#Playing custom ogg file in mission editor
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I think it's in the same folder as the custom mission file, but I'm not sure how it should be referenced in it
I have tried this, but I will give it another try
@untold sierra
try with a wav file or mp3, can't remember what file formats the mission editor supported. The file should be relative to the mission file
I thought it was ogg but not mp3
yeah I mean if ogg does not work
!jukebox
To add a file to the jukebox in ReEntry place a .ogg or .wav file in either the CustomMusic folder.
Alternatively, if you want to create a separate tape, create a folder named after the album within the CustomMusic folder, and put the file(s) in that.
The CustomMusic folder is found in:
Steam (Windows): %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Wilhelmsen Studios\ReEntry
Microsoft Store (Windows): %appdata%\..\Local\Packages\37806WilhelmsenStudios.ReEntry-AnOrbitalSimulator_akeytc0kfv8xy\
^That at least is OGG or WAV
and I'm assuming the support isn't different for missions
yeah I remember the jukebox is ogg, but I also remember there was some differences with the mission editor (it was written way before the Jukebox logic)
thanks, I will give it a try
I have tried the mp3 and wav files, but I had no succes.....
I understand this has not the highest priority, but to be clear what I am doing:
according to this, it should be an ogg file
Yeah
Could you screenshot the directory?
XXX\Wilhelmsen Studios\ReEntry\CustomMissions\Apollo
This is the location from the screenshot
could you send me the test1.ogg file?
That's mine collection of apollo 8 launch sounds
!log also perhaps
Reentry uses the following log-files: Player.log, Player-prev.log
These are stored in:
Steam (Windows): %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Wilhelmsen Studios\ReEntry
Microsoft Store (Windows): %appdata%\..\Local\Packages\37806WilhelmsenStudios.ReEntry-AnOrbitalSimulator_akeytc0kfv8xy\
If you cannot see the AppData folder, tick the ‘hidden items’ option in the file explorer
yeah, just want to test to create a mission using it
try to change the mission so that the file name is test1.ogg instead
it works over here at least
(using my own .ogg file)
will try yours
It seems there is something wrong with your .ogg file
I can play it, but its not correctly encoded or something
how did you create the file?
Do you have WSL2?
I'll check myself
@untold sierra Looks like it's OGG/FLAC

I got the ogg file from the website: https://archive.org/details/Apollo8/049-AAA.wav
The Apollo 8 mission. Audio files coming soon... Digitized, cataloged and archived by the Houston Audio Control Room, at the NASA Johnson Space Center.
And I trimmed it with the computer program HD video converter factory program
These are the output settings
What encoder-options do you have?
You could try Audacity, its great, free and very popular
Select Vorbis
This is the correct for Reentry
ahhh
Ogg vorbis
