This is an issue with the client applying faction efficiency bonuses incorrectly, leading to understated costs for resources and materials. The error in this case is likely from tritanium, as both the Federation and Klingon efficiency bonuses will be included in that number and could lead to a relatively large stated reduction, which is obviously wrong (other costs will be higher than stated in client also though). The server however has the right calculation and will take the correct amount, or if you don't have enough it will cause this error instead.

It is possible, but I think that's less likely. There's two issues with efficiency that can cause this issue, 1 is incorrect faction efficiency overapplying (which is a thing again since this update), which for tritanium can be as much as 200% too much efficiency. The other is rounding with the ones that have n.5% steps. Given that ore efficiency is for the Augur and that the efficiency bonus displayed is 21% ore vs 140% for tritanium, I'm inclined to think tritanium is more likely of the two.

The real life comparison doesn’t work like you guys seem to think it does. QA is incumbent on the developer.
If a player sees an event populate, they should evaluate the rewards and decide if it is worth the cost and effort. It should not be their responsibility to assess whether the event was intentional. That isn't the game.

If players request directive refunds for directives spent within those 30 minutes, they should be honored.

If that's where we are, you're actually impugning the developer far more than I am.

If they won't (or as you assert, shouldn't) refund directives, then they can issue everyone who spend directives while the event was up the median rewards for their bracket from the SLB.

This is different than officer xp or ship xp. These are rare and epic directives. 200 rare directives works out to over $16. It's prudent for a player to wait to spend these directives until it is most impactful. A player sitting on directives may well say, "hey, a damage klingon armadas SLB, a damage armadas-spend directives SLB running concurrently? this is the moment".

But sure, guy goes into your store buys a $16 item with a sign up that says "buy one get two extra items", give them only one extra item, and when they complain, respond with "What, you believed the sign?"

They even wrote in description that we are on the same side we were in last arc which should be obvious. Why would you assign everyone a random side? What could be argued about it whether we should have an event in the beginning of arc to let us swap again. But tbh I wouldn't vote to have such event because it was clear that we get another duality (kli/rom) event and the story continues. It's all just common sense..

In this latest even I think the people on the romulan part where screwed as opposed to the Klingon route as the next even gives points for getting Klingon credits that were claimed from placing in previous event. For example I was on romulan path so when I claimed my rewards this morning after the new event started they didn’t count in the new Klingon house event. Now these are assumptions but if someone was on the Klingon path and were awarded Klingon points and claimed them after the house event started they would count. I could be wrong but based on the current points scored by the leaders in this new event there has to be a source of large amounts of points I’m unaware of.

I don't see these events any more (ever since building the Jelly from BPs gained from Epic chests), but on my server (#188, about 22 months old) there were only 2 places paid out.

you only see the jelly event if you are ops 38+ and haven't built the jelly yet. you could actually participate and win as many jelly events you like as long as you don't build it. Same goes for stella skin. If you get it you won't see the event anymore. That's actually a good mechanic since I can bet there would be people not getting the jelly or redeeming the skin to annoy other people trying to win in the lb's. we actually have one on our server that has more than enough for 3+ jellys but doesn't build one for some reason 😄

You are of course entitled to your opinion as well, but that does not magically make it 'nobody likes it'. Territory owners pretty much universally hated it. The remaining 85-90% of large servers certainly had a different view. Those on smaller servers where territory has not been an issue seemed generally indifferent.

It's not a perfect event by any means, but at least it didn't just hand the winners spot to the same alliances like every single other territory event has done.

Well, that's the way it's worked since the battlepass first came out.
In fact the only way to complete the missions events in the beginning was buying the mission keys or buying bp points

but normally you get more time to complete the event after receiving the keys and so you can plan out more when you do these missions

Now most only had 1 evening with shitloads of other events to do AND a day before it would end, they reset the event and gave it 10 extra days (I saw it, unfortunately I didn't screenshot.. cause i didn't think the next they it would be different).. and then the next day the event was ended.. So where have those 10 days gone to actually be able to complete the missions in a decent way..

also, that "fix" was only for that specific instance and may not work if you see that error message again. Some faction efficiency research is falsely applying to the cost listed for your component upgrade. The trit cost is higher than what is listed, so the suggestion increased your stockpile to cover the real cost. Sometimes though, the problem is a higher mat cost than what is listed, and for that you'd need to increase your mat stockpile.

bad idea to adjust it based on its level, we are a 20-man alliance and are on par with most big alliances when it comes to level. But we can't compete activity wise cause we're only 20-man and 16-man is pretty active. Top alliances mostly have 90% activity of 70-80 members

Build a wide roster of crew, that's what they are pushing for.

I still get over 50% success for most uc missions using the cadets 🤣

Putting officers on 3-4 ships to max them out for PvP, frankly use more or less all my epic and rares, then with the special ones, notably for mining, there's not much left.. Only below deck dredge

But, I still think the BP events should be easier to complete and not require prior planning. 15-30 minutes events that all can complete.

The other arc events can be harder. ATA event should be an arc event, not BP imo

Most players don't do many ATA, this is heavy handed manipulation by scopely to force players to do them
