uh so i'm in AS and yk how we have mocks before CIEs

a phy sir ik in my school told my friend that instead of speed running syllabus for mocks we should study steadily for CIES and forget what grades we get in mocks

like instead of doing 12 chaps we should do 6 but thoroughly and not care about our mock grade

in short he said mocks r useless don't worry abt them study for the long run (CIES)

The thing is, your mock grades will be on the transcript which you send to colleges, based on my knowledge of the system

In the end, it really depends on what country you are from and, more importantly, which colleges you are aiming for

Honestly, yes, I recommend taking the mocks

My reasoning for this is that it gives you an opportunity to get into the 'examination' mood

And having a fixed goal (the goal here being the mocks) tends to help with preparation

Whether or not you give the mocks, you will be able to study pretty much the same either way, save for maybe a couple hours everyday

the mocks will serve as excellent practice and will help you better figure out your weaknesses

As they wrote in the article you sent, if things like the answer script being lost happens, they use your predicted grade
