My friend and I have had issues where our weapons will randomly disappear when fighting mobs. it's happened twice so far in approx. 70 hours of gameplay. we haven't been able to find a correlation between certain mobs besides that they may have been 'orange' difficulty mobs. mine was fighting in the ice and fire dreadnaught dungeon, his was near our base. If there is any other information needed please let me know and I will try to get it.

enchatned or unenchanted?
heavily enchanted
both weapons?
all 3 now, yes, all enchanted. but not with the same enchantments on each
no encahnt that was on all of them ?
in paticular
and were they full durabillity?
all 3 were very near full durability. 1 had mending, 1 had ender mending, and the last was the enchanted sword from ars nouveau which heals over time.
and we don't remember what was on the ars nouveau sword, but the other two weapons were very similar in enchants
we're pretty sure this is what the second weapon had. the 3rd had all of that without ender mending and had regular mending, and only vorpal 1 and focus impact 3
ares grace increases durabillity use
but not by alot
should not instantly delete weapons
that was our thought as well
hmmm maths?
were the enemies high hp and the weapons high damage?
yes, orange level monsters and they were high damage
Should be between 2-6 extra durability per hit with normal use iirc. Tho vorpal throws off a lot of things
@junior kiln question does ares grace have a limit for how much durabillity it will take?
no but the fact it has log in it means it cant go beyond ~27
alright
thinking about it that way and with the calculation we think it may be ares grace and vorpal. 2 of the 3 weapons were an iron club and a stoneguard club from atum which only have 250 and 160 durability
vorpal doesnt consume durability and ares grace cant take more than 27
we weren't aware that it ares grace could affect it to that degree, but with vorpal possibly adding to it, it could have maybe been that
ohhh nevermind, we're re-stumped. lol!
Vorpal multiplies damage and isn’t the durability loss from ares based off how much damage you deal? CurrentHealthDamage?
C
A
N
T
int limit to log is around 27
if not 31
but not even 40
Oh yeah we’re on the same page cool, didn’t wait for all the edits
To clarify vorpal wasn’t adding to the durability loss directly but since it multiplied your damage, ares grace took more durability due to that formula, and it likely broke without you realizing
22 durability is the max
what weapon exactly
first was ars nouveau enchanters sword, then an iron club from atum, and a stonegaurd club from atum
second report of this and still no closer to finding the cause
we'll update if it happens again or we notice similarities. we're both running instant reply on nvidia in case it happens again
