This Apex Outlaw - Alliance Milestone is kinda out of touch with reality, isn't it? 7500 points to hit the first tier. We have 69 players, that's a max of 6900 on day one and that's only if all of us take part (which we won't, unfortunately). Is the top tier even reachable? I can see this one should be running for three days. Will the points increase to have a decent chance at all?

I've been way overthinking this, but with a grand total of 85 Rogue Event Trophies (if you complete every daily, and then get the 25 alliance bonus), I can get 5 of the resource packs, and still have enough to buy 2 of the Research Medal packs at ops 28.

that gets me the 30% warp boost, beyond that is massive diminishing returns per Trophy spent.

No worries, I’m not saying that with a pinch of salt, but instead, with realism. I had my hopes up with Borg officers, bought some shards hoping I’d be able to buy the rest later on... and nothing for months. At least Stella by itself it’s mostly manageable without monthly events, so I’m fine knowing I might not max all apex research

@nova valley it’s good. It condenses some of the new mechanics, data mining, exchange hunting and exchange armadas in 3 days with worthily rewards, if it’s true that’s recurrent I think will be welcomed

Mudd is missing in Apex recurrent event imo. You should be able to buy some shards with event trophies too, why not.

So I was checking to see if I missed out on doing something or it was a paid thing I didn’t notice. And yeah, $20/month is reasonable, I just don’t have money to spend on entertainment atm. At least not until our debt is gone.

The repair cost formula as an example is straightforward, yet they repeatedly failed to replicate it correctly in the client.. eventually giving up entirely and pulling the number straight from the server 🤷‍♂️ it shouldn't be that hard to copy a formula..

as long as you scored any points toward the event before the FIRST milestone... you are eligible for any and all milestones the alliance hits after that
if you did not score before the first milestone, but scored before the 2nd one, you would be eligible for all milestones AFTER the second one... and so on

Really so where are you meant to have got more rare directives from? Their hasn’t been any other event except the burst events. Unless you need really high rep to get the rare directives.
The uc in alpha, beta, gama and delta don’t spawn unless you take the rares out???

Fuk pvp, you want pvp put rewards for it in the actual event otherwise it’s not worthwhile. Pvp over one armada just means the whales will always win and nobody gets to play. No fun and everyone gives up or quits, scopelys participation metrics drop, no one buys directives, everyone loses

Feedback on the Apex event that just ended:

The event was interesting and the level of difficulty was appropriate (at least for our alliance)
However, the lack of tools for alliance leaders made day 3 of this event a really poor experience (days 1 and 2 were OK). Not having any visibility on which members were online, who completed it and who didn't made it an exercise in pinging 70 people and asking "hey have you done the event yet?" and following up and not knowing if the person was online or not, etc.
To some degree, CoW already had some of that, but CoW was made up of solo events, so less coordination was required. For this one, we had people (especially leaders and big spenders) not doing armadas because they were saving directives to help those who hadn't completed if/when we could find out who was missing.

And it doesn't automatically get stronger with upgrade (though shouldn't get weaker unless it's not as high level, tier, or officers changed) - it's that scrapping it gives Stella particles which allows you to complete research that makes it stronger. More of an indirect upgrade with each scrap

They did say there will be an event store but I doubt it will use the BP points

Those are just points trackers - you've already essentially "gotten" the rewards from them through the Battle Pass so there wouldn't be a reason to give extra for them

I don't think they even go to your inventory anymore, they're just there to track. If you don't want the other rewards from Dom event and have finished milestones then you don't need to do it for points

Easy fix that is set up timer on player not able join any alliance within x hours.

@shrewd totem I checked out your calculation and it’s actually the same as the one I already do and yet it is wrong. My lvl5 Stella should only take 11hr 15mins after helps as I have scrapyard 36 (78%) and chop shop 4 (0.14%) and 17% for helps. It ends up being 11hrs 25mins though.

It's easy to test. Go break a ship with a long repair time, then speedup most if the repair and see how much benefit you get from the helps 🤷‍♂️
But I've looked at it with ops upgrades before (Alliance hopping for more speedups), so it should be right.

Yeah, you can't factor that in so easily, that's what my comment was about. You'd need to have a separate part for every help and know the times applied to get that answer. For an active Alliance it'll be close enough though.

There is nothing in your calculation that states time lapse in the remaining time. So it’s a calculation that only holds true for helps all arriving right at the start.

Apex events are supposed to be monthly, and to max the apex research it will take several rounds of the event. So it is up to you but there will almost certainly be a chance to turn them in later.

The amount of items in there are pretty good too in my opinion. Since I am lvl 35 I could do the apex rogue notoriety research so I got the tokens to do that, but in the future it will be a tough call between the research tokens or those mats/rss.

It just occurred to me also that if this alliance hopping was to be allowed by Scopely that Players could be scrapping for G3 materials from envoys every day. Just leave their ships in suliban space to get the bps and then jump alliances for the scrapping speed ups so no need to ever buy packs again as they’ll have a steady stream of g3 for free. I’m not going to do this but that is the precedent set by allowing this to happen...

Again, the clear the coast event is what that referred to and it did run/is running and is a pve event. Its just not the event that rewards the battle pass points. Earlier in the week we had faction hunt for battle pass points, which is pve, but the calendar notes the apex event as the calendar specifically is listing the outlaw events.

I get the gripe, the heading of the calendar is a bit misleading. But we are basically at the end of it and none of the events on it have been the ones that award battle pass points so this should not have been a big surprise.

Also scopely never releases calendars of daily events, whether a battlepass is running or not, and having the ability to complete a domination milestone event at any time is something you should plan for.

#

I have had time to ponder it and have come to this inescapable conclusion, that it is SCOPLEY who is responsible. By blanking some players from getting rewards for participating-even though they have strong enough ships to do so- You are cheating the Alliance as a whole by denying the Alliance the use of some of its members. You setup the event for an Alliance total points earned and then deny that alliance to compete equally. I do get it, Life isn't fair. But, when you purposely RIG the event to favor a few alliances over the rest, "fair" isn't even part of the equation. So I ask again SCOPLEY????...HOW FREAKING DARE YOU?????

My reds measure is kills per hull or loot per hull depending on what the goal is. Some other combo might have a chance at being better but pm and pmt are the most consistent by far. Repeatable results, trio after trio.

thats not the same with 5of10 when you are running high tier officers the mitigation boost is much higher

and you can kill them before they even fire kinetic

#

CMT vs regular faction battleships and non faction battleships hits better then PMT or PMC even more than vs probes

but again spending = skill right

and even without 5of10 your vidar at that boost will kill a 33 before it can fire its kinetic and thats when PMC is best

Because battleships sand interceptors are mixed weapons, go just PMC on explorers instead for excellent results.. I hunt explorers with my D4 all the time 😶
