If the fight is going long enough for that 10th or 11th round effect to go off when fighting the Borg, you will want Tlaan loaded. Chen seems to work better if the fights are being contained to 3 rounds and under. Otherwise the kinetics seem to hurt more unmodified than the energy damage, and "seems" becomes "definitely" when that big hit goes off. Little bit more strategy to these hostiles.

The devs should have dropped compensation chests of transwarp cells for those that purchased and reported the issue. There is no reason why they can not do that while they fix the issue.

@twilit imp I get the game is to make money. Nothing against that. I've paid some - I cannot drop the money some people have on the game. Nothing against them. But the events should be playable for all. The current "Probe Hunt" event - how can someone who hasn't bought the ship take part? Make it easier for people who pay - sure. But everyone should be able to grind to some extent in an event I think.

Never rely on auto shield. Always have a shield on if you are away. Put 12h shields over night if you don't know for a fact that you will be awake before a 8h being done.

I saved up 14 ultra recruits, used all of them, got 3 One of Ten. I think his percentages are pretty low, so I would hate to see how it looks without the 2x recruit chance. Are they sure it's 2x and now 1/2x?

@shrewd totem - I feel I owe you better feedback than what I said before. I have read up on a lot of info for this game and I'm not opposed to an FAQ. The operative phrase is "an FAQ" as in singular.

The information for this game is so dispersed that I find tracking it all down tedious. Go here for this tidbit. Go there for that. If I could go to one or two locations for a well structured read then I would be happy to not ask you ignorant questions. But there is only so much time and this is just a game. I leave it to those who have more skin in this game to sort out the finer points.

My suggestion would be to collect and organize all the lore into one central location that is organized as a reference. Bots like LCARS are all well and good but they aren't truly searchable like a document. Discord isn't the best place for reference works.

I actually don’t find it that difficult. It’s not that hard to figure out even just in game. Too many people just want instant gratification and have it handed to them. The part of the game I like is the strategy part for every event to make every move as efficient as possible, and every rss spend count.

I dont disagree that some improvements to communications up front could be improved, but laziness is not an excuse for ignorance.

Either a quick google search or discord search has always been the fastest means of finding an answer. Don’t expect a players guide to tell you what button to push when based on your exact situation/ level / etc. Seriously do some leg work.

The Probe Hunt event is quite unfair considering you cant do it without the new ship ( or buying transwarp cells) and you cant finish the missions with out mining with the new ship. Sucks really. Only P2P players can compete in that alliance event. Totally unfair.

only about seven more days left to complete the nano probe event, and the other one. if you chose to wait until it is possible to reach the max milestone rewards of the main event that award the ship parts required to build the ship required to complete the two said events, then you CANNOT participate unless you buy the ship now. there is no choice in the matter.

I bought into the franklin. Paid to upgrade it at two points to stay competitive. But once done I can use it to grind however much I want to grind.
Doesn’t seem like the new ship is anything like that. Pay to acquire. Pay to upgrade. And pay if you want to use it in a way that’s meaningful to competition.

@rapid sky the mission rewards where not that much. It gave you 500 lat and 400ish recruit tokens. But it also required you to donate 3.5k nano probes. Which wasn't worth when your starting out. Better save them and refine and upgrade vider instead.

It's also made the ship pack for half the vidar blueprints useless, either you buy it all and get all the rewards from events ending in a few days, or you wait for the main arc to complete. No one is going to get all but the last step and then think about buying a pack..

In past events, I believe around Christmas, there was a slew of events and in the news section of your base specified that swarm and ferengi would be postponed a week.
Now we have an event besides the quick to complete BFG, that obliges you to pay for the ship to even participate.
So the fact that we don't have swarms AND who knows Ferengi tomorrow....it's kind of frustrating to see a 'working as intended' uninformative message @shrewd totem

F2P have to choose between strengthening their ships, or going higher levels. The higher they go by using the resources to level up, their ships become useless for the dailies. A catch 22 for f2p unfortunately

wait.... so @sharp moss you have 4 hulls of yor bortas to do the event... and you're saying that's not worth the 11 mil steel, the 16 uncommon mats 2 rares, 66k dil; plus recruit chests that will award you a total of 25 officer shards......... not to mention provide 9k borg points for the milestone rewards, and progressing towards the vidar in arc 2....... 🧐 i'd estimate that 4 hulls is gonna cost you about 1 mil trit.... and probably about 100k in dil....

With a 2.9mil top milestone and a low tier d'vor I don't have much choice lol...3 t5 faction miners cover 2mil b4 bed then dailys fix the rest in the morning

Before I lvl'd ops to 36 I could finish lat Mondays in 4hrs on g3 alone...the jump at 36 is a little extreme tbh (rewards are decent though)

Capital Games provides an event calendar for the entire month 3 days before the new month begins. It is great. Very transparent. Nopely could learn from them.

He's against having to compete on a lvl that is (mostly) unobtainable as f2p. Being ranked vs lvl38+ at 28-35 is horrendously unbalanced

Also the rewards in those events needs to get better after the refinery buff. 38-50 each uncommons seems very little amount to try to top those events as it is.

I have 2.3 m mined today for the lay event, I’m already 45th, I’ll be 100th before it’s all over. It’s impossible for anyone on our server to win a leaderboard when we have 25 level 41+ guys. It’s incredibly frustrating

Absolutely loved as a lvl 29 being put in the same leaderboard as lvl 41's, and there are only 10 ranks. yeah, no one under lvl40 is getting anything.
