Lol, @abstract gate not everyone has unlmited resources from scopely! As someone with faction miner and NS, i can tell you that the NS is the much better option.
Why? Well, for half the price of levellng my faction to t4 (requires 14 ultra packs / 1125 crystal) I took my NS to T8 / 280k power...
For new servers, Northstar is pretty amazing. Agree not much point if u have a levelled faction miner tho

@woven swan this solo event is half the points and twice the duration of the last one this style, use your phindra and hunt battleships, it's quicker and cheaper to repair. Hit the 6 or 20 point ships if you can

The event is useless for mid-level alliances. The Ali ranking from NS event is pretty much mirrored in this one, and what does my Alliance (rank 20-25) get? Zero Bones shards, very little Parsteel for alliance leveling. Personal rewards are a laugh, 15 uncommon 2* rss for 2 hours of grind and 100-200 minutes of repair speedups?? No. I ordered a boycott at my Ali.

The big reason people find it hard to do te solo event is because you level up too quick with out boosting your ship power, the trick to k owing that is look at hostiles a couple levels above you and if your ships can’t attack them, then don’t level up, strengthen your ships.
I hear it so often, people@complaining oh I can’t do this or that because my ships can attack them, it’s not the games fault it’s the players. Who level up too quick.
Also attacking hostile is great, it’s better to hit more hostiles, it may take a while but it really boost your ship parts which you need for ship upgrades anyway, so a hostile event has many more benefits then just the actual event:
it does my daily hostile mission,
gets resources depending on the ships you hit,
Gives you loot boxes with ships parts etc,
And obviously the event rewards,

Spend money to rush to lv26, then...whatever you would normally spend for research and ships, you get at a better value

@queen topaz you must make sure to be logged in to Apple game center or the corresponding android thing before uninstall. Otherwise your progress will be lost. A player in my Alliance had this problem. Customer service could restore, but it took a few days to get back into the game.

After the 2x rate went into effect, it took me 8 ultra chests and something like 20 premium chests to get 8 Spock shards. Still RNG. For ultra, 50/50 rare or epic. If rare, even at double rate it’s something like a 15% chance to pull a Spock shard. But I knew that going in.
Premium chests you have to get the 25% chance at rare before you get to the better chance of Spock shards. And it seems only premium chests grant the increased chance at Spock. Ultra may only give better chance of Gorkon

@abstract gate I have a suggestion with regards to the officers. The ability to create a load out crew and save them when you switch ships. ie... my B ship I switch between a Kehra and an Envoy. Totally different crew and different if I’m mining gas, ore, or crystal. If I could create a saved crew for that ship load it as a group and send them on their way and swap them out when I switch ships after mining with my interceptor crew that would be sweet.

Not a big priority for scopely. I have been playing since early December and still have 71 of 75 bp for the jelly and there are no more missions.
The last dominion event promised 25 jelly bp bit delivered only 20. Support said they change prizes often and amounts are not always available through entire event. My alliance mates got 25 i finished 45 minutes after them and got 20.
By the time you grind bp for a ship it will usually be obsolete or a counter to what you just got will be on sale. Just rough...

@north parrot one of the events the first day was a All player individual station upgrade event. It had 1000 or so ultra and 2000 or so prem tokens. Since then I have not seen another event with prem or ultra tokens

this basically is a bug in the view of every player... defence platforms are part of your station its not like you can get in one and fly it around space. So therefore its part of your station. And unless the event said everything but defence platforms counts its reasonable to expect them to be part of your station. Oh and the research groups, what do defence platforms fall under oh thats right station.

This Valentine's event has run for a whole week and is pointless.
You are killing the game by running events like this and the PvP kill other player event.
During the last PvP player event no body was present on our server. They bubbled for a week and returned when the event was over....again pointless event.
Please restart alliance events that promote teamwork and competition instead of these cashcow sales events.

Oh and I’ll add the drop rates for rare and uncommon refined materials and the PvP level discrepancy are why I’ll eventually end up leaving the game. No logical reason to allow a player lvl 31 to hit a lvl 20 players like myself and I can only hit a lvl 16 player except a lazy short term vision. It will literally cost $1000’s of dollars to reach lvl 30 or 2 solid years of grinding. Develop the game past level 50 correctly and give players the satisfaction of the increased drop rates or reap an early demise of the platform.

I have the opposite problem. I have piles of officer xp and no shards to promote them. Unless you are fairly progressed, you tend to accumulate a lot of xp before getting enough shards to use them.

Also the time span of the events are not long enough especially for high level players whose upgrades can take up to 2 days+ to complete where an event could only last 5hrs, this makes it impossible to achieve any result worthy of a reward

Just FYI. 2.5 months of waiting to fix my issue that I can’t upgrade ships with time (issue I’ve had since I bought the jelly fish pack), I can only upgrade ships by paying gold. 40 emails now back and forth saying they know it’s a problem and are looking into it. They finally offered to reset my account but are now denying me any compensation for the money I spent, my maxed jelly fish, maxed characters current material etc. basically they placated me for months and now gave me the middle finger and said good luck starting over from scratch! Stop the repeat upgrade station events and limited time research events and get back to weekly events with daily rewards. Mining hostile farming etc. Run events extra like officer events during server prime times instead of while most of us are at work....

Why is it when you go to Recruit chests and get the largest chests and open 1 at a time you get duplicate crew but the piece count is only from the first crate it never give concurrent number in progression? There have been multiple times when I got multiple Kirks, Spocks, or any other one and only got credit for the first one Wtf Scopely? @shut iron it's a display bug. What's shown on the last screen is what you get and it's correct. What you see when you open the chests and the shards individually is repeated. You only get a fixed number of shards per chest.
