As of right now, I am an Edexcel IAL student, studying to go down the Bio/Chem/Medicine rout (undecided of which in specific)
I finished my AS studies and part of my IAS exams (2 of 3 subjects).
Thing is, I started my A levels on May of 2024, and so, as per my (barely much done) research on university criteria, that leaves me a maximum of 3 years to finish my A levels, and that would be May of 2027.
First off, is this correct?
And secondly, if I am to take all three years (until May 2027), how could it affect my chances to a university.
My current plan is to complete all my exams within this year (So I would do exams on May 2026 and Oct 2026).
However, when I do the Oct 2026 exam, it would be considered as the "third year" of my Alevels, correct?
And so, if that is the case, would it be wiser for me to utilize the "third yer" (all the way until May 2027) and spread my exams over Oct 26, Jan 27 and May 27; so i can study more effectively with more freedom of time?

For calculating average absolute uncertainty in any amount of numbers:
Absolute uncertainty = ( Largest number - Smallest number ) / 2
For example:
Value of d1 = 5.0
Value of d2 = 4.2
Absolute uncertainty of d avg = ( 5.0 - 4.2 ) / 2 = 0.4
For calculating absolute uncertainty involving logarithmic equations:
Value of V = 6.2
Absolute uncertainty in V = +- 0.2
Recommended way:
final uncertainty = [ ln ( original V + absolute uncertainty ) - ln (original V - absolute uncertainty ) ] /2
final uncertainty = [ ln ( 6.4 ) - ln ( 6.0 ) ] / 2
final uncertainty = 0.03
final uncertainty = ln ( original V ) - ln ( original V - absolute uncertainty )

Calculate all the data in 3 significant figures (generally done) or to one s.f. more or equal to the s.f of the

However, in the case of logarithmic calculations, the number of d.p for the calculated log is the number of
s.f in the raw data. Hence for raw data of 3 s.f. the log should be calculated to 3 d.p.
The significant figures of uncertainty are usually ignored in the marking scheme but stick to 1 or 2 s.f
