get to the webpage, then select play now and it immediately goes to the error above and keeps refreshing over and over

Does a beta exists? website still states "coming soon" but there is this on the website

Yes, i'm in the beta but i dont see a channel specifically for it

When I clicked play free now it opened a pop up window to download the installer, maybe you have popups blocked?
