Won't let me control a pig without carrot on a stick with the piggy trinket used

did you make sure to activate the trinket in the Trinket GUI? I just tested it in single player and it works without issue.

your Control Menu, then search for Trinket

assign a keybind to the GUI

#

then open the GUI and select the trinkets you want to have active

I am assuming you didnt realize you need to select which trinkets to have active
