I can’t believe they were like ‘(really?)’ and shocked you might have bought the premium battle pass because you saw the g4 rare gas included...like we don’t read and review what they’re offering for the cost of each pack or offer...when the battle pass was put up, most people look through what was being offered at each level to see if the rewards were worth the cost OR if they were regular premium battle pass purchasers, what goodies they were getting with their usual purchase...

To them, the overall BP rewards are carefully calculated and represent an overarching value, and a prime being available in the battle pass is very generous (and it is based on previous primes). But to players, one prime reigns supreme and this looked like a more economical way to obtain that prime. I don't think he was so much questioning that people wanted the rares as perhaps trying to learn more about how the rest of us assess value.

I would look at it as an opportunity to provide better insight from players as to what we look for and define as value.

however... i do agree that if it something that you are upset about you should take the steps you feel necessary through the appropriate channels

ya I've heard that here, the 'Bonus points can take upto an hour' line, but in my personal experience, hard restart 'pulls' them from the server correctly. its just an active client might not see them until a 'refresh' cycle.

I'm not sure what math was used for this then. Under the old scoring, a lat miner like mine would pull roughly 5K an hour on a basic node without RoboTribble. That's 125K points an hour which means I could reach the old top threshold in maybe 8-9 hours with lat (you know for LAT rush). Now, that same ship brings in 25K points an hour which means it takes 50 hours to reach the new top threshold amount (which also went up) I don't think a few extra G3 points comes close to balancing the time difference there.

Re: auction events for this week, to provide a bit more info:
We had to push the auction events because of couple of internal constraints on our end . We were officially off today for MLK day but now working to push/replace them so it isn't ideal on our end either.
That being said, in the grand schemes of things, we believe it is actually a win-win scenario for everyone: these auction events will run again in 2 weeks and in addition we added 4 rescue events which provide even more opportunity for extra shards (including Kirk and Spock).
Not the best timing to do it a day before the event is supposed to go live but the extra 4 rescue events should make up for the 2 weeks delay (hopefully).

Sorry mate, but it’s really not good enough. Many like myself on new servers just don’t have the fire power to compete with whales on PvP events so they are no use to us whatsoever. What we can do is plan well and strategically round the event calendars that you provide at the beginning of an arc. So no, it’s not win-win, it only really benefits P2P on my server and trashes the well laid out plans from people who have planned well. It needs a real rethink of how you stick to what’s advertised, especially so soon after many bought the battle pass for the rare 4* only for that to be changed, too. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but this kind of thing just drives people away and sows a lot of ill-feeling and frustration.

There will be an event where servers compete against each other to see which one is merged to the other. The winning server gets to keep everything. As mentioned, we have done so in the past successfully and both servers seem mostly happy since then. don't worry though, plenty of time for that and nothing is set in stone.

my concept was along the lines of the same cost as if they were doing it themselves, just their points earned would count towards their ally that is going for the territory, defender the same, this lets the diplomacy happen and a limit 1 alliance in this role so its not exploited majorly. Coupled with the much asked for 1 v 1 alliance limit, which i do understand was the original design idea and which most understood was the way it was going to work, would help alleviate alot of the technical issues as well as make most alliances feel challenging for a territory worth while.

There definitely needs to be a way to limit alliances in tc. Right now we get 10 vs 3 and battles take 1 min if they take place at all. I had to attack a ship 5 times to get it to go once. I like the idea of allowing a maximum of 1 or 2 alliances to tag in and pay to help one of the alliances and the point go towards the alliance you’re helping instead. But there needs to be a limit so we can maybe have more 1v1v1 3 or 4 way takeover battles. We haven’t had any since all the territories got claimed

i have three different accounts on three different servers. I pay for the elite battlepass on my server 45 account. the elite battlepass was just activated on my other two accounts and i am trying to find out if Scopley did it on purpose. The amount in my googleplay account has not changed. So no unknown oopsie button pushes.

Our server is pretty dead, but I have to say the lag in territory was pretty bad even with just 2 alliances battling it out. My ships wouldn't move, the repair took ages to proc, one system became untargetable and we had to drop out of warp to get in and even then I couldn't access the system to move my ships around.

I don't mind them changing the dates, it appears as if they have thought about it and decided there may be too much going on. And they gave us a bit of warning in advance which I appreciate.

I’m all for more rewards but this is shameful and a clear lack of respect for the players. Clearly too many whales for scopely to give a damn about public image or how 98% of players see this. My T7 Salidan with PMC (Moreau is rank 3, Chen 4) was easily able to handle the 33 Klingon Invaders in the Open system for far better points. Note that I'm Ops 33, so my Open systems were Rare and Epic ships, so the PvPers ignored me since I was the wrong ship or no one wanted to PvP on my server. Have you tried your open system in hopes others are more interested in hostiles and not pvp?

Yes my open systems were level 38 so I had lvl 31, 37 and 39 hostiles. I tried botha max Saladin and tier 7 Imtrepid. Neither can kill 37 amd 39’s amd I need to kill 828 level 31s. Someone earlier mentioned armadas, but nothing in the event description seems to suggest that is going to work
