Scopley has to realize the VAST majority of it's player base does not have hundreds or thousands of dollars to spend on their game every single month. If they really want to increase spending and player happiness, rework the packs. having EVERY SINGLE PACK at $99.99 is untenable. You don't have to include 3-5 star mats when all we want is maybe Borg Sphere parts, etc., base the mats in packs based on the level of the players purchasing(I'm ops 71, give me 5-7* MATS, i have 0 used for 3-4* mats). The Choice tokens, ooooh, don't get me started......God Forbid we choose what mats we want from the BP. You tease us with Choice and then you rip it away like an abusive parent teases their child with a good meal. You say the players are your Boss? THEN act like it. Scopley has lost 48,000 accounts in the last year alone, that is 25% of the player base(Thank you @opal plover for that nugget of information. That being said, I personally have spent thousands of dollars on this game over the years and unless Scopley reverses course on the way they are going, i will spend no more money on this game and do the entire game FTP(Assuming i dont leave my alliance, let them raid me and delete my account entirely). My first reaction to this was exactly as those who are complaining. Before this arc, FTP would have received this 'compensation' as standard in the free battlepass. it looks good on paper because the current battlepass for this arc has been gutted out to the point of nothing. Is this a nice comp yes, but really its just giving us back what we should have had if they hadnt messed with the battlepass. As a gesture to do with the stability thats great.

I think players would generally be happy with this:

1. Restore choice tokens and give us one arc worth up front
2. Roll back AT and reset it so it starts again today
3. Commit to specific fixes for things like the broken officers and high-impact features, with individual timelines for each item
4. Roll back Leslie but add a level limit to avoid breaking G7

These are all things that could be done today, with minimal effort (#3 is just specific commitments - not having all the fixes today) and minimal cost.

The goal should not be to squeeze even more money out of the player base. Scopely already charges $99 for some pixels and all of it goes away if this game disappears tomorrow.

The goal should be to make it easier for people to progress (ie less stingy with mats and rewards, and more of each) and for people to have fun while doing it.

People who are having fun and enjoying the game are more likely to spend money then people who feel like they are being cornered and given no choice.

It helps cover it a little bit, but it doesn't actually aid the injury beneath it.

Player sentiment is super low right now not just because of the stability issues, but because in the same month as introducing the pre-warned poor G5 Scrapping, the Devs have also gutted Depot Tokens, Choice Tokens and the Alliance Tournament in one fell swoop.

F2P was hard work enough, but when the motivation is taken away, there's very little point in engaging and people just give up. Those who aren't F2P are equally disappointed, because of a tremendous drop in value compared to previous arcs, and the new tasks requiring an even higher spend.

Our alliance would participate substantially in Tournaments - getting to 3rd recently, but this time around it's fallen off a cliff. People can't compete to the same level, the F2P attainable tasks are fewer and further between, and the choice tokens made some of the tasks more accessible.

This arc has also been rather disappointing - it feels pointless engaging with it as an Ops63, with no access to a G6 Rare, for both waves and drones when they reach 62+.

We know how far in advance these arcs are planned, but was this prior to Conor's statement and apology before? Certainly feels like it.

Does Scopely understand that beyond the technical issues, the actual design of this release is poorly thought out and greedy. OK, after some quick math, here's what I found. If the battlepass point you get for events from here to the end of the arc apply to both the normal and compensation battlepass, then by the end of the arc both should be fully unlocked. This is NOT what the original anouncement stated.
