As for the 2026 presentation video... besides the fact that it's full of empty talk, I find it strange that your community manager is only level 48... in an area that seems difficult for many players, while the new epic ships are now level 50+... her progression in two years is ridiculous! She probably wouldn't even play anymore if she weren't your employee... that's the impression she gives... It seems obvious that you should greatly simplify the game so that new players can access the most valuable content as quickly as possible without having to mortgage their homes... <@&509690795536941056>

They did say they were going to do maintenance each week while they're addressing all the lag/bugs that people have been complaining about.
In tech, it's generally better to apply a larger number of small changes than a single patch with lots of fixes, because it reduces the chance something further will go wrong, and makes any problems easier to isolate.
So yeah, it's a couple of hours downtime / week, but given how buggy the game was, it's something i'm actually glad they're taking seriously and addressing.
i.e. If you're like me, and complaining about all the issues, it's illogical to complain about them putting in measures to try and get them fixed - somewhere you've got make your mind up, would you prefer a buggy game, or them taking the effort to try and address etc.

- what is the pre-requisite for seeing them? Is it simply Ops 70, or shipyard 70?

It’s not easy, the scoring is a challenge. I’ve seen me scoring over 150m points on a normal spend mats event but only reached milestone one or two of the vengeance one for the same materials. This is the current scoring on the event so you can do some of the new building stuff as well

@queen jolt I know you don't have anything to do with what is in updates, but it's extremely frustrating that "fixes" for mid-month patch amounts to text fixes for missions or a ship's displayed power. However, the main content released in November has been broken for nearly 2 months. Not to mention all the other actual bugs that need fixing while a new prime that's probably $200+ gets released. The community is heavily frustrated and nothing seems to change, even the promises that have been given multiple times over the 2 years I've played let alone the countless other times promises were made but never delivered. Remember "Quality over Quantity" from the 2024 roadmap, cause that's all the GM is saying to us with no improvements

Maintenance (at least for the last several months, if not forever) in the US has been around 3 AM Eastern Standard Time (New York). This is really strange for them to move the start time of it to a peak time for a game like this... people want to play for 10 or 15 minutes before they get outta bed, while they are eating breakfast, yadda yadda. Maintenance has almost always been done in non-peak times in the US. If they aren't doing maintenance around 3am for APAC or EU thats a bit of a foul IMO.

1). That announcement comes across every week or so. I get a notification that says the same sentence at the begining and I go, "Oh cool, maintenance period". It has never behooved me to read into the message post the notification.
2). The time for maintenance is almost always during a non-peak time. This is a little crazy, to do it when players are up.
3). I wonder if they have a strategic reason for it, like maybe an outage or some other maintenance that's out of their hands so they are killing 2 birds with one stone.

Since APAC and EU servers went into DST at same time as US servers we are still out till we change our everyday clocks at end of the month. Why because EU and APAC servers are actually located in the US instead of being local. Explains why we suffer more lag and ping

The joke is the timing of the task reset and the events. The Task reset was last night but event ends in a few hours (XALB) with a new one starting right after. Now players have no choice but to collect the task because they won't be able to see the events. It's amazing how much worse can be done on top of awful.....
