Scopely is even worse than usual… 4 Valentine’s events that require almost 1 hour of grinding (I’m lvl 34) to complete 1. Server-wide and system-specific PvP SMS, SLB, & ALB. SMS that requires lvl 35, but open to lvl 32 - and you gotta pay $100 for it.

@abstract gate Good Evening, Yesterday, I brought up the question of the PVP SLB event being an issue in stopping players from being able to complete the battle pass event.

Your answer yesterday was that the battle pass event needed helps...so it was beneficial.

Tonight you have Battle pass event which is system specific PvE, you have Valentines event which is faction system PvE specific. Then we have a PvP System specific system...and still... System wide Forced PvP SLB event.

So is scoopley purposely trying to drive down player numbers and unload the servers or are they purposely trying to upset a rather large part of the player base?

There’s no escaping that I did pass on that they needed to be sympathetic with events, but the requirements on this event aren’t heavy (the ticketed events I fill my hold three times, for example) so with a couple of trips, spreading yourself across systems rather than going back to the same place, you’ll not have too much of a challenge even with someone like @nova valley guarding the door 😂

Level 37, one of these for each faction... On top of all the other events we have been graced with. Even faction hunt is usually in-between arcs and the only thing happening that day.

I've never seen my alliance of 91 members be so quiet in AC, and so few people even attempting to do events. Normally we win, and complete all events as part of just being allowed to stay in our alliance.

That requirement has been dropped due to the overwhelmingly poor reception of this event.

I might add... Selling a £20 pack, which on the surface looks "good" value... only to have your ability to claim rewards completely dunked on by the PvP event is extremely poor and disappointing as well. I did consider buying that... really glad I didn't now

Numbers - I'm ops 36 - hitting hostiles of ops 38-39, the "mini faction hunts" of the past two days I could complete with around 50 hostiles. Today's valentine's events will require 140 hostiles for each faction I decide to do. That's approximately a 3x increase for a "fun" event

@modest frost Did someone really feel you were being too generous with the Syndicate Advancement HSMS? Took months to grow to where I could finally hit the first milestone and get some Picard shards, then ... nope - switched officers. OK, at least I can get a couple of whomever is up that run. Now ... nope - upped the milestone requirements so none for you.
It's not like the low spenders are swimming in officer shards. Still don't have Picard unlocked. Would take 12 runs of this event to unlock Hugh at the current rate if I could hit the first milestone, but with the upped requirements, I just can't progress.
I understand some content is "premium", but I thought it eventually was supposed to become available to low spenders as new content is added. Ships seem to all have a reasonable, if slow, path to acquisition, why not some of the newer officers?

I'm not clear on the the differences between the < 40 hostiles and the > 40 hostiles. I can punch up to 42s in Jem space. How does that work in deep space? If you're 49 and can hit lvl 52... that's 25 kills.

So I sent 5 of my weakest ships.
In less than 5 minutes I had received 400 Assimilation Store Credits all the while doing the Hailing Frequency of 👎 to excite a reaction. I'm sure many got their jollies off kicking my ass.

There's no reason to send your most powerful ships only to have to replace all that Tritanium and speed ups.

All 5 ships less than 71 parsteel each to fix and 2 minutes to repair.

I find it so funny that people constantly complain about Scopely not 'giving a damn' about F2P when they literally made new officers sourcing completely f2p which players wanted and gave the new ship out free within a week from the arc starting.

Not to mention the ridiculousness of the criticism as if a company that provides a product or service is expected to give everything it does out free even though it would cause it to vanish for obvious reasons.

With Battlepass, Scopely has basically created a cheap entry point for f2p gamers for $20+$10. Basically, there is nothing wrong with that. But how many shards and blueprints for new good officers and ships are really connected with that, compared to the prices you have to pay in the store.
A 48h server-wide PvP event without restriction to certain territories fits more into the line of the high cost PayGamer. Unwanted attacks everywhere on the server after Valentine's Day and during Valentine's events speaks its own language. But as the saying goes - the manufacturer of the weapons can't help how people use them against others.

yes as you noted you get so much stuff to do in the game its amazing, Bajor/Mantis/Better Franklin/etc. Only problem is getting to 36 its a slow grind, my recommendation is to focus only on upgrading your ops building, ignore all ships etc. Focus on 1 ship and use that to carry you to ops 36. If strong enough dont tier the ship save the mats for ops upgrades.

Only event that would hinder your progress in BP events is this one

at lower levels (once you unlock the stella) its really hard to complete, you end up using your normal ship which becomes expensive on repairs etc. An activate alliance is good to help you get the stella parts fast

If the scoring mechanics change the event rewards, then that makes it a different event and should have been listed as one. That’s the point. They designed this to be a spenders only event, people found a way to get two milestones for free, Scopely changed the scoring to where at best you only get one milestone for free again.

It’s one of the increasing “spend or get out” events because they apparently are making less and less money monthly on packs, and instead of improving the game and fixing issues and stopping with the constant stream of money only primes, they are just pushing more money-gated events in your face.

If you aren’t spending a minimum of $300 a month on this game, you are not the player they want and you’ll never even be just slightly behind the advancement curve.

How many PTS would you get at the very least?

I checked score before and after to see if banner is correct. I only got 200m PTS
I even used Talios for extra PTS but that did nothing.
When I do 36s Probes I get 200-280m in average depending on crit luck.
When I did 37s with Cerritos boost I only got 200m every single time no matter if I did 0 crits or 5+ crits (including the 60m+ shot)
When Cerritos boost ran out on the 37s I got 280-300m per probe and with lucky crit even 400m+

So what's the deal with the faulty scoring?????

There is a buy limit for each of the exchanges. That limitation is being looked at and will be addressed soon. Some players have found a workaround by leveling to an ops where a different, higher quality exchange is available. Leveling will then "reset" that exchange.

We just lost a player due to the account access issue (the announcement blamed an apple change, but it happened immediately after the backend maintenance occurred, so scopely had a hand in the issue). Plus not all ios customers were impacted, including many that were fully upgraded - so theres much more at play here I imagine. Bottom line, scopely needs to shield everyone for a few days while this gets sorted. I presume many low level players will simply walk away as they arent invested in it.

So you go to apple setting, game centre, sign out, open Stfc it will load and ask you your game centre login, you login with your Apple ID and that’s you hopefully back into your account, it’s worked for me and a few others on my sever now

This will only work for those that didnt already do the sign in with scopely ID option in the game and had to guess which profile Yes vs No meant in the popup and picked the wrong one sadly - as now their game center and scopely ID accounts are linked to the wrong player profile sadly. We will share that for those that havent done that yet. Scopely needs to improve the SSO experience, heck dont use Game Center or Google Play at all in their process and use Scopely ID only - like pretty much every other game these days.

I did find a potential work around. A friend told me my base was still there, so the account wasn't deleted. Since I originally played on android I took a chance and logged in to my old android tablet hoping to shield. My original game was still there logged in thru play store. I was then able to log into scoly ID and got my game progress accessible thru my ScoplyID. I was robbed of ability to complete apex sms (eclipse hostiles) but still have most of rss.
