Q sucks. First us lower level players got screwed with the Q's trials fiasco and didn't get compensation for, that I noticed. And now he's not even bothering to give me the event to fail at, maybe that's him being benevolent and telling me to go play outside 🤣

can you use grush or eviscerator (or alliance mate's) to punch up? doesn't change the underlying issue of the milestones vs points from kills being to high. just might help you work around it

For me personally, my disco/gorn didn’t have the range to reach Borg 54 and even with Grush on the bridge I was still 30 warp range away.

It's based on talios tier. So you can have people(like myself) that pushed ops but haven't kept the talios upto par with their ops.

IF you have a big enough evisorator... then you can rip to a higher sys... for me it was 58 sys... took 35 kills at ops 53... so that's not bad... infact it's reasonable... but needing to use evisorator to get there is BAD design... but 35 kills is way better than the 219 I needed at 52 sys. Which is where my maxed vidar at my ops lock is able to get to...

Oh that's for sure. In terms of efficiency, the maxed Vidar was way better. The T1 Talios was like a glass cannon and died so fast without the loot returns that it was much better to run the base Vidar until it got tiered. You would get rewarded with a msssive repair time and large probe deficiency otherwise.

This event really just reinforces to me how frustratingly anti-player ops locking ships is. With the Eviserator I can get to the higher systems and the Talios does fine which would be incredibly helpful in reducing grind scoring events. But scopely wont let it fly there without moving up another 2 ops levels.

Ops 44, T6 Talios, so I can only reach lvl 42 probes. At 1.5m a kill, I need 568 kills to reach 853m, and at 43 kills per visit that's 14 tokens to get there. Whoever set these numbers needs to be educated in how their game works.

I ended up breaking out cadet scotty to reach a higher borg probe level on my maxed lvl 49 Talios. Even by sacrificing a side car I was still able to kil them and finish the event. That being said, I now have enough borg loot to last for a month +?

Try punching higher. If your Talios doesn't have the warp range use your faction ship. At level 53 i did mine by kiling level 58 probes with my Corvus. Needed 35ish to get the 33 billion score. Took me less than 10 mins

I finished the BORG-Event in about 45min ! How i managed this ?
Every player 40+ can build the ARCHIV (BotanyBay / Vidar are done), so i get 1 TranswarpToken per day for free.
TALIOS (every research possible, i did it) so it took me 89 kill in total (to getting 33,83 Mrd./B. points needed)
I needed 4 Token, because i my cargo-space were full 😉
My hit : Don`t rush your OPS-Level to quickly, and don´t forget your research and ship upgrading -> Then playing is much easyier !

its annoying how there is this assumption that struggling on this borg event means we rushed ops or let our vidar/talios fall behind. I'm ops 35 with a tier 1 talios, my vidar had been maxed for over a month. There's nothing rushed about that ops level, I just hit 35 and I'm top five on my server for the level with a tier 8 enterprise, and there's nothing behind about a talios as soon as you can build it, fully upgraded for its ops lock as soon as it was built. This event needing 8.73 million when I can only do a handful of 36s at a time was a huge ask, and only really completable because I had a surplus of tokens from having the mastery for so long.

He wasn’t nearly as invested as the rest of us and this made him decide it wasn’t worth it.

They tried to not have players who havnt tiered their vidars be in a spot where they cant kill what’s needed. So instead of going by ops. They went by ship tier

Entirely ignoring that the ship can pretty much kill what it needs to easily. But. The warp range is ops locked so it can’t get there. And for many the warp needed is too high for eviscerators and discos to pull them in..

Like I said. Swing and a miss.

That works for some. Not all.

For eg 53s have the top milestone. And the same ship tier as a 56. But. They’re missing the extra 100 warp range you get at 54. Grush isn’t making up that difference.

I was able to complete the event only because I had a stock of tokens from my archives mastery. Others in my alliance are out of tokens and not even near completion so they're understandably hacked off

I have maxed talios for my ops38 and the event top tier is 28mil which means 1500 lvl33 probes or 525 lvl36 probes... Not doable within one day...

