If you have 5 lvl36+ then you should have less spots compared to a server with 40 36+. That is logical way to do it fair across servers

So you get penalised if you have less people on the server? You are still spending lots of resources, but with a significantly smaller chance to get ANY bps... I understand that you could have “less competition”, because you have potentially less 36+ ... but how many times are you going to “waste” thousands of res to try and compete to then have a whale (or a player who save res/got blessed by decent refines, which is rare) swoop in and take all the bps?
It is probably one of the most frustrating event in the game (maybe Harrison?).
Also, how is it fair that lower lvs have more tiers to unlock Lorca? They have already a different leaderboard.
It’s not like you are “competing” WITH servers... you are competing WITHIN your server

Agree to disagree. I understand that if you have more people is better to give more tiers = more chances. However, for an event that requires spending res the big spenders will always have the advantage (as in most things in the game).
Now, the big spenders represent (hopefully) a small fraction of the population of the server... however, if you have less people overall, you might end up with an higher proportion of big spenders than a bigger server, therefore if you have less tiers it will mean less chances if you are competing with a big spender.
Finally, unless scopely starts proper cross-server events, you are always limited to competition in your own server, so comparison with other servers is less logical for me 😊

All servers go through that stage on my server when it was only 3 spots the 36+ players basically ignored the event until the whales had, had their fill, no point going for an event you know you can't compete in

Ultimately you need to spend more than your competition. If you can't do that don't enter them this time round. Save your resources for the next one where you'll have double the chance. I'm F2P and placed top 5 in Burnham and Georgiou auctions. It's doable but you have to plan and be prepared to sacrifice. I know I can't compete in recruit officers auctions as I don't buy recruit packs for $$ - so I never compete for those.

I thought the whole message in the last Lorca ever was "we've improved the payout" by reducing the ranges for each leaderboard. So WHY have they gone and halved the rewards for anything but 1st and 2nd place this time round? This PvP event is the best yet and still terrible. My 37-39 system has been empty since the first hour, if anyone goes there someone sends a ship they can't kill and they just warp away, wasting everyone's time. All the event leaders are just the guys that upgraded ships today. Your PvP problem is more fundamental.

@minor swan keep one ship on station, when it tells you to return to station, switch to that ship send it out 1 second and recall. That fullfills the request. Saves warp time and game time.

Most know people enjoy the rewards over the event, we relayed that some time ago when it went walkies as an event. They bundled the Faction credits into the BattlePass, we have since relayed about Ultras and XP

The main problem I see is that F2P, low and mid level spenders rely on faction hunt for the officer XP to be able to complete the domination events so by removing faction hunt a lot players are now finding domination in the battlepass impossible to complete

Well, the issue seems to be the extreme level of PvP that territory capture provokes... The event store is definitely good. My personal net so far is 5k independent credits, blueprints and parts to push Dvor to T7 from scratch, completed baby jellyfish, stella 2, and 1/2 of D3 legionary, plus a mission pack. I'm 29 ops... I think the faction miners are a skip as overpriced...

Was reviewing the in game news. Holiday events are listed there. it'll be SMS, ALB, then SLB for the holiday events. The leaderboards are all that it says gives the holiday tokens. SMS is alliance helps and contributions. The ALB is kill hostiles, damage armadas and spend directives. The SLB is level dependent 10-17 is kill hostiles, and/or upgrade ships. 18+ is earn faction points(guessing rep?) and faction credits.

I find summoning useful for Territories, Exchange armadas, PvP events, Defending bases, Hunting the hunters who look for Opl in our territory, Getting a low tier miner to a higher warp system to hold it till I finish dinner or something like that, recalling and getting my miner back to a rich lat node, instant summon to kill some player who is annoying, summoning ships back to base to reloc quickly, etc.

If you don't find summoning useful, you haven't seen it used properly. It's a game changer. As Zisconian said, don't touch the disco, just unlock summoning and then put all the rest into the warp distance research for the discovery

It's like 15k spore parts for summoning, then just work on the warp distance. Then you can turn up anywhere and bring ships which shouldn't be there.. such as dvor or an envoy if you want and just let them mine in peace

@south arrow I'm assuming you're replying to Bug Reporting. Typically what happens is that people are just overlooking something obvious, and sometimes it's an issue with the client not calculating costs properly, but you might be right. The problem though is that there's nothing to compare, and customer support would basically just tell you that everything is working A-OK. On the one that you specifically queried the difference is likely to be so small either way that you probably wouldn't notice it (If you have a very believable 260% repair cost reduction for instance, real cost reduction from base would be 72.222% and an extra 5% would make that 72.603%)
On the assumption that you don't have before and after screenshots, I believe that we can calculate the expected repair costs if you let us know the ship, tier, any component upgrades, level of dock it's in, and all of the relevant research and territory bonuses that you have in effect. Pretty sure we can get the base repair cost from LCARS then and run the numbers for a comparison, though for the sake of completeness you'd also want to look at before and after stock levels to see how much was actually taken (these don't always line up properly..)

The toast notification in this instance would be accurate only if you're the only person who's killing at the time, and you would then want to do 2 kills: 1 to ensure it's reset to the current score, 1 to show the increase. But if other people are killing at the same time 🤷‍♂️

And this is the additional points from killing a level 22 separatist just in case someone thinks that the boss health figures have too much rounding to know for sure 😴. These hostiles have 14k shield and 14k hull, my points have increased by.. 14400, which would be 14k without rounding, as opposed to 28k if shield damage was also included.
The points are consistent and within expectations based on hull damage, which is the norm.

The only variance I've ever actually seen is that sometimes the toast notification will say 3499999 or 3500001 instead of 3500000, but they're useless at the best of times.
I have never seen actual proof of points varying for these events, some people have speculated that they will vary based on overkill, but again they're very consistent in actual scores.

Considering that shields don't need to be repaired, I would say that you are depleting shields and destroying hull. Hull is physically damaged, shields are not. This makes sense to me.

Now you say that some other unrelated events work this way. So I'm to believe that you replied to a question about this event with an answer that reads like direct observation from personal experience, but are actually talking about a completely separate and unrelated event (which honestly I can't think of a single event with actual inconsistent scoring), without indicating that it's actually unrelated until someone challenges your answer? And then you want to say that wording from Scopley is a problem..
And it doesn't matter if he's unaware of the issues of Scopely, because you provided him with incorrect information anyway, in direct contradiction with my original correct advice. Which I have shown is easily demonstrated as working exactly as I expected it would, because Scopely might not be good at explaining (or making) things but they don't really just do random things and hope for an outcome. And I'm fairly confident that this is not the first of not stating "hull damage" and only counting hull damage, because I've had this discussion and providing proof before, even arguing with some people about whether excess damage counts (because that's damage dealt too, and for reference: no, it doesn't count).

Yea exactly O2C says, damage dealt points have ALWAYS been damage to hull, and never have had anything to do with shield, and actually the toast notifications are accurate, if it’s a solo lb damage event you will see the accurate damage dealt, the only inaccuracies are when bonus points are added for a kill etc, but that’s not necessarily in damage dealt events,

My officer xp is supremely low because of the lack of Faction Hunt events. Not saying we need to have a full week of it, but the once a week scenario was working really well for the majority of us. Bring. It. Back.

Genuine guess as to why they removed the gift options: you were only supposed to be able to select one, and we were able to choose both alliance and ourselves. That’s the level of pettiness the community is up against
