Depends. I love the elegance behind the borg probe grind. One part upgraded in the Vidar, or one particular officer promoted, completely changes the ideal crew. PMT is a solid go to, but right now I'm doing better with kills and nano gains with SNW Uhura/T'Lann/Chen. Previously (before gettiny Uhura to T2) I did best with 5/7/Chen.
It's a new puzzle to be solved every month or so 🧠🤩

You should absolutly prioritize the Vidar. Bank the crystal needed to ensure you can upgrade the next part the moment you have the charged Nanos to do so (or math it out and stockpile for a spend event, if that's your stick). The returns from specialty ship progress will generally provide more long-term gain and progression to your game as a whole than one more level of research, or tier on a non-specialty ship.

Yes, there are difficult choices regarding crystal and combined with bad luck in officers, you might be ill-positioned to finish this event. I think there is an expectation for players of that level to finish up their vidari for the future content, eg. epic credit grind & talios. I don't think they're ignoring it, but they don't seem to agree with you.

So, running PMT on a near maxed vidar. Hitting lvl 30, I can run for a while on that, lvl 32, I can get only 1/4 of the ships. Not really wanting to spend 4 or 5 hours trying to complete this event. Such as it is, the “bar” that is set for me to attain is 64k, which comes out to an equivalent of almost 450 lvl 30 ships. Seen in the announcements that Scopely was going to lower that number, but after multiple resets, both forced as well as game crashes, number still hasn’t changed.

Each event is 3 tickets. You have done about 10 events approximately. There are 30 tickets, you have already given away Four Tickets, before. Every time you do an event you gave away 1, you would have given away 9 tickets plus those of the combat pass, for me you are putting it on pay.

What I mean is that they have removed the daily tickets that they gave away in the previous events.

Before they gave you the combat pass and they also gave you the newspapers. Which now the newspapers don't give you.
