Just wanted to share a personal thought about those new maverick events. Those events are aimed at players above lvl 55. All players below that level have indeed different targets.
That's good for rewards and maybe for Scopely since you have seperate packs on sale.
But with such thinking you have created a rift in the alliance. Some were proud to have diversity in their ranks with both big and smaller players.
We had pride in having diversity in our alliance with bigger player helping little ones.
Now, with all the crazy aims you set to each group, bigger players are occupied to fill the gap of the missing players needed to achieve the alliance targets.
In doing so you therefore leave no choice to these alliances. It will lead some bigger players to leave and join alliances with only lvl 55 players and above.
So long then for diversity. Let all smaller players be among themselves and bigger ones with big players.
This is just like school. thanks to all game designers for that.

If people were done with loops they had to end up doing straight mat spend anyways, and to much higher amounts. There were very few loops that allowed for large scale overflow spending at the end, and Scopely made sure to remove those as options when they were noticed.

the real problem with CoTA from scopely's POV was that f2p hoarders were getting the new officers unlocked and tiered up faster than the actual paying customers 😂

There are players who have problems with current events and current hostiles.
If you add in an additional buff to the hostiles that are needed for progression or a debuff to the player's ship, then it'll be harder for a player to progress. Especially if it is in a system that is needed for that day of events or for Dailies in general.

Sure, have that be in some random system that isn't needed for the day. Like Stella systems not on Thursdays.

But if you have this anomaly happen in a system that will be used or visited by a lot of players for that day, then maybe half of those players will just give up and not bother trying the event or grinding on those hostiles for the day, thus limiting their progression.

I fear there will be a mass exodus of players from the game should this have an effect on systems with hostiles that are needed for ANY Daily or ANY Event.
