so there is an "issue" with the scroll of ageless wisdom.

pretty much an item where you can either deposit or withdraw level from it.

problem is its really slow at high levels, it took me multipul hours of ideling to drain my xp into it.

so my idea is to build a mod that adds a better version of said item

the first thing i want to know is weather or such an item would actauly be accepted into the pack, cause i don't want to build it if it wont fit/be used

the idea for the item is a either replacement or upgrade to the scroll of ageless wisdom that allows the player to open a gui to select one of 3 things.

  • store all xp
  • store no xp
  • keep me at level: x

store all xp will just remove all xp the player gets and stores it in the item.

store no xp will just not store any xp, and dump all the xp the scroll has to the player

keep me at level X will allow the player to choose a level (lets say 30 for instance)

and the scroll will absorb/give xp to keep the player at said level.

most importantly it does so in a single go, instead of taking 100,000 ticks if you have 100,000 xp.

it also allows you to use the xp more efficently. (like the scroll already does)

pretty simple idea

so my question is @sinful venture does this seem reasonable, and like a good item for the pack?

if not, is there anyway you would want it tweaked so it would fit?

(aslo maybe i could figure out a way to use a mod to fix the lunchbox items from SOL and enable crafting honey blocks from the bottlers, so you dont have to mauly uncraft each honey bucket)

sol:potato is opensourse, and listed under GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1. so i dont believe any income generated from the mod would have to be given to the original creator. (im not even sure how you would generate income from a mod in the first place either)

all the mods in the pack have to be hosted via cruseforge right? im not sure how the modpack is assembled

yes, all mods have to be on CurseForge
OR you communicate with the CF Admins and get the mod added to the third-party list, but this is not happening as the mod already exists and forks with not enough changes wont be permitted

And there are no other methods of storing exp?

Mod sounds reasonable. I need to look what we have for 1.18/1.19 version

there is technicaly backpacks which can store xp, but not large/unlimted amounts of it.
