Scopely are essentially asking players to give them money for the opposite of what Earth Day is supposed to highlight. They don't disapppear when you re-roll, so you have to leave the AT section and go back in. That doesn't always show the replacement, so you have to exit and return multiple times before the new one shows. Makes it just about un-workable. Scopely are conspicuous by their absence right now, just hiding & hoping it will sort itself out. 💩

If a player accepts a specific task (let's say the 10k "acquire 17000 multiphasic credits" task), is that task removed from the task pool until it is completed or abandoned?

If not, does it affect the likelihood of it showing up for someone else during that time?

5 out of 7 days for tournaments are at least 2 days too much. The tasks are all over the place, almost always too high for a 50/51 to complete in a timely fashion grinding above 53 for best rates. Can't even do that with some hostiles like swarm. And 6*, sigma (no clue) and I re-roll about 16x to get something doable. Most of my small alliance is fed up so we'll never advance anyway.

So you can get points for “any hostile” as in non-hirogen hostiles…in the level 10 to 24 range, I assume so lower level players can still complete this objective.

Also, there is a bonus for Hirogen Elites or Transports which will be 4x their base level points.

haha, yeah. so. i mean, no. what we know is this:

• when your ship returns home, it scores for all the TD in your cargo.
• for whatever reason, doing an armada with the cube also does that score.
  So the way to win the SLB is pretty plainly to find a system in dominion space where your cube beam kills things & charges to at least 100% off a single solo, and then do solo>beam>solo>beam>repeat ad nauseum

I knew about the thing when going home. But it cant be the dominion solos because other people tried to replicate it and got no score at all. Also i got different values for the same kind of armada and even more different scores if i had other ships als in them.

Typically, any action you should restart. Select a task? Restart to make sure it really selected it. Collecting a task? Restart to make sure it registers. Refreshing tasks? Restart. Just finished restarting? Restart. Post on discord? That's a restart.

Okay, returning to a previous topic, I know I asked about this a few days ago.

Within each bucket, there is a pool of tasks that can appear. Let's focus on bucket #3 (the last three slots). Tasks are not all weighted equally; we know that "acquire 2200 6* materials", for example, comes up way more often than "Acquire 500 epic borg solo armada directives". We have firsthand observation that multiple people CAN hold the same task at the same time, but does one person holding a task REDUCE (not eliminate entirely) the odds of that task appearing again for someone else?

Someone explained it to me like this: there's a "wheel" that contains every task in the pool, but some tasks (like 6* materials) appear many, many times on the wheel, whereas other tasks (Epic Borg) only appear a few times, and when someone accepts a task, it removes that spot on the wheel until the task is completed or abandoned. So it might not be impossible to have two people get a very rare task at once, but as soon as one person accepts that task, it becomes even rarer for any subsequent spins of the wheel.

Does this make sense, or do I sound like a madman?

Here's what I'd say about it:
I think we as players know rather little for certain about how it works behind the scenes. What I would is strongly suggested or known from our evidence is:

• A given slot doesn't reroll into the task it left
• There's no cooldown rolling back into a task (if you roll out of ABC, those slots might roll back as CAB)
• One copy of a task being active doesn't stop that task from being rolled
• Some tasks seem to come up much more frequently than others
• There's 3 groupings of tasks, and there's specific positions that tasks appear in, based on their group

As to how the RNG works - you would need a very large, controlled sample to make accurate guesses as to anything special they might be doing, and the nature of alliance tournaments is kind of anathematic to that - you would need probably multiple extremely well developed players to fly solo to control the environment (or in an alliance of their alts to hold tasks, more likely), and record their results, and even then, their data would only be valid for that run that ended; there's anecdotal reason to believe task weighting has been adjusted between runs in the past.

My assumption has been that scopley did it in what i think is the simplest way possible - "roll any task from the correct group that isn't this task, based on the task weights", because I don't know why they'd put more effort into that or where they'd get the time, but that's pure speculation with no data behind it.

Apparently the answer accepted in the trivia was something along the lines of the Enterprise never used or had a cloaking device in the episode which is completely in error to the canon material as Kirk stole while Spock kept the Romulan commander occupied.

PvP events are trash to anyone that does not like PvP (I am typically included in that group). in this case however, both events were run correctly with limitations on the OPs lvl you score from and system restrictions. IMO, these events are not trash due to the ease of ignoring htem if you are not interested in PvP.

Probably. Prize inflation is pretty bad in this game - all the more reason to update them all annually. Look at the refinery. A G5 ship wants thousands of epic mats for a single gun update, but the refinery dribbles them out about 10 a day, give or take. Talk about unbalance, LOL

Solo waves event. I have 1 solo wave dir... I can either do 1 normal solo wave (all 5 waves) for the alpha-epsilon sms events, OR I can try and do wave 2 on the elite G6 solos (can't get past wave three lol and I'm ops 66). When you have a game that's translated into multiple languages, you have to take translations into account. This is because it's a simple event. But imagine if it's an event in which you have to invest in materials that are very difficult to obtain or you have to pay for them. Many could feel cheated.

Just want to know one thing: What does Scopely have against DS9? I mean, not a single DS9 crew in the rewards for the augment store. You can get all the Borg, all Voyager, all the Ferengi, SNW, ete etc...but the one crew besides SNW that has a genetically engineered officer, nope. You can get the Dominion crew and Cardassians. DS9? Nope. No Bashir. No Sisko, but you can get Janeway and Picard and Pike and all that. >_>

Can probably get a weeks worth of solo refines of the common/uncommon in an hour with loot crews in the 40/50 systems. Rare and epics going to be a slog at my ops. Atleast without new officer/ship/refits/research/augment favour. Seems reasonable for now

i used 2 ships with full loot crew it took me 15 mins in the 40 system to get enough loot to double pull the common refiner alone. That will need to be repeated for the UC and for the rare and for the epic

if 1h a day minimum is what you think is reasonible to spend farming a single faction store. Also loot favour adding 100% loot will hardly change that, that was with well over 200% loot on each ship

and if you only can use 1 ship that doubles that time taken.

Not to mention you gotta fight for every hostile with the entire server

How can u force everyone to grind MULTIPLE systems for the 4 grades of new loot.
Then make it worse and force them all to single systems which pay out the most for a single grade of loot.
40 - common
50 - uncommon
60 - rare
70 - good luck it owns most people currently but I’m guessing epic?

With the chest pulls being millions of loot to do and all those systems for grinding u spend majority of ya day on the one loop lol.

How is this quality of life improvement?
Give us a dvor in the archive to save 1minute on clicks.. give us a new grind loop taking hours to do… as balanced as arena matchmaking it seems 🤷‍♂️
