Hi, am used to these types of questions in Physics but it's usually two seperate bottles instead of one bottle with different colored sides. My confusion is why they provided two thermometers if its one single bottle.

You are given two different color os the bottle and are asked to see if there is any difference caused due to the color on the temp, so you will keep one thermometer in the hole but point them in either sides (one having to be on the black side and tge other on white side) and note the difference

I recommend wathcing videos, or ready notes on the topics

which ever suits you the best

for me i am a visual learner, so i watch videos

then after you watch the videos, try and write down waht you understnad. Compare that with already published notes and syllabus

understand what you forgot, and then perfect your summary notes

after you get a topic, dont forget it by just leaving it and doing other topics. Try and do topical questions for it from time to time

and ofc once done with a subject, do past papers

that should help you! Ofc also try to use your clases to learn and ask your teachers any question

and OFC, ZNotes is here to help you on the way, We got good notes for Chem & Add maths (i think Bio too, but i dont do Bio so i am not sure)

(I have reviewed the Add maths notes myself, so you can use that!)

But remmember few topics are cramming, while others are practice, make sure not to forgot the old topics while doing new ones

make sure to use methods like active recall, meaning have a schedule where you dont forgot old topics, and revist them from time to time

to build up good memory

So it is not balanced,

so you have to know how much of the CO2 to add or how much of the h2o to add to balance it

thus it should be
6 CO2 + 6 H20 --> C6H12O6 + 6O2

now if you count both sides, it have the same number of elements

Listen, I have an important question. I’m 2 days away from doing a Business 0450 IGCSE Paper 1 exam, should I use ZNotes to study the theory part of it or stick to my notebook/textbook? Also, some of the definitions for words are twisted in ZNotes from the actual text book definition and after asking ChatGPT whether I would get full marks for some of the definitions from ZNotes, it told me “No.” Lastly, there is no fixed cost/variable cost in ZNotes (Unit 5). Depends- if you have already studied prior and are looking to remember more details I think the textbook is for you, and whereas if you need to do quick revision Znotes is there. Znotes was always meant for quick revision, not actually studying the topics.

I gave edexcel pak studies exams in may june 2025 idk if its similar but we had 16 markers, 5 paragraphs, first was describing the question and what it was asking like 1-2 lines for background then your view on the question. 2nd para was another view and also 3rd. 4th was a mixed view like similar and 5th was conclusion

Sorry for answering this late, im appearing next year but i ws told that you need to write an introduction in which you need to tell if you agree or disagree by the statement and list down all the other reasons like for example if the question is "The spread of Marathan power was the main reason for the decline of the Mughal Empire, Do you agree or disagree?" You need to give a stance, so for example ofc there were many other reasons you can be like "I agree with this statement,HOWEVER there were many more reasons that lead to the fall of Mughal empire and then you list down all the other reasons like Aurangzeb,no law of succession,jizya was imposed,money spent of luxurious lifestyle and all that right? You just LIST these in the first paragraph and then you pick each point for every paragraph and your number of paragraphs truly depend on the number of points you know but required is like 5 atleast and then after you use the P.E method (point and explanation) for these main points and at the end you need to give a short conclusion like "To conclude, we can say that the power of the Marathas was to be a decisive factor in the decline of the Mughals, because if the Mughals had won their support, they might have jointly averted the process of decline, or at least slowed it down. Instead, Mughals failed to make friends with them, and constantly earned their hostility." Or it can be shorter

If you dont understand any topics use YT (since your in grade 8, you guys must not be done with even 50% of the syllabus, so make sure to follow what you have been taught or what you need accroding to school! In yt you could find specific topiic) As for ZNotes, it has been updated on 23th Nov, according to the new syllabus, it covers all things, but you might be taught in a different order than the offical IGCSE Syllabus

no not really, before 2025, it was both calc papers, with the new syllabus of 2025, non-calc was introduced for both Add maths and normal maths, but the non-calc papers have easiers questions, and a lower grade boundary so it balances out

For maths you should do yt videos to understand the topic, and then past paper questions based on your topics to cement that chapter And ofc ZNotes just updated their math note so even they are good to use for a quick review and recap on chapters. For comp sci i am not sure since i did not do it. For Eco use mind-maps, same for Business, you should make mind maps, cause everything connects in those subjects. So if you understand what leads to what it can be helpful, there is our notes ofc for this, or you can use IGCSE Aid as well for those 2. For English as a second language, we have notes coming out which I have reviewed myself as well, and they are actully good notes. It is mainly about paper pattern and quick tips and tricks so hopefully that will help. For acc i have no idea 😭 sorry.

ig ict is alot of advantages and disavantages in theory. French depends on how you study it (i always hated it), but if you know the paper pattern that could make it easier for you (we have good french notes on the website fyi)

so mainly for physics is you need to understand the topic

so for physics you need ot understand the topics and its basciss, a good way to do that is via youtube. There this youtuber called Mo Ali who does videos for each topics which are like 2 hrs long. and they are really - i mean really good! You can use them to understand the topics. Do some tropical questions to understand the topics and paper pattern properlly. And while studying for the next topics, just keep visting the old ones to not forget. You can do that by using our summary notes to have a quick look and remember stuff. You can use tricks like active recall for that too

Bio, we have good notes. Physics notes can be a bit confusing. If you got enough time to watch few yt videos then that would be the way, and tropical questions to finish

Complex number? that is werid. There is not much you can do for maths in terms of learning. The best way to get maths is by doing questions, do past paper question, tropical questions quizzes. They all help, but you need to know the topic first so you could also use youtube to understand the topics, and see solved examples

and the part about homeostasis, its called maintaining internal conditions, for IGCSE we learn stuff like maintaining blood-sugar levels, temp levels, blood water levels and blood-O2/CO2 levels

so u gotta learn organs, hormones and functions of those things involved and you're set

Yea am not facing issues with bio it’s mostly the studying part most questions are direct about what they want and repeated

Besides a good way I studied for the exam took pictures of the pages on my book put then in notebook lm and created quizzes on them until I got nothing wrong

what I did is I summed up the things from the syllabus that can relate to these things, so for blood sugar levels there's insulin and glucagon which u will learn about, for temp levels u have skin (vasodilation/vasoconstriction, the hair muscles making the hair lay or upright yada yada) blood-water levels there's ADH in the kidney chapter, blood O2/CO2 levels is literally just lungs, circulatory system and heart all involved in maintainting that...

so uh not to be nerding around but what u did is called encoding... its something people do to have a strong baseline understanding of a topic, if you wanna have a stronger grip with the subject you should do more things after u did the quizzes

what I typed here came from the top of my head, not from notes, that goes to show how u need to be able to do different things with the information in the syllabus to be able to smash those paper 2 questions

like I'd rather start making my own notes after understanding stuff from 2-3 sources

and then I'd head to past QP's and start solving them (timed) without MS help

and then use the MS for review

I mean thats kinda my plan, in the qp stage rn
