i understand Joel is the main character but if anyone got what was coming to them, it was Joel
the whole point of the story moving forward is that there are no good and bad guys. just decisions and consequences
like, joel senselessly murdered her father + 18 other people and robbed the world of a potential vaccine. there’s no way they weren’t gonna hunt him down and kill him, there is just no story to tell without that happening

Valid, but if not for ellie arriving, abby really would have still kept torturing him until he just died. And I understand him dying, just the sheer hate act by abby isn't what joel deserved tho. He did what he did, and like you said, no good or bad guys, and I don't think ellie should kill abby as that would just continue the cycle, but I do hope in some form or way, abby gets it.
I am now itching to play part 2 lmao. Never got around to playing that.

there’s no real way to tell until we get to the end
they’re telling the story in a completely different format
like at this point in the game we still have no idea who abby is or what her motivations are. you learn all of that after playing as her for most of the second act

yea she was only listed as a guest star for episode 1 and 2, we probably won’t see her again until maybe the finale
even then idk, i really don’t think an abby-centric season would work for most people so i have no idea how they’re gonna change the way they tell the story
like in the game, you start off absolutely hating her bc of what she did and then it suddenly puts you in her shoes, makes you play her backstory then you empathize with her more. but in the show we already know most of that, so i’m not sure they can make the audience eventually come around to love Abby just by seeing the things we already know. video games are more effective that way bc you actually experience the story from the character’s POV but TV is a bit different. i have faith they’ll still pull it off well tho, this is one of my all time favorite stories across any medium and so far the show has only made it better
