Thats correct to skip the faction loop yes, but the big question what is the daily goal? As the Faction one could be 3 different ones, plus its for swarm aswell. Since it says you only need to kill 6 for daily. But swarm needs 7 so its not 100% clear atm

Can only speculate research complete does not affect the daily, and the daily is based on your ops. As the FKR / Swarm research unlocks points per kill which count towards normal goals not new goals. So x1 Kill for swarm would show 10/65 etc as conversion is 10 points for 1 kill

which means the daily goal also would show 1/6

So I am a level 37 and I usually upgrade to the next ops level after I finish upgrading all pieces of my station. With this new arc, you need to be level 38 to take full advantage. Do you think it would be worth doing the level up with speed ups to participate or not worth it? It is really around this new borg faction.

On most ships the best crew is 5(captain) ,Khan and then:
Kang if boss is an interceptor
Marcus if boss is an explorer
Charvranek if boss is a battleship.

If using an Ent though Kirk is a good choice instead of Khan. But on most other ships use 5,Khan and one of those 3 mentioned above👍

t4 I doubt you'll ever see a tangible difference, but lorca is still more likely to miss a round of breach here and there.
if both are t4: it's 75% chance for two rounds once per round vs 85% chance for three rounds, 6 times per round.

You’ll be able to upgrade your Frank (don’t forget you’ll need it for Swarm Sunday still!) from what you get in your dailies and you’ll lose maybe 10% of your FM2s as a cost of doing so.

for short battles it matters a lot more, these will be pretty long battles so the higher expected uptime for Hull Breach with Gorkon probably gets better results. Would have to look at firing patterns to check the expected uptimes for Gorkon/Khan though

Yeah, wasn't sure what the weapons vs shots was off the top of my head, think Khan is once per weapon no matter how many shots, but yeah, expect after a couple 2-3 rounds it's basically 100% uptime instead of Lorcas steady state of 89% at T3 (think its 70% for 2 rounds at T3, but would need to check)

Sorry, type/power for the Hostile ship. But if you are using PMC vs a Yellow you have 3 useless officers, so that’s not gonna work. If you have 5/Kirk/Spock I would suggest trying that as a first step (or Zhou if you don’t have 5, maybe Khan side Kirk Captain) and switch to stacking Defense (and probably Tendi) instead of using other Lower decks crew

But yeah, get rid of Sulu and remove the non-Tendi lower decks in favor of stacking stats, probably Defense for Spock but maybe Health too if you have 5. Lower Decks increases your displayed power , but in terms of combat effectiveness it’s almost always better to just stack more of a particular stat if you have a stat-based ability on one of your officers

A sneaky bug fix for something that's been there for almost a year would be interesting. It can be checked again, but Shield Overcharge is special in that it boosts total shield rather than base values like almost everything else.

Back when you first tried this crew, I said there was a flaw in using a cerri buff + mudd. The more shields you have, the longer it takes for mudd to activate and mudd can have a significant boost in your dps after he's on at your level.

Try Gorkon instead of Kerla. It's more even more dps-oriented and Khan should help activate hull breach.

As you're playing with RNG here, some of these crews might actually work if the crits land in your favor. I think you're close enough that it's doable at your level of development. But there's also a consistency in timing issue after your shield stripping ship. That last attempt had much more shield on it by the time your Brel attacked.

Perhaps go with the Cerri buff + Gorkon Kerla Khan.

Shields on yellows recover at a slow rate unless you completely strip the shield, if that happens then the yellow enters a quick shield replenish state. So the plan is strip as much of it as possible without fully depleting it, and engage with the 2nd ship with minimal delay.

I love your game. I love the community. The game you have created is an enjoyable escape from reality for me and many of the friends I play with. I recognize that I am not your target player as I do not buy packs due to life circumstance. So I understand that events are not geared towards me, they are geared to entice spend, and I support that. I am appreciative of the financial support others give that I get to enjoy.

I also understand that there are many play styles from miners, to hostile grinders, to PVPers, to raiders, and this diversity in play style is part of what makes this game so much fun and challenging, but is also what makes it difficult for your team to balance. It is a double edge sword and I recognize the good efforts your team does to balance this all. So kudos for what you all do.

The game however has been failing me and other free2play and lower spend of late. I understand that paired SMS were designed as a consolation prize to players who actively participated in the SLB, however due to a severe lack of other beneficial events to spend materials on, these paired SMS events have become, for many years the best place for f2p and low spend to advance our game state.

For many months now there have been no (or few) paired SMS, or where there were, milestones were set extremely high and/or rewards were pitiful. Please consider how your lower spend players advance mat heavy builds, research, and ships when designing these events. We need these events to stay relevant to the higher spenders.

We know we are not your biggest revenue stream on your financial statements, but we are essential to this game as we provide targets for your bigger revenue players.

~ We provide RSS to them when they raid us.
~ We provide entertainment for them when we try to punch up and attack them in PVP.
~ We fill their armadas.
~ We are the fodder in territory capture defenses.

Please keep us in mind.

When level 60s go out and gank level 40s, crew does not matter at all. Get a clue and get the car key out of your nose. That is why I sad limit the PVP to 3 level windows. Kind of like the scoring windows for the competative events like the Stella skin. Shy should a level 60 get credit for ganking someone 20 levels below him. Thats not a fight, thats clubbing baby seals for grins.

Not a PvP game. It's a PvE game with PvP elements. Otherwise, there would be a dedicated day every week to PvP like there already is with mining, swarms, and hostiles. Get a clue and quit trying to bully your own server. You should instead be demanding the return of Incursions. At least you don't have to deal with people you ganked for an entire day afterward.

Work with other alliances, and set up hunts where you guys put out ships in the system to whack each other and help each other finish the event. We have units on server 15 that do that. And it actually helps you get the event done pretty quick.
