Occasionally when someone dies on the server with the phylactery charm, they get the death screen pop up instead of teleporting back to spawn from lethal damage but the server doesn't actually register them dying, so they don't generate a grave either despite getting the death screen. They end up losing all their items and I would have to rollback to a backup. Does anyone know why this is happening and if there is a way to prevent it?
The log and debug log of the most recent incident have been attached. It happened sometime between the backup starting (01:25) and the server shutting down (01:33).
For reference, this has happened twice so far, both within one or two days of each other. The logs provided are of the second incident and the player in question is Awesome_sauss. Meanwhile, the server has already been up since April 30th, and no huge changes have been made to the server for over a week. Here are the only changes made since the inception of the server:
- Inclusion of two mods: Simple Voice Chat (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/simple-voice-chat) and Target Dummy (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/mmmmmmmmmmmm)
- server.properties edited
- ftbbackups-common.toml edited to increase compression level to 9, while # of backups kept at 10 and max backup folder size at 50 GB
- oreexcavation configs edited
In the case of the first incident, it happened after a player dealt lethal damage to another player. The second incident happened after a player died to a monster near him. In both instances, the players were in the overworld, teleported back to their spawn points, received the death screen, and clicked on respawn just to respawn with no grave key in their inventories. Meanwhile, the server also didn't announce their deaths. This also reflected in the console and the logs as no message appeared that related to their deaths.
