they're kind of doing exactly what you suggest. the patches are a reward that you'll be able to use to buy a really strong ship once you're 40. they're not event store currency that expires, they're more like borg war funds or cosmic currency.

The timer on the scrap exchange is ridiculous. We’re going to be able to exchange a tiny fraction of all the scraps we accumulated by grinding all the hostiles required to “end the invasion” and do the milestones.

Evidence: RNG from scrap exchange only guarantees one "Chimera Vanguard" call (2-3 pulls @ 50 bits guaranteed = 150 bits to call. One call = 100 bits. Perfect RNG = 200-300, but bad RNG is bad RNG). If a player doesn't call the right vanguard (bc it's not clear how strong they are, how the mechanic actually works, what ship we should use, etc), they won't get enough loot to complete the SMS. Just want to confirm this is "by design" and we are expected to make a purchase to complete "Chimera Salvage - SMS" if RNG doesn't smile on us. (It's supposed to be labelled "Heroic?")

If I may suggest some feedback. It would be great to see some sort of no cool down straight exchange of fey scraps for chimera directives. Looks like a CM was already looking into your ascension situation. I don't think there's anything else you can do. They don't disclose the exact conditions to getting an ascension beyond a vague window of time. I'd hesitate to suggest anything without knowing if it'd get you closer.

Pure armada officer abilities won't work, eg. Sisko.
SNW Mbenga captain didn't work.
The chimera are easy, a loot officer like 5 might be a strong choice.
You'll want damage, the time is limited.

Learning from my first run, for the second, I'd start with a strong foundation like 5 Khan + TorresBDA(T5). Alternatively, the content's so easy for where I am in the game, it really doesn't matter what I'd use, the 56s are trivial and 60/62s are out of my warp range. More loot officers might be the move.

Arc events you do if you want to, if you don't then it is no biggie. Missing scoring for BP events however is important, or you do not get your value of buying a battle pass.

Arc events just gives you materials, shards and sometimes blueprints, that you can get other ways. Battle pass points are only available in BP events (and two packs for more money in the store)

The scrap exchange gives “blue particle accelerators” which is the currency needed for the chimera hostiles. If you meant blueprints for the new ship, those need patches which you get from event payouts.

A New Galaxy-Wide Invasion has crashed into Star Trek Fleet Command

Commanders, it is time to join forces in a quest to defend our galaxy against this very bad man indeed! Sarris has declared war on this universe, and you must respond! The Sarris Invasion represents a new type of challenge for all Commanders. The invasion fleet is vast, and will require help from everyone to defeat. To best prepare you for this battle, we’ve provided this explainer on how an Invasion works:

What is a Galaxy Invasion?
Invasion is the term used to represent a threat to the entire server, in this case the Sarris Invasion. It is not just a single target to be defeated. The Sarris Invasion will be located in specific systems that are filled with Fatu Krey, the invading hostiles. There will also be Chimeras, a never before seen type of enemy known as Invading Entities!

How do you fight an Invasion? What is an Invading Entity?
The Sarris Invasion itself may not be a target but that does not mean it cannot be directly attacked! Every defeated Fatu Krey or Chimera will deal a small amount of damage to the HP of the Invasion itself. You start by defeating the Fatu Krey, which are suitable targets for Commanders of at least level 25. This will accumulate Fatu Krey Scraps, a currency that can be exchanged daily in the invasion store for Blue Particle Accelerators, which will be needed to fight the Chimeras.

Yea, is anyone reading that we need 105M? That's 75 chests. Or if you count what I get from hostiles half that. The 60-61's are tough - I'm killing 6-7/trip. I needu to use the Talios since my cargo on the Rotarran fills to fast. 6 hostiles and 6 chests/run. Do the math. That's maybe 13M/run. That's more than 8 runs. I don't have the time with every other loop in the game.

Your first mistake was to worry about the drops in cargo, the main loot is from the chests

I've killed thousands of the "heavy" transports in Romulus (how I locked Klingon at 1 billion) and never received any epic ship bps. I usually received Valdore, Vorta Vor and Pillum bps......which is how I was able to build the first 2 while only having 10 mil Rom rep.

I’ve been grinding in the capitols and deep space and they rarely drop. About 2 months ago I was grinding Kronos and I was getting a lot of korinar bps. But since moving on to Sol and Romulus they’re not dropping. So there’s definitely a rework of rng for those drop rates.

Within reason every game that has "online" play will experience issues with lag eventually. Some games it's pretty minor, other games is a serious issue. A lot of the time though on the PS/Xbox/PC you'll not get any form of compensation, as it's juts considerd a "risk" of playing online.

Prime example, the Christmas that D2 launched the whole game went down for like 3 days, got 0 comp and 0 communication from Bungie, they just fixed it and pretended like nothing happened.

The LBs don’t give join places, so it just lists people using some method. Supposedly ties are decided when the event ends. This is going to be a good test of that.
