#RAD2 | Add Ftb Chunks and FTB Essentials

Is there an alternative, currently, for grief prevention/claiming in the pack?
Apologies, new to the pack so unsure re: terminology like "portal method"?
Portal method refers to the vanilla minecraft way of chunk loading
And no there is not
Alternatively, you can add these mods to your server and the clients and it will work fine
I mean, i'm requesting this more on behalf of my server members than anything, as they pointed out they were uneasy at their being no grief prevention basically, so we added both.
Yeah we did, I just see them as two nigh-essential functionalities in MP so thought it might be worth suggesting here.
The thing with ftb chunks is that it allows for easy chunk loading which is really cheaty in this pack, and a new way of chunk loading is coming in the future so ftb chunks would just render that useless
And second thing is that this pack was made for the SP experience and the MP aspect hasn't been worked on at all yet
can be said about any thing added or feature removed/ disabled
rad 2 is very not server balanced or friendly
True
I know there are some alternative mods
out there
that have you pay items to protect chunks
That could be something to look at In the future when the MP balancing starts
If it does
RAD 2 is a singleplayer pack first
^
I mean, for what it's worth - I think focusing on the SP experience is valid, but providing the ability for MP servers to run smoothly should be equally valid. I would assume most players are not in single player, but on servers?
quite the opposite
and its easy for a server owner to add on own and setup
i might be misrembering but i belive that setting is in the server config which is a non standard file type to the other server configs so it isnt auto copied from the default configs
going to say it again, way too easy to bypass any types of grief prevention in modded
just don't build at spawn
i mean it can be nice to at least slow down greifing or at least mildly inconvenience it but ya
the only thing it helps with grief wise would be creepers in your base... but proper lighting fixes that
other than that its not stopping diddly
or slowing it down
It is nice for the visual of what your chunk loading though
or even the creepo trinket
Or haven
