@shrewd totem a big event after this doesn't explain scopely's reasoning behind cancelling mainstay events under the dubious banner of congestion. There's no congestion, the current event is a 10min walk over and for many can be completed whilst swatting swarms anyway. And honestly if I/we felt it was congested we'd pick the one with decent rewards (swarms duh) and just do that.

Can kill 38s easily now, but the next step is now on most systems to kill 3+ million hostiles, so strength rating pretty much triples in one level. And generally when strength rating triples, the real fighting power goes up quadratically so 9 times stronger enemies.

Maybe it's strategy. Package multiple unpopular updates into one package and people will complain on one and others can slip through.

Also now faction space has turned into a real boring one, when half of the space are empty lvl 39 systems that are pretty much carbon copies of each other.

We are giving them feedback constantly and I think they are listening. Look at how they revamped faction hunt. Now hostiles are tiered so you can basically kill any level and still get points. This needs to stay and be implemented in all hostile kill events

Well at ops 30 I can pretty much kill an infinite amount of 34s of any faction which is what used to give 20 points, less than 40 NPCs in BFG and it's done

The point range might be a bit small for the power difference but I do prefer it over the old oen where you had to kill thousands of ships if you were overleveled

Thet should have kept it similar, so at ops 30 have 34-35 give you 10 points (as they halved the milstones), but then 36-37 should give you 15 or so

Meanwhile lower levels decrease slightly so maybe 32-33 will be 7 points, 30-31 4 points and anything below 1 point

This really ticks me off. 12-14 hours for station upgrades and you get almost no points for it. Use up all your speed-ups, then to fall 5 points short of finishing the event. Really getting tired of it.

Defense platforms are the only buildings that are useful for station upgrade events. All other buildings only give a few thousand points, completely disproportionate to the amount of resources required to build them.

It gets worse at very high levels, where each building requires billions of parsteel and months or years of speedups to build.

@dapper drum all lvl 28 fraction ships have defence ability, thats why they can survive attack by a bigger ship. Its a different story when it comes to base raid, kumari is more useful

Had a big fight tonight, someone hit my 690k saladin with a 850k saladin, i won with only 20% hull damage.

If the fight lasts only two rounds, the Saladin has a better chance I believe if the same tier as the Cent.
If you can test the cumulative damage at the end of 2 turns, that should be what matters/

Why wouldn't we get additional time to spend trek the halls tokens......i can still spend tokens from the last event but the store for this one closed as soon as u could not earn anymore some of us were earning up until the last second. Seems like a major fail to miss something so obvious.

Yeh it’s a bit bonkers...

525 point goal on 35, and I can whack ~4 lvl35 swarms maybe per run, or ~60+ if doing lvl32 swarms...

Either way, it gonna take more then 10 (!!) full repairs with a maxed out franklin (!!) and more then a friggin hour on 35 swarms or even +2h on those 32 swarms...

A lvl40 player on my server doesn’t do that much better then myself btw...

Am not amused with it 😡

I wish domination events actually gave out uncommons and crazy rss to encourage people to advance more. These events basicly bring stagnation to the f2p player base, starve the galaxy of lootable rss, and give people a reason and time to try out other games. I know scopely wants to encourage players to advance but I don’t think domination events are very effective

Went afk for a bit...yes, so you could have stayed 31...and lvl31 gets lesser rewards...and does not have rares in his 6h dailies...my only point...for anyone who has good franklin...event was way to easy for rewards it gave
And if u can get those rewards for 10 min it is not a grind or proper gaming.
Now, other problems, bad economy, insane parsteel needs, poor events...yeah those are real problems...but to moan cause your way to easy event became bit harder...c'mon we have more pressin issues

@abstract gate It is not a lot more difficult for someone who was able to do it easily before the change. But the issue is it is unbalance compared to effort needed at ops 30-31. Even if it were balanced, without any announcements it is just nothing surprising but only 💩 scopely thing to do.
keep im mind earlier it was 165kills for ops 30 and 183 kills for ops 32. That at least was competitively balanced.

I never did understand why they make the event points the way they do for hostile hunting. it just tends to cram everyone into the same one or two systems instead of letting players play freely and kill whatever they want.

Still not amused with it, cuz it’s a 24h event only, starting 18:00 my local time, followed by a regular working day...
1-2h was somewhat doable, but not gonna double spend the rest of my entire Sunday time on it merely cuz someone thought it was a great idea to toughen it up a bit...

Gotta say. Love these events where everyone is on even footing regardless of ship or ops level.

Allows me to have some fun in our alliance and offer a gift card or two to the top alliance participants to liven things up. Don't like doing it unless everyone can participate evenly.

gamma tokens aren't the only way to unlock these officers guys.... the pack just guarantees shards for these officers, but normal premium, ultra, standard recruit chests will still apply if drawn. also, your 7 and 30 day chests if it contains those officers. don't forget, dailies award faction recruit tokens as well as premium and ultras as well.

Kinda interesting how they can go from all time highs at Trek the Halls to pretty much all time crappiest events. Only armada events with nonexistent prizes needed to cap it off with domination and this trip around the sun.

and the event IS able to be grinded out since there are hostiles getting points. the rewards aren't the offiers guys... the rewards are the materials, alliance credits, and recrit tokens you get for placing. the officer shards are there as a means to collect them. if you wanna guarantee your place on the leaderboard, spend money. no diff than ANY OTHER EVENT EVER IN THE HISTORY OF FOREVER lol sorry for caps 🙂
