Its a gray area. Executives do usually have a fidcuiary duty to the company. I would interperet that as keeping products, services, and reputation viable, but legally that would be hard.

Butā€¦ are they present? How much do they listen? For instance, they got goo feedback about Bajoran faction store. Suddenly most refines entered faction store after they introduced batch redeem for refinery, a feature players loved after a long wait. They could play new content.

They still havenā€™t added batch refine to other areas. But introduce things that arenā€™t asked for.

If he/they were ā€œhereā€/present/listening, the updates and changes would implement easy (and free) community wins. They would also strike a balance with mechanics that honor precedence while making adjustments towards new and future content.

Yup. Their priority is to make money. Part of that is via customer retention.

Iā€™m a g7 full ftp. They donā€™t make money directly off me. They make money off people that:

  1. get into a measuring contest with me. Especially because some spenders donā€™t think they should be ā€œlosingā€ to me
  2. me helping players that understand how to engage with every content cycle. People ask me how packs will help them. They become engaged, paying consumers.
  3. me previously jump starting teammates who otherwise neglected several pieces of content. Probably kept them at least a few dozen people willing to at least buy battlepass

You guys keep saying they never fix bugs, and that just isn't the case.

Remember when there was a bug that allowed you to complete research without most of the cost?
Remember how fast that bug got fixed?
They even created a whole rollback script to selectively alter nearly 1,800 accounts to reset that.

And they did that in just days. So think about that the next time you say Scopely can't or doesn't fix bugs.
