What is the point of anniversary heist event when there is a Domination Run in there, and I personally have absolutely nothing to upgrade atm... They had a while back the option to complete Dom events with ship xp/officer xp.. Why did they remove that??

I used to not have to grind at ALL - I’d save tiering for FH and have the freaking event done in 5 minutes.

its an objective fact that you only need to kill a quarter of the hostiles as the previous run of the event, you don't have to search deep in my message history to see me being critical of scopely but I also make sure to give them credit where its due, and they significantly improved the grind for the marjority of players on this event series

No credit is due. They keep adding more grind when players are asking for less. I easily progress while keeping faction ships in the hopper to tier for the FH events and eventually scrap them for materials. The fact remains that an event that used to take 5 minutes now takes 20 minutes per faction when you include warp time.

when you’re a level 67 and have higher level hostiles to hit, yes. Warp time plus the actual grind part while competing against other players in the same systems hitting the same reds? Yes, it takes 20 minutes per faction. Get back to me when you’re 10 ops levels higher.

judging by a screenshot from a 68, your top milestone is probably 5300. (Edit: assuming the score per ship remains the same across grades) That's 29 level 69-70 hostiles, or if its to busy you can drop down and do 38 level 66-68 hostiles. That's still less than half the grind. Depending on ship tiers is not sustainable until they add g5 and g6 scrapping, and not tiering up your FKR ships might be why you aren't even hitting at your level

unless you buy the prime hazard resistance pack, you are limited to very small number of systems and these are all packed during such events. not everyone is as smart and efficient as you and does 100% of the game at their level with all efficiencies. average players dont have the luxury to spend 5 hours a day in-game doing everything to keep up at top

Can we change the strike timer on the outposts to something a little quicker? Maybe go from 5 minutes to 2 or 3 minutes its ridiculously long. That would cut down the time on completing outpost take over by 144 minutes just shaving 2 minutes off. We have better things to do and it takes less then 30 seconds to buff the outpost between strikes

The fact that scopely nerfed faction hunt is really messed up. I used to be able to build and upgrade g3 class ships as well as g4 and g5 to get points, now they nerfed it to only hitting hostiles. I cannot see those as I am 65 atm but was wondering if I will jump to 66 would or would I not be able to get those. Some players in my server said they cannot see them as well and they are 66 already so I do wonder were those there or what’s a criteria for them to show up in Event Store. Does anyone know?

Hi, for this event store you need to actually have the ship to see the refit. Hijacked refits are also only available for Epic ships, there is no Hijacked refit for a 66 ship as far as I can see in Hangar.

Or maybe only some of the 66 ships have that, but for example I have Velox and I do not see the skin for it

Is it just me, or are the event payouts getting worse? Take today’s event, Operation Grand Slam Batting Leadoff – SMS: completing all milestones only gives 3,000 Black Friday Store tokens. That’s barely halfway to an epic officer. I’m not saying we should expect an epic every day, but the grind feels ridiculous when the rewards are this meagre.

Every time invasion runs DJ makes a big point about having to grind fatu krey loot and how it's not worth his time. That's the problem with the path Scopely is choosing: different events every week or month. There won't be the same events, no identical coins. And the whole game will become temporary events, where nothing is fixed. And of course, you'll have to pay for everything. Players here complain that they don't want to accumulate a lot of junk, so we're eliminating the possibility of them accumulating anything, good or bad. It's clear what Scopely is doing, and that is killing the patient to cure the disease.

APAC is a terrible place to test incursions. Most players just log off for the day so the game is basicslly dead, then when they run it on active servers in other regions they wonder why they have lag they didn't see on APAC.

I didn’t realize until reading this just now. It occurred to me, but I thought it was just some sort of lag-causing bug (which I reported in-game.) This caused me to miss an event on the first day. I completed the trivia, scored on the meta, and never saw an event there again—despite going through the tabs several times before reset to make sure I hadn’t missed anything—until after event reset, when I saw an ended SMS event I hadn’t scored in right next to the first trivia event.

The buffs are only available WHILE you have ships in the outpost. You get a small amount of mats each retaliation ship(check battle log loot box) and randomly get chests.

And yes. Its pay 4 play. Every new outpost means you have to spend to turn on the buffs. Every time

It's broken because you are expected to hit up to reduce the grind, but ops 60 can't hit up. Even one ops level down only needs about half the hostiles, clearly whoever set the milestones doesn't know the reality of the game

They just massively reduced the hostiles for faction hunt, it makes no sense to also introduce an event with closer to the old faction hunt grind amount

Live Ops has a bad history of giving the 50s and 60s bad milestones, there's no reason to push back against someone pointing out when it happens

Events are almost always aimed at hitting hostiles at your level. The punching up thing is a community fueled thing because less hostiles = less time grinding.
50 hostiles for you. Ok let's do the math.
50 hostiles.
Average 10 secs per hostile (5 sec battle time + 5 sec travel time to the next target on average).
500 seconds ÷ 60 = 8mins 20 secs.

If you can't deal with less than 10mins of grinding for an event in 24hrs I don't know what to tell you.....except that it isn't broken. 😅🤷

Do you have a source for events being designed to hit at level? Because the existence of scoring for higher levels implies differently, they are more than capable of delivering different versions for different levels.

