#Xbox Series X - Eternity Edition: Stuck on Title Screen

Hi all, I'm relatively deep into the game and when trying to start up a new session of the game on Xbox Series X, no button inputs seem to work on the title screen and I can no longer advance to loading my save. I've tried multiple controllers as well as removing the save file from my console (but keeping a cloud backup) and I fear my only option is to delete my save and start all over again. Is this a known issue/is there anything that can be done to salvage my playthrough?

Hi!

My guess is that
that your save might have corrupted the game's progression system. These sort of errors can occur if closing down game during saving (writing down data into file).

I don't think there is a way to salvage your save unfortunately as we can't extract your save and modify it.

I've notified Blitwork which is the publishers of xbox version about it so we note down if other players get similar errors.

Thanks for responding! I kind of feared that and can't remember if I had mistakenly closed the game while saving or if it crashed but oh well, guess I'll have to use this as an excuse to start a new playthrough

If it is any consolidation this is the first time we have gotten this report for the Xbox so this bug is quite rare.

(fyi: We have also taken more precaution about this sort of stuff for Everhood 2 with proper prompts like a AAA game + with some extra buffer time to avoid potential save corruption.)

@regal mango We are trying to reproduce the problem. Meanwhile, please try turning off the console completely, and then launching the game with only one controller connected.

Hi I’m having the same issue, my brother booted the game on Xbox series x and cannot even begin to play it, no button inputs work when trying to select the language, we tried to quit it and reinstall it to no avail.
