That’s basically syllabus code

What it means is different combinations of papers when giving exam, I’m sure you’re aware of variants and all of that from O levels, so just take that prior knowledge and apply here.

Though just for explanation, if there’s a subject with a certain code like AY for 24,000 rupees or something and then for the same subject there is some other code that may have an amount double to that, or around that range, then that just means that the people who chose that code are giving both AS and A2 together, hence the double price.

In A level you can divide the full syllabus into 2 parts AS and A2, which you can give separate or together. So if you see Business with 17,000 in one place and 25,000 in another, then that (increase from 17000 to 25000) probably just means that it’s a combination where the person is giving both AS and A2.

Go online and search for threshold of this exact year and session, you will see the codes there and also see the combinations of paper. After giving it a slight view, you can go and look at the syllabus of the subject that you’re interested in checking out, it explains in detail.