The time thing misses the point completely, while also being wrong. There is one system for 60 Romulans, that will have most of G5 in it. And at least half the hostiles in there are 59. So your time minimum is already incredibly wrong. But at no point did I actually complain about the time, just that live ops was delivering events with milestones that didn't reflect the reality of the game. There is no reason that ops 60 should need to hit significantly more hostiles than 59 but they do because whoever set the milestones is operating off bad assumptions

Events are designed to hit evenly to ops. That said, lately they've been increasing the amount of targets to hit. Way back in the day, the targets were high like now, but a few years ago, they reduced the grind and events were aiming at about 35-40 targets.

I feel the dauntless is at fault here. Most specialty ships were designed to fill a hole, a solution to some new problem. The dauntless didn't do that, agg was solved with a building, and now they've made events harder to dig a new hole.

Faction Hunt is broken based on the time it takes. Yes you could decide to NOT complete it but with the current requirements whoeever decided on the totals vs points per hostile was clueless. As a 71 player I need to hit 240+ 71/72 hostiles across FKR. That in itself takes a minimum of roughly an hour. Worse because hitting 71 Veil hostiles would take c.2-3 hours with those numbers so your left with hitting hostiles in a 70 FKR zone and your likely not lucky enough to always have 71 hostiles. So you end up getting 69's and 70's earning even less point resulting it it taking even longer. I'm so tired of the muppets that do the math in this game for event scoring.

Some weirdness in s21/s49 incursions. I have a 4 hr shield up with 3hr 45 min remaining and transfer from s21 to s49, I get a attack and hit message saying one if my ships is destroyed (in dock). Withholding officer depot events is a major slowdown in the path towards leveling up. For example, I've got a bunch of ops 39/40ish guys in my alliance who need a Gorn Eviscerator, which you can get BPs for by killing gorns during the weekly SMS event. But you can't kill gorns very easily without the Eviscerator -- you need isolytic officers like SNW Nurse Chapel, Ent-E Picard, Ent-E Data, Janeway, etc. And there is realistically no way for them to get these officers in a timely fashion without the officer depot SLB's.

IMO the only reason why Scopely skipped the officer depot SLB this weekend and last was because they probably felt they were giving away a lot of epic officer shards to everybody for the anniversity event. Once that's over, I'm hoping they'll bring back officer depot SLB.

When they were first released, gorn were very difficult due to a lack of iso. In the modern era, iso isn't nearly as rare, and sourcing exists in many different areas. I'd send your players here to post their combat results against gorn to see if there any improvements that helpful players could find so that they can continue to progress through the game. Even back then, the evi wasn't a need for the content, it was just an easy solution.

That's because of Scopely's policy.
They don't give you any valid G2 material until you surpass G3.
They don't give you any valid G3 material until you surpass G4.
And so on; you always have to be at a higher level to get anything decent from the previous level.

Having events that reward hoarding goes against that, they delay development because players believe they can get more value if they play that way. Once again we have players punching down and occupying outposts from low 50’s. I visited 4 elite 53 systems, all taken and mostly by ops 60+. Can you please either add a level lock, or at least not introduce «hold outpost» events when there’s 0 chance to score for the lower 50’s ops players?

Not sure if anyone answered you or not. The bottom row activates once you do 14 levels from the top row. For instance, do 8 from the upper left and 6 from the upper right. That gets you to level 15 and unlocks the bottom row.

I don't know what your event looks like, i.e. how many you have to kill / which levels, but in theory you could kill a few in wave defenses.

What happens if I move up from ops65 to 66 after CotA starts? (From 61-65 to 66-70 brackets)..
Assuming I have scored something with one research on the main meta SLB, if I receive ops66 will a new meta SLB appear for the higher bracket, and I score in both for each event result and my researches?
Would I receive an extra single event SLB (usually arc tokens, or depot tokens, except final mats event where it’s usually shards) on the day I go up, from the higher bracket, as well as the one from the lower bracket if I scored in it already?
Then participate only in higher bracket individual event SLB’s from the next day onwards?
Or would I get only the lower bracket Meta SLB for the whole event, on the day I move also, and higher bracket individual SLB’s on following days?
Something other than that?
.. I assume the heroic sms meta stays one and only one, and is still completed by same individual single event heroic sms, and I won’t get a second one on any day I move up?

yeah, usually that's what players do. last SLB which runs for 48hrs, gives 2x pts and keeps you in the same bracket for meta and also the 48hr SLB even if you ops up once the SLB begins

Since will be sending a lot in this move..

Sadly that means I can’t on this event go to 67 in time to unlock the spend for maxing gs31, which is 60+ million

Or if I do, I’ll be competing against higher bracket ppl for Chain of Command and Final Synthesis events that follow the Ships day..
So I guess either save maxing GS31 for next time, or do the unthinkable and send it for no points now lol

I find it easy with 2 factions with high rep (500M ea) and collecting the daily hostile grind and mining tasks (big chunks of rep). With these rep events, I've started not collecting daily rep claims till event reset so that I can claim immediately, then get the daily reset claim too.

Add on the rep claims from away teams legacy store.

And since I have one faction that still chases me, I fill in the rest with autogrinding.
