How do I improve my chess?
This guide applies to 100-2400 rating.

1. Play plenty of games, at a pace where you feel comfortable.
   Below 800, this should be 15+10 or slower. Below 1500, 10+0 or slower.
   Bullet in particular can form bad habits.
   Also, use your time; anyone can lose, but you must never be in a losing position without having carefully thought through every move.

2. Analyze these games (at least all losses + draws). Name three reasons why you lost a game, e.g. Blocked in my own bishop in the opening, played way too fast until the position was decided, missed their royal fork.
   It's much better to analyze with a coach or other players at a higher or roughly the same level.
   Time management (see point 1) should be part of any analysis.

One way to find people to analyze with is joining the study-voice voice channel in this discord server and just streaming your (and other people's) analysis!

3. Slow puzzles (where you take between 1 and 15 minutes per puzzle) help your calculation skills. You can simply do puzzles on https://www.chess.com/puzzles/rated , or a Puzzle Rush Survival.

4. Fast puzzles help your pattern recognition. Puzzle Rush 3 minute or Puzzle Battle are great for that.

5. Theoretical study of positional and other principles.

But the problem is I switched from the regular opening after year 4 and got into the bird’s opening and for a while I only played that and everything just made sense in life
