Mercury VR attitude controls mixed up

It appears that roll and yaw side stick controls are mixed up in the mercury capsule when using a VR controller to move the sticks. Twisting the stick is supposed to induce yaw but instead it causes the capsule to roll, rolling the stick left or right is supposed to induce roll but instead it causes the capsule to yaw. I haven’t tested it myself, but another user reports the same behaviour in the Gemini capsule.
