one point that has been talked about but not fully emphasized in my opinion, is what keeps a lot of the players here, is the other players they have met and made friendships with.
the point thats not being emphasized is that with the in game chat being broken, that is being taken away from the players, so essentially increasing the odds of more players leaving the game by taking away the last thing they had to play for.
