You took a research from excercise, which can be any excercise (running, cycling, pushups etc), and release of growth hormones is no doubt and your body will grow, but its entirely irrelevent to the topic we were talking. (about effect of weight lifting on "solely" height)
you are confusing growth with height.
If you search, and according to many experts excercie has "NO" effect on height, it does NOT affect bone "length".
Although what it affects is bone "density". The main efector on height after genetics is just "Nutrition" and some medicine or medical condition.

if its tendonitis, i feel you, ive had it happen many times before, its the most common injury for lifters
ive found what helps tendonitis is movement. do move the afflicted joint through a range of motion which youre slightly comfortable in (it will hurt but something that is manage-able), this could be lifting really tiny weights too it doesnt need to be heavy
so for the elbows that can be hammer curls, tricep extensions, bicep curls
what ppl do wrong is they think they have to stop moving the joint - wrong it's the worst thing u can do if you have tendonitis
