Alrighty so since you are struggling with motivation I've got a few stuff you can do.

1. Study with a group of friends
2. Try going to a café/library to keep changing your environment so that you don't get "bored"
3. Try not to burn out by taking regular breaks (they should only be a fixed time, no extending your break)
4. Try youtubing topics that you don't understand and ask questions
5. Try convincing yourself that you really got this and you've got time.
6. Try making a daily schedule so you know exactly what you are gonna do on each day and can track your progress

I am sitting for Cambridge AS level Information Technology for 2023. So far I have been using Windows movie maker and that is what my teacher has told me to use for the practical examination. However in a website I have seen that cambridge suggests windows live movie maker which is a discontinued software and is different from the Windows movie make you can mind on Microsoft store.

I have seen practical papers of IT on youtube and they have used the live movie maker the older one. The comments section did not help me to know whether this would be used on the real examination.

Talking to a student form the May/June batch of 2023 I got to know they had the new version of windows movie maker on the computers they used to sit for the examination, however, they did not have video editing on their examination.

If anyone here knows with certainty the software which Cambridge AS level Information Technology will let the students work with for the video editing part. Kindly let me know.

The spike is there but its not too bad in my opinion, if you practise enough. I only do stem subjects, so I can say that the spikes are much worse for those subjects, I do not know about the arts tho.

ok folks i have a decision to make

i made a terrible mistake in choosing my AS Level subjects, i have no background in two out of three of my subjects

my trial exam is in 30 days, i have next to no preparation done, i am struggling in AS accounting and i can get never get over 10 out of 30 questions correct in an mcq while i can never get above 30 out of 90 in my paper 2. My economics is fine and at the current rate i can manage a C, maybe a B. My maths should be fine too, managing a B most likely. I have a bursary/scholarship, and i must get a CGPA of 2.00 to keep it. At the rate im going i wouldnt reach that value.

i have two options:

1. Spread out what little time i have left to accounting and economics and hope i can still remember everything i learnt in my IG Add maths
2. Completely dump accounting and focus everything on economics and maths to get an A for both of them so i can get above 2.00

what do i do?

You could try dumping accounting and selecting another subject like english language or sociology or something simple coz unis sometimes require a minimum.of 3 subjects

Ok folks i think i need to reschedule my studying. I am still struggling in my accounting, my economics is somewhat managable and my maths is starting to seriously fall behind. I can do at best, 7 hours of studying on the weekends and 3 hours on the weekdays.

On the weekends, i put 3 hours on accounting, 2 hours on economics, 1 hour on pure maths and 1 hour on stats (on paper it will be less).

On the weekdays, i put all my focus on accounting and economics.

This schedule seems to not be working well, i still barely understand accounting and my maths is falling behind. The only positive is my economics is managable, only due to the amount of time i spend on it.
