I think it's a perspective shared by a lot of people. As I posted earlier today, I left on June 26. In my experience, Scopely didn't give a flip about me before I left, and certainly didn't care to find out why I left. I know a lot of other people have left too.

I don't blame the community managers here, I know your abilities are limited and you're doing the best you can with the roles you were given.

Many people believe that Scopely management isn't interested in encouraging lower level players to stick around, and are more concerned with keeping the high level players happy. Whether that's the reality or not, the effect on the players is the same. Loss of interest and abandonment of the game.

It's too late for me, my account has already been deleted. But if Scopley wants to try to keep the lower level players from quitting, they better do something quick. Eventually, the high levels will get bored and find a new game to play, and there won't be many lower level players to advance and replace them.

No, you're not being stupid. I really love Star Trek. I have phaser replicas, ship replicas, action figures and other stuff. I have the original UNREMASTERED series on DVD. No, I don't have uniforms and dress up, but more power to people who do.I love most of the different series, even though I will skip some of the goofier episodes, and some I don't watch at all, but I did try.

This game was so good when I first started. The missions told a story and I read them all. It didn't take much effort to play every day and it was fun when I had some time time to kill. Then I got higher and higher in levels, and I started building spreadsheets to track my resources, my spending, my officers, my ships, my researches. The arcs got more specialized, the currencies became less valuable, I exhausted the missions so there wasn't any story left. It became kill kill kill, mine, mine, mine, grind grind grind. That was OK for a while, but....

Then it became "YOU'RE EXCLUDED FROM THIS ARC, LOW LEVEL SCUM!" Oddly, I was still ok with the game, because I had certain personal goals. Certain ships I wanted to max, certain officers I wanted to max, just for the fun of it. So I did that. Maxed my Enterprise, then went on and maxed my Augur, just because I liked the ship. Maxed Antares, because it was a cool color.

Then, one day, I just decided I was done. I'd done everything I wanted to do, I had completed all the missions I could possibly complete at my level, so there wasn't any story left in the game, and it required too much time and effort to keep playing a game that really became a gring without much fun.

I set a seven day shield and requested account deletion. I think it was gone on day five or six.

Depending on what it is you're hoarding, the immediate gains can outweigh the slb rewards. Also, they don't run slbs for a lot of things anymore, and stop running them a couple months after release. (Remember Ultra Recruit token SLBs? Folks still be hoarding those.)

STUPID FATU CREYS spawning!... I was prepared to do Rep grind today - managed time off in RL.
I can imagine, that none of developers have to do rep grind - they just change that stupid number in their test systems. Whales buy expensive packs. But F2P players - I tell you how it works..

U take 3 ships, with right crews for killing surveys. Relocate to system with surveys. Activate 3xEXOs for +%Rep. And do 1 hour hard grind managing 3 ships, killing red triangles.

But those stupid Fatu-Crey thing just ruined my day. Start was ok, but after killing first surveys, all system just turn into stupid Creys on steroids. Once in a while there were moments with none survey in a system..

Fix this stupid shing:

1. create special systems for them.
2. at least fix spawn rate - not random Survey/Fatu but at least 6 surveys MUST be in a system at any given time - like you have it in bajoran /freebooters systems - there are always 3 ships each of a kind at any given moment.
3. Anyhow - there is no event going on - why are they here?! (besides I cannot exchange those tokens - as you turn off event store).

I honestly don't think its broken but is working as designed. The NSEA Protector is an Explorer so doesn't get the research bonus the Selkie and Nova would get and has a low base mining rate with its mining speed ability added on as a multiplier, so at T1 NSEA Protector has a base mining speed of 568% with a ship ability of 60000% which equates to being lower than a T1 Nova with a base mining speed of 2750% with the bonus 50000% from the mirror research bonus

This chart is fairly close to accurate from my experience so the NSEA Protector only beats out the Nova once T7

it's kinda like most things, they want people to level up, but it's diminishing rewards for tiering up, leveling up, or upgrading things. the messages for example, go from 2 to 1 at 10mil, and at 600mil rep it's .63 to 1. you want people to upgrade things, stop making it harder as you get up there.

Efficiency on message exchange is worse, but you get more of it. Eventually, efficiency doesn't matter because you get an income that far exceeds demand.

On other loops, yeah, it's noticeable when you grade shift and demand skyrockets. I kept some of my development low to avoid that.

Looks like most of the tournaments task are spend events, FKR Rare and Epic armadas, ex-Borg credits of various amounts, Formation Armadas and others, I do not see anything in there about killing hostiles even though they show that, but hey, I could be wrong. Personally everything anymore is spend events and competitions with crazy brackets. Spend spend spend not to mention half the events anymore are pay to play. Not liking the direction they are going anymore. I guess they are getting money from it so now they are doing more and more of it.

From the video and the blog, the tasks are personal, the points are for the whole alliance. So you pick a task, do it and the alliance gets points (and possibly the player gets currency). When you pick one, another one is rolled. However, the information given might be incorrect, it would not be the first time...

Each coordinate is half a system identifier. All eight codes give you four systems. Starting tomorrow you have to visit every system in that box.
