Since back when they added DTI to the game FKR credits and ship bps have been really easy to get. Farm MU to push your rep up and then do the daily message exchange with the DTI favour and you can get a lot of credits each day. Plus DTI has a credit claim that scales with Relativity tier and then theres also just the DTI claim that gives you BPs
I used the challenge refinery to push the squall upto T17 now.

There is also arena (kill 5 PvP ships with Venge) event on Fridays that gives extra 1200 parts or so.

I think they've setup in such a way to let the vast majority of the damage from the drone make it to crit mitigation. my standard mitigation/apex from research is high enough that not much damage is left to get to crit mitigation (and a low academy building doesn't help. lol)

I did find with a test just now, that if I remove all officers from the ship that do any kind of mitigation and attack the drones against the triangle (for me, rel vs. battleship), my mitigation score with my pitiful building went up 5x from the normal crew I was using, so that may have something to do with the really big scores? got me

the trick does appear to be to let all the damage you can fitler through to crit mitigation. with a decent lvl academy, you should be able to put up some really big scores
