Sphere is one of them, which like I said was always weak and more infiltration than anything else. First contact, its the only ship capable of time travel and is easily destroyed by the Enterprise on purpose, to fire weapons the Borg knew shields had to be dropped and this knowledge was previously acquired from Picard.
When there space was invaded the spheres got demolished, though they are faster and more maneuverable than the Cube, the Cube is the tank

Removing rerolls from completing task is absolutely killing the tourney. You can barely get good tasks now with the way the tasks generate.

Given the vast almost infinite amount of repair speed ups players eventually accumulate (even sigma), a repair speed boost is not compelling. Maybe a repair cost benefit could be? But then I’d need a ship with extremely high costs and the below decks slot to sacrifice.

Agreed. The big 👀 for me is that they are taking away the ability to get rerolls from completing tasks, and putting a 4k reroll token cap in place. This is a blatant push to pinch players for the extra pennies. Fewer rerolls within the alliance will limit our ability to reroll for the high score ftp tasks

There is an issue with high level players saving up refreshes and refusing to do any tasks but the one they want, but taking refreshes away from everyone else doesn't fix that.

I feel like the repair speed up economy in the game was never strategically planned to scale well. It’s a hurdle for new low level players, but eventually repairs become instant, dirt cheap, and something you never worry about. Even sigma quickly falls from costly to essentially free.
However, it would be a HUGE shift to the gameplay experience if repair speeds remained more limited throughout a player’s progression. We’d be much less willing to sacrifice ships left and right. But there’d also be a discouragement to play and exploring different styles of crewing if we had to ration our speed ups when the Velox goes boom
