's own air force, and India is the closest country to it. And I think my country and India has good relationship so that works??
I don’t think that’s how it works
If you are from NZ, u need BBA in 3 different a levels or equivalent to secure a place for bachelors of engineering
Which is 320 points
i'm currently writing my IGCSEs and i want to study fine arts in university, but i'm not sure if i should go for A levels because i've read around and most articles are saying A-levels aren't required. i also looked around art schools in London and not a lot of them mentioned anything about A levels... are they required or not so i know what to do and if i should begin making my portfolio..
Yes A-levels are required if you are looking to study in London /UK also I wouldn’t rely on “articles” too much if you are unsure about the entry requirements for art school look at the university website
And they entry requirements they have stated they accept for applicants
ahh i see
thank you for the confirmation, i was really confused TvT
What about extra-curriculars in the UK?
I don’t know tbh but I would assume extra curricular activities don’t have a significant weighting that much but it is useful to mention on your personal statement if you can link it back to why it’s relevant to your course e.g what skills you have gained from it etc or ask your school to mention it on there reference or something . Most universities for majority of courses in the UK look at 3 factors when assessing an applicant , academic results , personal statement and school reference
As long as you meet your courses entry requirements and deadline you should still be considered however it’s not guaranteed you would get a offer tbh some courses are highly competitive 😕
The UK likes supercurriculars not extracurriculars
What's a supercurricular
stg you pursue outside of your normal schoolwork which is still related to your academic interests.
Tentatively, it's sort of like joining a competition with award
Ah
anyone from Mumbai, India?
Ah, thanks
Gave +1 rep to Rizkal0121#2900
@shadow tree (I have no idea honestly)
im from india but not mumbai 😂
other people could help if you said what you needed
Wouldn't someone from india work too, not specifically from mumbai

is it possible to do something related with IT when u only got a B for math igcse? i heard u need to be rly good on math if u wanna do coding things
I think B would be fine but you need to get an A/A* in A levels
Someone correct me if I'm wrong
You really should have taken computer science if you wanted to do coding or software engineering
Math is essential yes but you can work on it and it's not the end of the world
B means you do understand the fundamentals so if you put some time into it then I think you can do it
Plus not every uni is gonna ask for an A*, that's just unrealistic
Yo what to write in Centre No ? there is not centre no in my SOE
Idt that's not possible, everyone has a centre number, that like the number of Ur school from Cambridge!
Due to registering from passport id there is not centre no
Doesn't matter what you register with
It's where you write exams
I registered with my passport
in igcse or A levels?'
i moved to the middle east when i was 10
Is physics necessary too
nope
only maths
and maths is really necessary
If I continue as level without physics nd do only maths nd ict
Will universities in the UK or Canada accept me?
seems fine
btw
