Dw about the grade threshold. Stop pondering about the FM thresholds. MJ is a different variant for a reason. Your months of hardwork will pay off. If you get your expected results, congrats. If not, still congrats but don't lose hope. Alevels are more important as they determine the Unis you get into.

I don't know ab physics and comp sci but for math I wouldn't recommend buying textbooks. You can find their pdfs online and it's advised to not depend on the textbook. When first learning the concept you can use it to learn the basics and get a grasp of the chapter but then you shld move onto pastpapers as paper qs and textbook qs are different.

A level is categorized into AS (1st yr) and A2 (2nd yr). You sit for 2 papers in each yr but depends on the subject. And since ur doing physics I recommend choosing M1 instead of S2 for math. Uni's check the final A level grade which is the combination of AS + A2 grades

I don't understand the paper numbers and variants and how the whole thing works, Especially for mathematics and science.

okay so if you are doing igcse then; in mathematics papers 1 and 3 are core papers and papers 2 and 4 are extended papers. similarly in sciences, papers 1,3,5 are core, and 2,4,6 are extended

you are mostly likely giving the extended version, that is what most of the schools opt for so in math u will be giving paper 2 and paper 4

paper 2 is your non calculator paper for igcse math and paper 4 is ur calculator paper

in sciences, paper 2 is your mcq paper, paper 4 is your theory paper, and paper 6 is your atp/alternative to practical paper

you will also notice that papers arent just called paper 2, its called paper 21, 22, or 23, so basically those are the 3 different variants of each paper. ur school chooses which variant u will give. its just 3 different papers of the same type basically

most common is variant 1 and variant 2

Personally, in IGCSE’s past papers are a fantastic way of active recall, doing one paper type weekly per subject or topical questions can really help to keep the knowledge at the tips of your fingers at all times

Flash cards, i stopped making them back in 9th as it took a lot of time making physical copies but online versions are really good and i highly recommend those

just go to google and search for example ''cambridge syllabus document biology igcse'' and you will find it, make sure u open the syllabus document for the year you will be appearing for your exam

Which type(s) of graph specifically?

Because if its a bar graph u don't need to plot just draw lines where the range/ value is. If its a line graph and the question asks for line of best fit, then you plot the points as is and draw a straight line passing through all the points that are in alignment and leave out the anomalous (odd) points. If your drawing a curve say for cumulative graph then as the line graph, you will plot your points then draw a smooth accurate curve. Make sure your using a sharp pencil and a ruler for straight lines.

Also if the question ask to plot the values say from a table of values; you should do that. If the data is discrete (discontinuous) then plot it as it is. If the values are continuous then find a suitable range or multiple to graph in the x and y-axis.

That's about all the advice I can give, need anymore with a specific q share it with me and I'll try to help.

Uh usually British curriculum schools just offer o levels/IGCSE/GCSE for year 10-11 and a levels for year 12-13

If people aren't taking a levels after finishing o levels they probably changed to a different curriculum, or they register for something seen equivalent to A level, like the IBDP

Usually not offered by their school, there are some rare cases where the IBDP is offered in British schools tho

You can search a level equivalents that your school offers, because UK-based universities usually want you to take a levels or something equivalent to it

As someone taking both , AP is harder for STEM

I'm not too sure about non STEM subjects

There are 4 AP physics courses and they are all individually harder than a level physics.
AP chem is harder than a level chem
AP bio is slightly more difficult than a level bio (close)
AP computer science A is more difficult than a level computer science, however AP computer science principles is easier than a level computer science

And all AP math courses (AP calc AB, AP calc BC, AP stats, AP precalc) are individually alot harder than regular a level maths, and are slightly harder than a level further matha

I'm purely talking about the difficulty of the content for the courses, so I'm not taking into account factors like workload, harsh grading , etc because those are very variable depending on your teachers

For my own purposes, I've already previously ranked the courses in terms of content difficulty, so for Ap and A level stem courses this is what the difficulty ranking looks like,

AP physics 1 is easy dw , it is harder than a level physics content wise, but AP physics 1 focuses purely on mechanics and fluids, while a level covers much more content

Like I said the only truly difficult ones are AP chem and AP physics C electricity & magne

AP chemistry is hard , but it only covers physical chemistry topics and doesn't cover organic.

So AP physics 1 goes in more depth than a level physics but has less content,
AP chemistry goes in more depth than a level chemistry, but has less content

By the way I think taking AP physics 1 is a bad idea. Colleges want calculus based physics not algebra based, AP physics 1 is algebra based physics.

It's a much better option to take AP physics C mechanics, it's harder but better for application purposes and credit

You do need to have Calculus knowledge, you can take AP calculus AB which is pretty easy. Harder than a level maths content wise but still very manageable