I have my Talios as far as it can go for my ops level 53 (i'm 99% sure) and I can only reach 52. that 250 or so kills fopr the 12 days of Qimas to complete. A little excessive.

its because its based on talios level instead of ops level, I have a tier 1 talios so I had to do 8.73 million while an ops 39 without a talios didn't even need 800k. It turns out that, contrary to a lot of advice today, having an underleveled vidar/talios was the secret to an easy event

so i figured out an alternative way. Janeway/ent e data/doc with Hugh Pelia and ent-e troi on a tier 4 Vorcha. Cargo fills up fast, but I can kills many lvl 54 probes

Simply put they post fkr event milestones to a borg probe event, without the ability to hit up.
Another swing and miss from arc event runner, pretty sure they used to complete b4 they went on holiday.

Unlike last months event runner Eco who not only was available but actively sought feedback and made changes on the fly.

So changes were possible to do if only scopely employees worked weekends.
The only gaming developer who takes 2 days off every week.

even hitting all lvl 54's its 88 kills for my Talios. This is why events should not be ship level based. Hitting max lvl 58 probes I would need 35. That is the only way (and impossible at ops 53) that the event would be reasonable. Lvl 58 system has a warp requirement of 425. I could send my Voyager I suppose..... lol

OPS 35 with a maxed vidar i had to do 1.6m , took me 2 tokens, but someone had to spend 10 tokens in the alliance and several hours worth of grinding probes , this Qismas event is just borked and scopely doesn't have the faintest f idea what they're doing.

the point is, for an event, it should not need the use of other ships/resources to complete. It's a probe event, and the event was very hard for a lot of people if they had a higher level Talios or Vidar. I appreciate the Eviscerator tip, though my eviscerator cannot reach the borg 58 system either. I will try that though, once I have my eviscerator at that level

What was really messed up is a T10 Talios had the same score requirements as a fully maxed T12 Talios.
So my ops 69 whale teammate had the same event as me-ops 53 T10 Talios

And like I said yesterday….a mod escalated the issue to scopely and that means a jr engineer will ignore it until after the event is over and it looks like I am right. Not a word from Brokely Scopely on this insanity

I had to get 2.13 billion to finish the event. My talios could only get to the 48 systems. So, i stopped doing it. I wasn’t going to kill probes for hours on a Sunday.

If you can get the community to agree to a 50% increase in pack prices, I'm sure Scopely would be happy to look into running a full team 24/7 instead of having reduced staff on certain days or at certain hours.
Otherwise, them dealing with an over the weekend issue in the manner they have really isn't something to raise pitchforks at.
The event scoring made some players have a very difficult time completing it, and because of that they missed a required feeder to the meta.
Launching a catch-up event is exactly what the solution should be, which is exactly what they're doing.

They can't give a free comp to players who couldn't complete it because they don't know who couldn't complete it, only who didn't. It's far less fair to comp a victory to those who just chose not to play yesterday, than run a replacement event that's available to all regardless of completion of yesterday's.

I use the NX01 to peek into the token systems on Saturdays.. find nodes and take them.

on Mondays yeah the systems are packed.. but on Saturdays, they are mostly open

everyone likes different parts of the game mechanic. I personally like the mining/resource collection more than the PvP so someone like me won't stop mining on Mondays to join a PvP centered event.

Crucible of war you earn enough loot if you complete the AMS to pull the armada chest twice. That gives 2x rare and 6x uc per month. (Note the armada chest says limit one, but if you pull it on day one with saved up loot, you can pull it a second time before it goes away)

if you want to go for damage SLB, then I think the way was to go highest as you can, possibly 5/11 Khan Gorkon/Lorca/E-Data or similar high dmg output crew, Paris below or combine with Belanna/Neelix below depending on ship. If you have the newer crews, then those might do very well - some combo of Dajash, Byr, Toli; Masriad on bridge or below, haven't properly tested those yet, Demarco also should be a game changer for these

You get pts for overkill on the last round from crits, etc. My points tracked pretty even on the solos, which is why I figured it was HHP. Groups are obviously tougher bc you have others in there as well

Mine just showed up (points, not chest). This was in response to my support ticket. Maybe chests later for the folks who didn't submit a ticket?

Yeh the score is rather consistent on solos with the same level, but the Number i got each time does not add up to hhp damge, or double (because Revenant should score double) and is not even close to the hhp of the respective Armada. And even if it consideres overkill, the score should at least be double because of the Revenant.

Fun fact: the Borg TD event that rolls out on Thursdays counts some dmg vs FKR solos as pts. Wanna guess whether that's mentioned in the description of the event? The disconnect between their coding and event descriptions is... wait for it... legendary

Is this an error I have the battle pass showing 15k for the day leaving me 5k short of the next milestone and I am sure I haven't missed any.
