Can folks help me out please? I'm going to push to Ops 34 during Son of Mogh, and will be able to finally build my Augur. I want to build my ship and tier it when I'll get points for doing it. I've never gotten Military Supremacy before, so not even going to consider that an option. However, I know that Crucible of War and Faction Hunt pay rewards for ship building/upgrading, I just cannot remember which one does which. Does anyone here know with 100% certainty what scoring metrics the two events have?

In my opinion, spend the mats for the Son of Mogh event. Keeping a ship build for COW or FH is a waste. Far better to use them towards an epic officer you’ll have forever than some trit & crystal events you get every month anyway

There is a Ship XP event in approx 31hrs that pays out in Ultra recruit (and premium recruit) tokens, and the same again 24h later.

There is a Station event in 8h time that pays out the same, and another 6h after.

We have NEVER had a Recruit Ultra Chest only event. It has always been based on receiving recruits - through all chests.

station events you just do one gun. you can do other stuff, but god you have to upgrade half your station to complete it. Research events i try to plan out something that has the power needed to complete it on one research.

I used the defence platforms to win station slb events at lower levels but as you progress it just becomes too expensive to make f2p sense

I build them for these events in stead because there's no risk, and you only need 1 to win (so fewer speedups required). Alternatively you can keep one building in the background (even better if you have a 2nd builder) and pop it when the event arrives.

The rewards include 1320 ultra tokens, which if I'm not mistaken is about half of the slb rewards, but you're not winning that event with 2 defense platforms anyway

but I had a stroke of luck. I levelled up after the event begun, going to lvl37. so I had 4 extra I could build. now I figure I'm out of slb anyways, as the bracket is strong

The pvp in this game favors the wallet warriors so that not worth it. Surprised you did not have a ticketed event to tie the rom event into something else. I'm f2p, mostly. Sort of. I will buy ships and monthly battle passes. I save my speedups, RSS, mats, lat, recruits, ship and officer XP, etc for events. I LVL up according to events as well in order to get rewards for spending any recruits, RSS and so on. Keeps a steady flow of inventory. I can complete all events on most occasions. So whomever complained to make this change, you are now my arch nemesis! Lol just kidding but why you complaining about this?! 😭

Point is, play better. Use the events and leaderboards to dictate when you spend RSS, mats, speedups, XP and so on. Play smart. Stop complaining if you're 100% f2p on the best app game developed so far, glitches and all.

Well, a fine piece of advice would be save everything and spend it when there's events to reward you for spending your inventory. Don't even open officer recruit chests until an event is up that pays out for opening said chests. If you complete every bp day then you get the excess bp rewards which is recruit tokens and lat. You don't need to buy the extra battle pass, you can achieve this fully f2p. Don't use them until the next bp starts and get yourself on the recruit leaderboards/auctions.

but my critique of using daily events to garner recruit tokens...it's double-edged sword. either you use defense platforms and "waste" all those extra power points (not using on a SLB, or other point event), or you have to upgrade a bunch of 500-2000 power increase buildings to get all the tokens - which is basically the same as spending mats/speedups in the original event

though the change to ultra recruit was a really bad timing for me, right after a leaderboard I participated and 2 recruit dailies. I have no problem admitting I cannot finish 10 pulls for this event and I'm kind of bitter they pulled it before I could experience the bug.
We'll see what comes from it - will probably just not get that "free2play" officer until the next event shop I guess.

Commanders, URGENT EVENT INFO, READ BEFORE DOING ANYTHING:

This morning a technical bug resulted in the Heart of Stonn Recruiting Event to not score properly. The ultra recruit chest was pulled to quickly investigate and implement a fix. In the 13 min that the chest was up, some players were able to complete this event.

Scopely has now relaunched the Ultra Recruit Chest, and you'll notice your milestones have been raised to complete the Recruiting Event. It was a faster fix to do this than change the scoring metric. While a chest was intended to award 150 points, it was awarding 1650 points per chest, so they have raised the milestones by 10, and left the scoring metric in place.

FOR ALL PLAYERS, milestones have been updated. The event can now be completed for rewards/shards/points towards the meta.

FOR PLAYERS who completed this event during it's 13 minute run, you have already claimed all rewards. TAKE NOTE, that this event, AND IT'S MILESTONES ARE THE SAME, and if you complete it 'AGAIN' you WILL NOT GET DOUBLE POINTS/SHARDS/REWARDS. Even though the milestones show "incomplete" you will not get anything additional and players WILL not have any bonus shards or points towards the meta.

This is not a bonus opportunity. So for those of you who completed this event already, do not ask for compensation or rewards for doing it again. it will not come.
