I just came back to the game after the patch and i find the controls really hard to navigate now. Before the patch when you pressed A you entered the “choose the card to act” and could see each card and their ranges and stuff. Now the card you have selected is tied to the movement and you cant freely choose the cards. You can circumvent this by awkwardly pressing a direction and the a button simultaneously but you risk wasting an AP. I tried to record it to better illustrate my problem. If you need any more info ill be glad to provide it

did you enter the training room and immediately tried to cast?
did you cast a card before this issue appeared?
and also, does restarting the game solves the issue?
I was unable to reproduce it on my switch, so getting this information might help a lot to understand what is happening

Sorry, i didnt get the notification! It has happened twice, both times just after starting the game. Once in a map (i believe it was the fire one) and once in the training room. Next time i booted the game, it ran perfectly doing the same thing so it must be something behind the scenes

Okay, I will ask some additional questions to help pinpoint the problem:
1 - Did you cast any card before this happened, or did the issue appear as soon as the dungeon loaded? In the video, it looks like you might have cast a card before recording (there are only 4 cards in hand, but cards remain in your library). If you did cast a card, can you remember which one it was?
2 - Which curio are you equipping, if any?
3 - Is this an old save or a new one? If it's an old save, when was it last loaded? Did you last play when the game was released and return now, or were you playing the latest version before the update?
4 - Could you please screenshot the game version on the title screen? The one with the Tower in the background.
5 - Did this happen both times while playing in handheld mode? Does your Switch have any hardware/software customization? This might be triggering a sequence of bugs leading to this issue.

1-i noticed as i was trying to cast for the first time the first time it happened. After that i resetted and went into the training room, the bug persisted so i tried casting a spell to see if that fixed it, but no luck. After that i closed the game and opened again and everything was fine.

3- this is my original save that ive been playing since release. Last time i played before the update was probably 2 days before the update? At most a week. It hasnt happened again since i made the report, been playing every day for an hour or so to see if it triggers again
5-Handheld mode only. No customizations, OLED model switch

I see! I think you already have a great lead. Just checking, but don’t worry if not. Do you remember the card you were casting when the bug first occurred? The one that was cast before you tried to cast again and the bug happened.
