Jan is the deadline for Canadain unis so you can do that. But get started on your application as soon as ur exams end don't wait for your result to come out. And then u can finish it asap on the day u get your result online and immediately submit

For uk I think you can apply even after Jan but ofc there's limited placements n stuff so best to apply as early as you can
