probably has more complicated code than stfc.

i can only see partial amounts of their code because it requires quite a bit of sophistication to reverse engineer their stuff. but scopely ported to unity 6 and left a ton of broken 2019 in there.

the way stfc works is, it works on low memory devices but it makes no use of any unity 6 advantages besides basic stability.

Two of Scopely’s events are currently not scoring correctly. The new Academy drone.sms and the a cold directive SMS is not scoring correctly. A cold directive I’ve destroyed 59 of the brain chips and I still cannot get over 3200 points. You’re supposed to get 100 points per kill.

Unbelievable, though not so much anymore. It doesn't count enemy kills toward daily objectives or daily missions. It doesn't work either when connected via a wired PC connection or on a mobile device.

Let's bring in the conspiracy theory logic here: Mass whale exodus a few months ago resulted in an increase of Heroic events, but that didn't help balance the budget because those left aren't buying even more... cloud providers want their bills paid or services have been moved to "budget economy levels"... servers are being shut down, causing the now stated "lag"... and worse, the problem now cascades.

I'm going to play a little bit of devil's advocate here based on observations (I have a software development background) - for a few weeks the game has been doing a funky multiple message effect when recalling / docking ships / warping / etc. It was an apparent fix to ships being sent immediately home on recall losing cargo in the process. In addition, attacks for the last couple of weeks had 2 or 3 "course corrections" to get to the target instead of a straight path. This tells me a temporary solution was put in by duplicating messages between client and server to insure receipt of the message... and this behavior has "improved" the last couple of days back to more original immediate response... meaning I suspect lag is more of a case of some loss of messaging somewhere in the chain than slow servers...

Left my alliance 2 wks ago cuz I wasn't gonna be active enough to be a contributing member. I was planning to log in to pull, claim, do 1 or 2 things every day less than an hr but claiming kept on crashing the game, I stopped that as well. I logged in maybe 2,3 times a week. Did one slb, dauntless run and that didn't have any issues so I logged in fully since 2 days or so ago. Dauntless broke, nothing is scoring in event now. Yeah, I'm seriously thinking about going back to another game. This one seems to have run its course to the point where developers can't keep it operating correctly.... 6 years, this game should run silky smooth, not lag cebtral, scoring issues... cash grabs

I find it odd how tight Scopely is with compensations. Most mobile games with similar bloated pricing that I've played tend to be quite generous with them, and will compensate for the slightest inconvenience. For example: "the Spanish translation of this game had some spelling errors, therefore we award X premium currency. We apologize for the inconvenience." (gets sent out to EVERYONE, regardless of language setting). That's an example of extreme efforts to keep players happy through compensations of course, but it's a night and day difference with what I'm experiencing in this game. Scopely awards you an expired McDonald's coupon and an empty bubblegum wrapper for an event, that people spend money on to be competitive, being completely broken.

I have another game I play that is like "we had to take the game down for a scheduled maintenance, sorry for your inconvenience. Here is a comp chest." Every time. It's seriously so different lol. It's the equivalent of like a few thousand lat for that game's currency. It's not a huge comp chest. It's like 50 of that game's gems and they sprinkle those like candy, but it is a more premium currency. (In a game where when you spend gems, it's like 50 or 100 gems)
