Every person should apply for their favorable station and if it is possible an alternative station. So we can recompose the roles if a more critical station is not manned at the time.

#

we will start from the ingame PDI scenario, to avoid any bugs from ours that we used last time

native thicket
#

I'll try to show up-dunno what spot I'll take tho

worn sigil
#

I haven't done multiplayer before, am I welcome? Anything I should brush up on in advance?

desert burrow
#

you are! We frequently take first timers. What to brush up on depends on the position but you should have a general knowledge of both Apollo spacecraft

worn sigil
#

Define "general knowledge"

I'm a massive space nerd and could probably answer a lot of trivia but I just got this game and haven't played through the whole apollo campaign yet, so the switch-by-switch knowledge isn't there

astral gazelle
#

capcom 🖐️

#

thanks pdi

desert burrow
#

switch by switch is not necessary, but you should know at least a bit about each system

worn sigil
#

Ok, I've read the whole apollo game manual

astral gazelle
#

we not using the csm

desert burrow
#

that's enough to get started yeah

astral gazelle
#

read the LM

desert burrow
#

but read the LM one too yes

astral gazelle
#

that would help better for the PDI mission

#

@versed sierra no hard feelings m8

#

i might let u take it if im no feeling it that day

nimble wolf
#

he wont be on for a while he said

astral gazelle
#

i forgot

#

@nimble wolf @glad temple u wanna go on reserved capcom?

#

cuz idk if i can tmmr

#

i have exam the day after

nimble wolf
#

I will take pretty much any station im just letting others get to pick what they want

astral gazelle
#

aight

#

ill send a message tmr if i cant make it

#

most likely i can

glad temple
#

Ooooh too bad I thought there was nothing planned for this weekend. I booked something tomorrow 😢

astral gazelle
#

damn

languid wyvern
#

Can I be booster? It's my first time and I want to do something that isn't important.

astral gazelle
#

it literally useless for a PDI mission

languid wyvern
#

I know, I kinda just want to observe without being able to screw anything up

desert burrow
#

try TELMU. It will be relevant, but screwups will not be catastrophic

#

you'll need to have a basic knowledge of the LM environmental and electrical systems

astral gazelle
#

how many ppl we got

#

cuz i might not join

desert burrow
#

only you and I are officially signed atm

languid wyvern
#

I've landed a few times, but I always just followed the checklist

desert burrow
#

which is when the session should start lol

#

let's just call this then, my fault for forgetting to make a post until yesterday

native thicket
#

we got 3 ppl in voice PDI-you sure you wanna call it?

desert burrow
#

Oh, we do? Didn't notice, sorry

#

The start time snuck up on me haha

#

I have relatives over, so not the best timing for me (I didn't know about this yesterday sorry)

#

so I will not be joining, but if yall want to find another astro and land go right ahead!

astral gazelle
#

im still on the moon

desert burrow
#

in what way lol

astral gazelle
#

we trolled yesterday in MOCR and the whole mission when straight into a troll one

native thicket
#

which mission should we launch @desert burrow

desert burrow
#

I was planning on the premade PDI scenario, to avoid any glitches in ours

native thicket
#

he's launching powered descent and lunar landing

teal flame
#

If I spectate (presumably watch in the viewing room or something), can I still be allowed in the call? I want to see if I can learn things both about the LM and MOCR.

astral gazelle
#

just go

#

its not a big deal

#

their all there to learn

native thicket
#

is this a bug? @lofty karma @desert burrow

#

@lofty karma could you join voice chat?

astral gazelle
#

but no its normally not like that

native thicket
#

bat 6 ran outta power due to LEM getting into 44 NM orbit and CSM in 14 NM. We put CSM into 50 and got TPI of 109 hrs. LGC isn't powering back up which is fun

timid plover
#

And here's what it looked like in the LM

#

To be clear, mission control was showing the reverse amps values for CDR bus and LMP bus.

#

Great MOCR session for me, though. First time as Astro. Sorry for that moment at the end where I fat-fingered a timescale key and blew the docking when the approach was looking perfect. I have lots of thoughts on the bugs we found, but mainly just hoping we can resolve that unplanned, automatic (and very low orbit) circularization of the CSM orbit. My guess is that there's something in the "script" that triggers a circularization sometime between LM staging and completion of P12. Kind of makes sense that it would want the CSM orbit to be circular before the LM attempted a Hohmann transfer since such a transfer would be difficult to calculate (or maybe impossible) with an eccentric orbit. It also makes sense that the orbit ended up at 14.5 nm since this would have been around the time of LM staging and ascent. The clear workaround is to request a circularization of the CSM orbit very early in the mission. Hoping maybe in future some kind of warning would be provided, either at Request Ascent or Request CDI (CSI?).

worn sigil
#

Could it have had something to do with the bus sources being set to "backup"?

timid plover
#

I wouldn't think so. This is about channel 44 in mission control matching the power monitor in the LM. I can't see a scenario where it's ok for them to disagree.

worn sigil
#

Dumb question but does that gauge meter the bus or the battery
