i take 3 and for most peeps its perfectly acceptable

same goes for most universities and most courses, they know and acknowledge 3 subjects are challenging enough and is somewhat equivalent to other courses such as IB for university entrance

So let's say for instance I got 255/300 in AS
and then I got 200/300 for my A2
What would be my final overall grade?
So the percentage is around 75 percent overall
Does that mean I get a B overall?

Talking in terms of edexcel IAL

Your overall grade will be B because your UMS is 455/480 and A grade is from 480 and B from 420. For an A grade, you need a total of 480 UMS in AS + A2 Combined. for A* tho you need a sum of 180 UMS in pure 3 and pure 4 as well as 480/600 UMS in AS and A2 Combined.

i start with independent and dependant variable, identify the constant and how to keep it constant
then i make the diagram
then i get the 3 analysis marks, how to plot graph, tell why relationship could be true and re-arrange the equation to find variables that i need to
then i mention how every single variable can be measured/found in the main equation
if needed i describe mini experiments for the variables, like for spring constant we use a separate stand and find x and F and use k = F/x and that scores buncha marks
then i remember to get the safety mark
then i describe the diagram a little, adding detail here and there (like clamps, fudicial markers, recording the experiment)
then i mention how many times to chance the independant variable (6 times), to get a good graph and increase accuracy of the results
then i mention how many times to measure values such as T, or diameter (multiple times and use average to increase accuracy)
when doing this, i always mention "what", "why", and "how"
after this there are just some detail marks left which can be obtained by understanding the setup and putting whatever comes to mind

when you're planning, never assume that whatever you said makes sense to the examiner, you might miss a detail mark like that

dont waste space, but put everything you can that makes sense

always start with the confirmed marks first, like i said them

i think its a pretty sensible way of solving the question

you understand more and more about the later marks as you attempt these first marks

its fun and depressing, depends alot on ur uni ig. if u can make friends then itll be really fun but ig dont be too optimistic since reality can often be dissapointing. go in with a mindset that u just need to survive till ur degree is over, dont do any useless hang outs with ur bacth mates since that friendship is only for a while lol. focus on why u started in the first place.
